About the Author:

Gabriel Stonehouse was born and raised in London’s Kensington district. He and his family moved to Canada when he was in his pre-teens. He developed a passion for American style football which he played through high school and college. He accepted a position with a large New York-based multinational corporation, quickly earned his way into middle management and married his college sweetheart. The two of them had three children in five years. He developed a reputation for turning around under-performing business units and became the speechwriter of choice for several of the company’s top executives. He rose to senior ranks, wrote his own speeches and became a popular public speaker. He accepted various international assignments and eventually agreed to settle down in upstate New York. He retired in his late forties but continued to serve as a director on a number of corporate boards and remained a guest lecturer at a prominent business school. Today, he and his wife live a simpler life in a waterfront community in Ontario. He teaches his grandchildren to sail aboard his beloved 12-meter sloop. He devotes considerable time to volunteer work and, more recently, has begun to write novels.
