After years of thinking she wants to marry her long-time boyfriend, when she sees him about to propose, Annie freaks out. Cue the mother of all break-ups.

On top of that, Annie's passion for fashion is not exactly fulfilled by her job – dressing well-to-do ladies with way more money than style. Cue losing it in work – in her post break-up addled state – and getting the sack.

Into Annie's train-wreck of a life comes silver-haired Sylvia – ex-Hollywood costume lady, vintage clothing queen and one hell of a woman. Sylvia has seen it all and done it all and her life makes Annie's look about as exciting as Songs of Praise. Sylvia tells Annie that the secret of happiness is to discover her 'heart wish'. If only Annie could work out what her heart's greatest wish really is . . .
