Description

When the Sun is wounded, the future shatters.

In the distant future, Travis Young, an astrophysicist, investigates a hypothetical space-time window from a lunar station when something dense plunges into the Sun.

Back on Earth, the Assembly moves to smother the truth. Intelligence Officer Lucas Sato demands silence. When Travis refuses, his access vanishes, and his technician disappears into a controlled facility. He turns to Laura Rhode, his childhood confidante and a biochemist, whose stubborn faith in God unnerves him as much as he loves her. While Travis sees a distinct danger about Earth’s habitability, Sato shadows him, convinced the space-time window could open a bridge to an unseen realm—one where he may reach his deceased wife. Driven underground, Travis allies with Flood, an exile district, and St. Jude’s, a faith community that holds a fragile truce between rival powers.

Will Laura return Travis’s love? Can he and his friends outwit the Assembly before the Sun’s injury erases Earth’s future for good?

Part science thriller, part spiritual reckoning, this is the story about human nature, sin, and redemption in a world under a wounded star.

Advance Praise

I recently came across Eclipsed System, and was immediately drawn in by its fascinating blend of hard science fiction, political tension, and spiritual introspection. The premise alone, a wounded Sun threatening Earth’s future while hidden truths are suppressed by powerful forces, creates an atmosphere that feels both epic in scale and deeply personal in emotional impact.

What especially stood out to me was the way the story balances cosmic mystery with philosophical and human questions. Travis Young’s struggle between scientific reason, institutional control, and his complicated emotional connection with Laura gives the narrative a powerful emotional core beneath the high-stakes sci-fi framework. The contrast between his skepticism and Laura’s faith adds an especially compelling layer that makes the story feel intellectually and emotionally rich.

I also found the idea of the space-time window and its possible connection to another realm incredibly intriguing. Lucas Sato’s motivations, driven by grief, hope, and obsession, add a haunting psychological dimension that elevates the tension far beyond a traditional dystopian thriller. Combined with themes of redemption, human nature, sacrifice, and survival under a dying star, the novel feels both cinematic and deeply reflective.

Beautifully written (by Jordan Costner).

No amount of government lying to cover up their evil could diminish two people’s love for each other (by Peter Roush).

Lovely scenes (By Regina Rodgers).

I am enjoying the ARC of your new book. Well written. Pacing is good. (By Lynne Tagawa)

I came across Eclipsed System and the idea of the Sun being damaged while governments attempt to suppress the truth immediately stood out. While reading about the book, I kept picturing an opening sequence from the lunar station as Travis witnesses something impossible striking the Sun, followed by sudden system shutdowns, disappearing personnel, and growing panic back on Earth... The contrast between cosmic scale danger and deeply personal choices is gripping. (By Mildred Ethel)

The premise of a wounded Sun, a fractured future, and humanity struggling to understand a cosmic event that reshapes reality is both gripping and deeply thought-provoking. Travis Young’s investigation from a lunar station, the growing suppression of truth by powerful authorities, and the emotional tension between science, love, and faith create a compelling narrative with real emotional weight and urgency.

What stands out most is the way the story blends hard science fiction with spiritual and philosophical themes. The presence of a faith-centered community like St. Jude’s alongside characters wrestling with loss, truth, and unseen dimensions gives the novel a strong layer of meaning beyond its high-stakes thriller framework. Themes of trust, sacrifice, redemption, and the search for truth in a collapsing system make it especially engaging for readers who enjoy both speculative science and deeper moral reflection.
