Love can really be a thing of beauty when you have someone by your side that really gets you and shares your same convictions. I wish I'd realized how important it was for me to stand by my convictions before I ended up in a relationship that ended up being anything but spiritual and changed the entire course of my life.


My story begins when I came face to face with a mysterious, intriguing man that forced me to make a choice to keep my tunnel vision when it came to men I would consider dating or slide over to the world of compromise because I knew this guy wasn’t the type of guy I’d worn my knees out praying for God to bless me with even though he tried hard to convince me that he was. Despite the still small voice that was screaming in my spirit telling me to proceed with caution, he was very charming and knew exactly what to do to sweep me off my feet. Because this man proclaimed to be a changed man that wanted to live for God, I convinced myself that he was the real deal even though I was constantly seeing things about him that made me uncomfortable. We had a whirlwind courtship that lead to a whirlwind wedding as I continued to suppress the still small voice in my spirit until I couldn't hear it anymore. I didn’t realize how much my decision to compromise would cost me or how long I’d have to pay. It turned out that my wedding day was the precursor to a Christian union that became increasingly more destructive and toxic, leading to devastating consequences. You will laugh, cry and be on the edge of your seat as you follow the dips, twist and turns of this powerful, gut-wrenching story to its explosive conclusion.
