Description
A mythic journey. A fractured past. A boy haunted by silence.
Phoenix Knight: The Lost Son is a literary fantasy about grief, legacy, and the hidden wars we inherit.
Phoenix Knight lives on the edge — introspective, haunted, and adrift in a Southern college town full of secrets. When his mother disappears, he’s drawn into a shadowed world of forgotten history and hidden powers that connect to a mythic truth buried in his bloodline.
As the Lyceum reveals its secrets, Phoenix must confront who he really is — and who he was never allowed to become.
For readers of The Secret History, Ninth House, and The Raven Cycle, The Lost Son is a slow-burn narrative of memory, identity, and the silence between generations.
Marketing Plan
Phoenix Knight: The Lost Son (Legacy Edition) will be promoted through a multi-channel campaign spanning direct-to-consumer, influencer outreach, trade reviews, and paid advertising. The title is available for pre-order across major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, and directly through the publisher’s website (UnguraitHouse.com), where a signed limited edition is featured. A personalized NetGalley approval strategy will ensure that ARC copies are targeted toward readers interested in literary fantasy, dark academia, and emotionally layered storytelling. We also plan to apply for NetGalley newsletter placements or Category Spotlights.
The ARC has been submitted to major editorial reviewers, including Publishers Weekly (BookLife), Kirkus, Foreword, and IndieReader, with promotional assets to be updated with early praise. Simultaneously, we’re conducting an outreach campaign to over 150 curated influencers and book reviewers across Bookstagram, BookTok, and YouTube—offering exclusive content, early access, and swag kits to encourage high-quality, in-depth coverage.
A paid advertising campaign will begin in August 2025, including a regional billboard rollout across Mississippi, targeted Meta ads focused on literary fantasy audiences, and a scheduled BookBub feature. The publisher will support the launch with ongoing email marketing to a subscriber list of over 2,500 readers, behind-the-scenes content, and serialized teaser excerpts. Finally, in-person and virtual events are planned for Fall 2025, including signings, podcast appearances, and a virtual launch event. This title is a pillar of the IRONWAKE imprint and will be supported long-term as part of the publisher’s “Books Built to Endure” campaign.
