The Rattler

Life never goes the way we plan.

Sam discovered this the moment he was kidnapped. Stolen from all he knew while defending the honour of Molly, his twin sister, he is forced into a life of piracy. Now an unwilling part of the Bone Rattler’s crew, he must swallow his fears and learn how to survive in a brutal world. Above all else, he wishes to return home to his family and to Molly.

The journey will not be easy. Sam must first endure a fighting ritual to prove his value to the captain. Should he fail, certain death awaits. He listens to stories from the crew. Tales of torture and violence so horrific he doubts he has the strength to persevere. An unexpected miracle happens just when he is reduced to his lowest, though whether it is a blessing or curse remains to be seen.

Sam sails the ocean, adventuring through storms and encounters with mythical creatures that should not exist. Everything he does brings him one step closer to escaping the Bone Rattler and returning to a life now far behind him.
