What a delightful treat. “Howlers in Heat” by M. Alex Hennessy is a great read and the author does a good job of keeping the reader invested in the story and the characters. We are on the edge wondering about how things will develop and takes by surprise at some twists and turns. I enjoyed reading it and it kept me entertained all the way through. Hayley and Connor have great chemistry and passion, and I loved reading about their ‘romance”. But there’s more to this book than just the sex (shocking, I know) and if there are sequels in the future I will most definitely want to read them. I appreciated that this novel was not only written well, but edited well(I notice these things) sadly many e-books these days aren’t, but this one felt polished and professional. A big plus in my book. A great combination of sex, adventure, danger, humor, and romance. Descriptive and intense. Loved it! That ending is a killer though! Adults only.

I must commend author M. Alex Hennessy for taking a very saturated genre filled with overused clichés and stereotypical stock characters and adding his own unique spin to it. The foreign country setting was a nice touch, and I liked the flavor it brings to the table. Great writing and characters, and even though it takes some time to get to the sexy parts, when it gets there – oh, my… hang on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen. I adore animals, so I enjoyed this element of them studying the howlers, and the added element of the dangerous threats they faced which gave the story a great tension to pull it forward. Liked that we felt like we are really in the story as a part of it, as opposed to it being ‘told’ to us as many rookie authors make the mistake of doing. This is more than just an erotica… it is a smart, exotic, adventurous thriller with some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve encountered since, well, ever! Fans of Sylvia Day and JR Ward will love it. Hope the next one is available soon, if there is one (don’t see any mention of it…)

wow, I LOVED this book! So hot! Connor has me swooning and Hayley is a lucky girl! “Howlers in Heat” is one of the most fun, sexy, and unexpectedly thrilling books I’ve read lately and I love that it mostly takes place in a foreign country (Costa Rica). These characters are SO STEAMY and sexy hot! When there are together their chemistry just leaps off the page and into your lap (tee-hee). So many of these erotic books are really poorly written (I blame “Fifty Shades of Grey”) it is nice to see one that isn’t. M. Alex Hennessy is a gifted writer and storyteller and I’m very interested to see where he takes these characters in the next book. Can’t just leave us hanging like that! Highly recommended for older readers and readers of erotica/romance/drama. Try it – you won’t be disappointed.

I’m one of those people who after reading “fifty shades” and the “crossfire novels” basically started inhaling everything I could find in the genre. I don’t want just ‘sex’ in my books… I want a story and some character development. I want to be caught up in the emotions and genuinely wonder about the outcome, like I did here reading “Howlers in Heat”. I think the author has great talent, even if at times I did feel he perhaps played it a bit safe at times and I would’ve liked to have explored the characters and their motivations deeper. I think bottom line is while I really enjoyed the story and will recommend it to others, there wasn’t one time where I wondered if the characters would work it out. For me that’s something I like feeling… the deep conflict that is almost impossible to overcome, although the ending shows more promise. A few minor editing things, but nothing terrible. Great dialogue, and the characters were genuine and believable. Hope the next one comes out soon, as the ending leaves us wondering what will happen next. Recommend for adults only as this is firmly in the erotica genre.

A terrific, fast, and sexxxy read! I consumed this delicious tale in the course of an evening, and when I reached the end I was hoping there was another book to follow as I cannot get enough of Hayley and Connor’s story. Their chemistry is so hot and I liked watching their relationship unfold the way it did. The exotic locals and element of danger and plot twists only added to the overall awesomeness of this sexy, erotic, and intelligent novel. It actually surprised me with its level of complexity and adventure and interweaving plotlines, as most erotica books tend to be a bit shallow in this regard. But not here – I was genuinely impressed. Recommended for mature readers only as it has quite a bit of ‘love’ scenes. Oh and being a UCI grad and former Laguna Beach resident loved the mentions :) Highly Recommend!

Wow, this book was hot, Hot, HOT!!! “Howlers in Heat” by M. Alex Hennessy is very well-written, fast paced, and so descriptive and intense…really exciting to read. I loved the unique setting, and thought the storyline with the monkeys was a nice touch… something a bit different than we’re used to in this genre. Liked that Hayley was so smart and strong, and the chemistry with her and Conner (and Ryan too) is off the charts sizzling. Lots of exciting twists to keep us totally hooked through to the end, and it ends on a cliffhanger so I hope the sequel is available soon! Recommend for mature readers only as there is lots of language and very graphic sex.
