Description
Abbey learned one thing first, before she began running, never help a SHIFTER. Remember that old saying: no good deed goes unpunished.
Well she had not actually meant to help him. He had been injured and taken advantage of her so she helped him the first time and because of this, she lost her job and career. Great, she hoped she never saw this strange man again. So she ran, except she was left with a strange memory of his eyes changing to those of a cat.
But he found her again because he needed help once more. She did what was necessary to get rid of him and helped him get his funds, except she was left with a strange bite mark and the memory of a huge black cat in the night above her in her bed. This time she was running with a serious thought, not to have him find her ever again. There was something more than just strange about this man, he was a threat to her in ways she did not want to admit.
So she ran from the black ghost through Indian Reservations, from archeological digs in the northwest, down to the lost areas of poorer Mexico, through jungles and back into the giant towering buildings of bustling cities.
Yet where ever she went was a black ghost that haunted her dreams and sent a sexual pull that she could not turn off.

Review:
Beth is on the run from a man she has named the Black Ghost. Little does she know he can track her anywhere, thanks to the bite he gave her when they were together. Now, she is perpetually on the run from Noble, the ghost, as well as bad people who want Noble dead.
Beth doesn’t believe in ghosts or shifters, but how can she refute their existence when she sees them change with her own eyes?
When Beth is about to die, only one thing can save her, but will Noble be in time, and will Beth agree to his plan?
Black Ghost Runner is a love story, with lots of action. Beth’s planning for her frequent disappearances is very well done, but once she received Noble’s bite, there is nowhere to hide from him. Now she has to decide if she really wants to hide, or if she believes him when he says she’s in danger. I liked Noble’s stoic acceptance of all that befalls him, and I liked Beth’s courage under fire. It’s a good shifter story and I think you’ll like it, too.
