Uplifting with a few surprises

This book is well-written and a nice read with a story that is uplifting without being sentimental. The characters are well developed and the protagonist believable.

Author bio:

J.A. Zaremski was born and raised in Philadelphia. A life-long lover of soccer, he played on the nationally-ranked team of his Catholic high school before moving on to graduate with a B.A. in English from Moravian College. In May of 2000, Zaremski was conferred a J.D. and, after passing the Michigan State Bar Exam, practiced law for one month before he realized that a career in law was not for him. Saddled with thousands of dollars in student loans, he moved back to Philadelphia and worked a series of random jobs before becoming the soccer coach at a suburban-area high school. Now an author, Zaremski currently lives with the love of his life, Elizabeth, in central New Jersey, where he remains an avid soccer lover and Philadelphia sports fan.
