Advance Praise

“Those who are lucky enough to have been love-struck in their teenage hearts know that it’s a pain they would never exchange for anything else. My days of romance and dance in the late sixties were populated by a handful of beautiful, freedom-loving creatures—one such ephemeral soul was Juliette Bora (that was her name then). I remember The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ playing while out clubbing together in Tramps and ‘Everyday People’ by Sly Stone down in the Cromwellian, but were we totally conscious? My journey of life with her ended in a slightly regrettable way. She would admit we were on different paths. I didn’t even cotton that she was a Muslim—but then religion didn’t actually matter in those days—but I knew she was Turkish, and she knew I had a Greek streak in me. How ignorant we were in those unhinged days. Songs still manage to preserve those feelings, don’t they? We did link up again briefly in LA while I was on an earnest search for a wife in the late seventies. Her recollection may be slightly different from mine, but we both agree it was kismet, wasn’t it? Love and peace.”

—Yusuf/Cat Stevens

“Some people imagine lives but never live them. Juliette has lived a life that can only be described as incredible, unbelievable yet absolutely true. To be able to survive, then prosper and succeed doing so many things other people would only dream of, is one thing. To be able to chronicle it in this autobiographical narrative requires a deep understanding of yourself that most people do not arrive at in life. Her story, In Between the Magic, shows us the inspiration and indomitability of her spirit.”

—Terrence Mann, Tony Award-nominated actor, singer, and theatre director (appearances include: Cats, Les Misérables, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Beauty and the Beast, and Pippen)

“As a husband, father, peak performance coach, and close associate of Tony Robbins, I proudly endorse the real, raw, and empowering lessons In Between the Magic unveils. The crafty combination of storytelling, drama, truths, humor, and psychological framework reminds us how to unlock one’s inner power by aligning determination with the mind, body, and spirit. Juliette pulls no punches with sharing her wildly authentic story centered around courage, finding your inner strength and true self when the world does its best to condition and program us to be something we are not. In Between the Magic is the real-life playbook for transitioning from a survival mode mentality to a thriving existence and will help a lot of people who desperately need it. Enjoy the ride!”

—James Cunnings, senior platinum coaching executive for Tony Robbins @ Robbins Research International, Inc.

“This book, In Between the Magic, is beautiful, sad, poignant, hilariously funny, and a bit bat sh*t bonkers . . . but more than anything, it’s totally Juliette.”

—Barry Ryan, renowned photographer, musical artist, London, England
