Throughout the story, they must deal with “Stalkers” (fanatics intent upon killing drug addicts, the mentally ill, and other misfits), doomsday cultists, and (indirectly) nefarious “big ticket” players in North America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Ultimately, the execution of their plan surpasses even their wildest expectations – and dramatically changes the global political landscape.

“The Corrective is really all about addiction,” Ferentzy reveals, “but the trick is that whether someone is addicted to dope, a former lover, or to war and age-old hatreds, the challenge for every actor is to get over it.”

“Every player in The Corrective, drug addicted or not, must struggle in a similar fashion against being stuck,” he continues. “And addicts can accomplish much more than our ruling authorities would have you believe. Recovery does not necessarily require complete abstinence.”

As wild and phantasmagoric as it is terrifyingly timely, The Corrective is a not-to-be-missed novel from one of today’s most refreshing and controversial academics – and sure to find a cult following upon its May 2016 release.
