As a queer sports fan, I absolutely loved this adorable picture book highlighting so many of the incredible queer athletes who have helped pave the way. While this book is fairly simple in nature, offering a short sentence or two about each athlete, I really enjoyed seeing such a wide array of athletes and sports. The illustrations were fun and colorful, perfect for a book about the LGBTQ+ community. The glossary of queer terms and the list of athletes divided up by sport (featuring a bit more information about them all) at the end were both nice inclusions.
Overall, I think this is a great way to introduce young kids to noteworthy queer people. I'm always a proponent of teaching children early on that there's space for them in the every facet of the world, including sports, if they identify as part of the queer community.
