Description
This is a romantic-suspense novel about an American Architect travelling to Abu Dhabi in the Near East during the immediate “post-9/11” world, and working to repair the glass façade of a prominent highrise building. After the World Trade Center towers in New York City were destroyed, the United States begins to track the terrorists down in Afghanistan. When America initiates its “War Against Terrorism” with military action in Afghanistan, the relations between the West and Moslem countries, and between Christian and Islamic religious groups, begin to deteriorate and become dangerously tense. Meanwhile the Architect meets an old high school classmate, and they slowly drift into an affair, even though she is a married woman. The love affair heats up even as military, religious, and terrorist tensions reach a climatic conclusion.
