Description
"All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to Me."
The Great Commission that follows this passage is an invitation for you to participate and revel in the
joy of His power. Jesus holds all authority, and He wants to include you in His mission. What can you
do to be included in His mission and why should you be enabled to catch a vision of His glory?
Because His Grace is sufficient far beyond your personal salvation unto the expansion of His Kingdom.
You may, like many Christians, suffer from an incomplete view of God's Grace. Perhaps you don't actually believe it is sufficient to live out the Great Commission in your own mission field, which has led to an anemic lifestyle that fall short of His Glory. Join Carlos and Liliana Llambes, two missionaries active in the field, as they provide insight and food for thought on the total sufficiency of God's Grace – particularly in recognizing that it applies to you living the Great Commission. Use the questions and charges provided to take you, or your study group, through a journey you won't soon forget!
Is the Great Commission only for missionaries or does it apply to every believer, every church, everywhere? The answer may surprise you. Do you believe God's Grace is totally sufficient?

Grace: The Real Power to Proclaim the Gospel
5 out of 5 stars
By Bart L Denny June 12, 2013
Format:Paperback
Carlos and Liliana Llambes are missionaries to the Dominican Republic who have, in cooperation with the Dominican Baptist Convention, planted over 80 churches. I expected this book to be the story of how they lived out the Great Commission. To the extent their own experiences supported the larger theme of the book, this was true. Carlos and Liliana do share their testimony of salvation through Jesus Christ, however, they have a much bigger--and even more powerful--message to proclaim than their own story.
If you are looking for the next "gimmick" in witnessing for Christ, "Living the Great Commission" isn't it. Rather, this back-to-basics book avoids many of the "in the weeds" details (and overused jargon) of personal and conversational evangelism, missions, and church planting, and focuses on the one thing that empowers believers to live a Great Commission lifestyle---God's overwhelming, all-powerful, and all-sufficient grace. What is God's grace, how do we apply it in our lives, and how do we share that meaning with others?
I particularly appreciated the relatively short chapter lengths and the end-of-chapter questions for contemplation and reflection, which--along with the book's powerful but eminently readable message-- makes "Living the Great Commission" a great book for personal devotions and the perfect subject for your next small group study. This book will both challenge you and encourage you to live a life of incarnational evangelism. Read it and pass it along! I will be buying several for friends and small group participants (when Amazon gets more copies).

These Llambes family missionaries do a great job discussing how grace not only saves us eternally, but empowers us during this life for work to advance the kingdom. If you are like me and sometimes get the mistaken notion that my ministry depends on me, this book is a great reminder that it is by grace we are saved and it is by grace we serve at the Father's pleasure. All results depend on the Father.
The Grace of God

I have personally had the joy of working with Carlos Llambes and his family in the church planting ministry God has called them to in the D.R. This book expresses what I have seen to be true as we go on mission with God. God's grace is enough to save us, sustain us, and also to fulfill the Great Commission according to Matthew 28:18-20. What God has called us to do, He enables us to do by His grace. Carlos in this book challenges us to live out what we believe about our God. His grace is truly amazing and sufficient for whatever we may face as we engage a lost and dying world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I strongly recommend this book!
God's Grace - Pass It On
By Cathy D.Dudley February 24, 2013
Format: Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
In the past, I have primarily connected God's Grace with the story of the cross and the suffering and death of Jesus to provide eternal life for believers. But, in their book, "Living the Great Commission", the Llambes explain that God's Grace is not just about what He has already done ... God's Grace is on- going and active TODAY, especially through the power of His Holy Spirit working in us! In church planting, Carlos and Liliana and their children have experienced this in their own lives. So, I want to thank them for this book that expands one's definition and understanding of God's Grace to now include Him being there to love and empower us to be brave enough to pass on His Grace to our neighbors - even if it means we must leave our comfort zones. I encourage you to read "Living the Great Commission". I promise its' message will strengthen you to obey His call in your own life!
Awesome read. The Real Deal.

Carlos explains the means of grace in the gospel and our responsibility. "Grace means that God moves
heaven and earth to save sinners who are not able lift a finger to save themselves. It has been a part of
His plan since before the beginning of time."
He allows us to walk with him on His journey through the grace of God in missions, by challenging us
to leave our comfort zones. He asks pointed questions to challenge us not to be comfortable, but to be
about God's good, pleasing, and perfect will. Chase God on your knees is what Carlos challenges us to
do, well he challenges me to do. I fall so short in ministry and I am thankful for a brother who cares
enough to challenge the status quo and call people out of the pews and motivates them to ministry, no
matter where it takes them. May God bless you as you read this one Missionary families journey
through the rocky road of life with an amazingly awesome God who provides, even through storms.
PERSONAL REVIEWS:
“From the heart of a real, humble missionary comes a trumpet blast to remind us that if God’s Grace is sufficient to save US, it must also be sufficient to save THEM. His grace did not stop with OUR salvation, nor does it even pause within OUR sanctification, but it powers forward to the WORLD’S evangelization. Herein, Carlos Llambes properly connects Sola Gratia to Soli Deo Gloria.”
Hoyt Lovelace, PhD
President, Global Church Planting Partners
“This book is worthy of your consideration because it is written, not by theoreticians, but by practitioners. Carlos and Lily Llambes, along with their children, serve on the front lines of advancing the gospel in a difficult place. It has a ring of authenticity that cannot be ignored. If you care about making Jesus Christ known among the nations, read this book.”
Pastor Tom Ascol, PhD
Grace Baptist Church, Cape Coral, Florida, USA
Executive Director of Founders Ministries
“The book has already been used by God to convict me and encourage me that His Grace is more than sufficient in my own life. It's easy to become discouraged while pastoring a tiny, seemingly lifeless church, but God's grace is enough; it brings life to every area it touches. Thankfully, there is not area that His Grace does not touch!”
Pastor Hopson Boutot
Belmar Baptist Church
PhD candidate in preaching, Southern Bapstist Theological Seminary.
