This was a strong sequel in the Cathar Grail Quest Saga series, it had what I enjoyed from the first book. The characters felt like the same people and the same world. I enjoyed how good the plot was what I expected and it worked well. It felt like the same storyline and I'm glad I got to read this. It was a great sequel to Graëlfire and I enjoyed how Stephen Chamberlain wrote this.
"Oh, the hekkà. It’s just a vestige of our evolution. I’ve had mine removed.” She smiled. “Don’t look at me like that.
You know that little pink lump in the corner of your eye?” She pointed with her finger to the corner of her right eye
nearest her nose. Lena nodded. “It’s the remnant of a third eyelid your human ancestors once had.”
