Description

The H2LiftShip series explores an outer space-faring society, using Solar Sail powered cargo ships. There are no fantasy FTL drives, computers spouting fireworks, or blasters. Rocket ships are used by the Heliospheric Navy and Octopuses are the only aliens.

Ships launch from Earth using Hydrogen for lift with the assistance of solid-state and hydrogen boosters. Once free of the confines of gravity, the crew reconfigures the empty shell to a solar sail. Nuclear engines power the laser boost cannons and coal is used at the asteroid smelters.

From the launch from Earth to both ends of the Heliosphere, our crew travel, trade, and party throughout the void.

BosonsWave continues the journey of Captain Graciela and her crew as they confront the agal rockets controlled by rogue bioGel computer tablets.

Captain Graciela, her crew, and the Heliospheric Navy have a battle on their hands.

H2LiftShips - A Back Story (Volume 2 in the Series)

The back story for the crew starts at the Luna Academy, then a trip to Earth and outer space. The crew deals with pirates, bioGel mutiny, divorce asteroids, casinos, and always, food.

A Note From the Publisher

Trigger Warnings
These space stories take place in Sol’s heliosphere. They contain real science, pseudo-science and stuff pulled out of thin air.
If you enjoy long, complex lead-ins as part of a world-building story, this series is for you. Otherwise, maybe try something lighter and flashy.
No blasters. No FTL drives. No Computers blasting fireworks. No physical violence. No sex, except for a little kerfuffle with canines and their pheromones.
Some Death issues on the Mort Asteroid, but after living on Sol’s rocks, we all die eventually.
Gambling, some drinking, passive-aggressive families, lying, stealing, and double-dealing, e.g. normal sentients, mostly nice. But watch your back.
Scientific names (Genus/species), puns, and unique spellings abound.
Written in English with a few French, Yiddish, Spanglish, Latin, and Doglish words thrown in.
Knowledge of octopus color languages and Morse code are not required, but couldn't hurt.
