Synopsis:
Hilary Kelly receives an invitation to be in her best friend Maria Batista's wedding in Manaus, Brazil, and Lou Malloy decides that it would be best if he went with her.
What was supposed to be a fun getaway, ends up being a dangerous adventure...
Upon arrival, they are met by Davi, one of Maria's servants. Davi tells them that Maria's fiancé, Salvador Iglesias, has been killed and she has been been forced to vacate her family's plantation, where they have lived since the late 1800s.
Maria escaped and is trying to make her way to the land of the Blue Cat, where she will be safe, but it is a long and dangerous trek to get there. Legend tells of this great beast, a blue cat, that roams that part of Brazil protecting all who live near the Twin Mountains. The Blue Cat is part man and part animal. It acts as a vigilante, showing up at just the right time to remove dangerous people and then disappears. The land of the Blue Cat is a very sacred place. No one is allowed there unless they have been granted passage from one of the rulers of the Airomars, a dangerous Indian tribe. To be there without permission is almost certain death.
Meanwhile, Hilary and Lou learn that Hitler is still alive and living in Brazil. He has hid a hundred million in gold that he brought from Germany after World War II and is trying to create a new and more powerful Germany, using the land from the Batista plantation.
Hilary and Malloy are determined to save Maria from being killed and drive out the people trying to take over her plantation.
