And escape seemed impossible.

This updated edition is a rerelease of the story (post-2024). This book's completion date occurred on September 24, 2025 (last revision).

A Note From the Publisher

Part 1 and an added Part 2 were released in 2018 for the unedited second edition (441 pages, in a smaller trim size: 4 x 6.5 in.).

Only Part 1 was released in 2016. It was an alternate version of Part 1 for the unedited first edition (260 pages in a smaller trim size of 5.25 x 8 in.). The unedited first edition was ranked #14 in the Free Dystopian category (#753 on the Free List in the U.S. Kindle Store) on April 26, 2016, during a five-day free promotion.

The third edition (late 2024) is at 357 pages (5.5 x 8.5 in.). Only the third edition was first involved with an editor and proofreaders (January 2025 to March 2025), with the last revision in September 2025. Advertising for this book began in late 2024, following a hiatus from 2018.

Albeit with the latest fixes to grammar and character updates, this book still maintains the writing style from 2018 when envisioning the future for this book's future audience.
