This story is the 2nd novel from Sydney Logan. I enjoyed this story because it really examines how these characters feel about themselves, their family traditions and beginnings, and each other. It is not predictable or cliche. It gives light to some of the history and traditions in the Appalachian culture, which many are not familiar with. Sydney Logan paints a beautiful picture and you feel like you are part of the story. I am grateful that I was given the ARC of this book to read. I plan to read it again and again when I need something to lift my spirits and believe in the goodness of others. I rate this book a 5 out of 5. ~ Jennifer Hensley - Goodreads Reviewer
