While High Side is in development as a blockbuster film at Paramount Pictures, writer and filmmaker Jaime Oliveira is currently working on his debut novel Isla Vista Blues, inspired by his experiences attending the notorious beachside party school, University of California, Santa Barbara. Raised on a farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley, Jaime Oliveira supported his dream to become a professional writer by teaching high school in South Central Los Angeles.
