After a first visit to Paris, the question, what would it take to live there? started to percolate, becoming belligerent. Drawn to the history, beauty and value system of France, Piotter and his wife embark on an implausible journey by giving up a comfortable, middle-class life which suited neither of them. Risking homelessness, they stepped into the void by selling their house, gave away most of their possessions and stored what was left.
