Each story is a standalone with a different horse and a different time period/event. "Blue Skies West" tells the story of the Oregon Trail from Blue's perspective. He and his rider, Charlie, will face many different challenges along the Oregon Trail when Charlie's family decides to head out from the Midwest. Though the book series is geared particularly for children ages 8-12, there has been plenty of older and younger readers who have enjoyed them as well!
