  This book was dark, intense, emotional and honestly a little chaotic in the best way. Wregen is the definition of unhinged morally gray MMC energy and I could not look away from him. The tension between him and Finaan had me hooked the entire time because there’s this constant mix of danger, obsession and attraction simmering underneath everything.
  
  Rochelle’s writing style is one of my favorite things about her books. She has a way of building fantasy worlds that feel immersive without making it complicated or hard to follow. Everything flows naturally and before I knew it I was completely pulled back into this world again.

• It’s dark, messy, and not always comfortable—and that’s exactly why I loved it
• I couldn’t put this down. I was reading nonstop for two days. The characters are intense, the romance is dark, and the morally gray MMC completely stole the show. It’s not a soft story, and it won’t be for everyone, but that’s exactly what made me love it. And that cliffhanger? I’m already desperate for more.
• Do I really like depraved MMCs or is it just him?

• If you really want to know how I’m feeling about this plot wise at the moment, I’ve hit the “You can only read one more chapter then you have to go to bed” point. I’ve been hooked and now I don’t want to stop reading.
• Love the tension, anger, and heat between Finaan and Wregen.
• You made me want to cry for them .... I’m not normally an emotional person outwardly; so, when literature pulls that out of me, it means I’ve really connected to it.
• The character growth from the first chapter to now is amazing. A long, slow change and burn.
• I’m pretty sure Wregen has wiped all the other fucked up MMCs I love from my brain today.
• What can I say, I loved it. I loved it so much. 
• The world building, as always, was wonderful, rich in detail, and built in a way that made everything feel real. 
• Wregen was spectacular. You created a complex, dark character who was difficult to understand. ... And his character growth, my gosh, was perfect. ... Perfect. That was my favorite part. 
• I loved everything. Everything. And that ending. How am I supposed to wait now? But at the same time, I can’t wait to find out how it will all end for everyone.
• I really enjoyed how dark and gritty this was. You didn’t hold back when it came to writing—especially with Wregen. He is truly a morally black character, but I think that will appeal to a lot of readers!
• I loved the growth Wregen went through in this book. It didn’t feel forced or fake. I was not a fan of him when the book started, but by the end I was rooting for him to make the changes he needed to.
• The chemistry between Wregen and Finaan was fabulous—even if it was a little fucked up sometimes! XD It was just the right amount of hot and also a little disturbing!
