Not just physically wounded, Detective Devan Burke is emotionally wounded after an officer involved shooting. The highlight of his day is stopping for coffee every night on his way home and flirting with the pretty barista, Luci. When she's the victim of a robbery and attempted rape, Devan finds new purpose and does everything he can to protect her. Concern for her turns to love. Luci has her own emotional baggage and together they heal each other.
I enjoyed the story. I found the information on Russian tattoos especially interesting. Well-paced with lots of action, like other reviews said, "Shot in the Dark" has something for everyone, romance, suspense, humor and like-able characters.
