Be prepared to read it to the end in one sitting! June 30, 2016
Absolutely a five star cast and storyline! I don't read a lot of fiction, but I was intrigued with the first paragraph and put everything else on hold until I finished the book! My husband even read it through in one sitting! (Lisa Worthey Smith, author of Oscar the Extraordinary Hummingbird)

Great read! June 30, 2016
This is a book you won't want to put down. Not only is it a great read in terms of suspense and drama, it also offers a theme of hope amidst some of today's most troubling issues....terrorism, PTSD, and trafficking. The author has hit the balance of dealing with heavy and difficult issues in a personal way that the reader can connect with through his development of courageous, yet transparent characters....
“I just finished it and I could not put it down…. an amazing story…. fast paced and suspenseful. I love the wisdom and the Christian message that you wove into the pages. I can't wait for No Pit So Deep, Part II” — Gianluca Scattoni, Astoria, NY
5-Stars! Review by Rabia Tanveer for Readers Favorite, LLC – No Pit So Deep – The Cody Musket Story
This is one of the best written novels I have read this year so far, and let me tell you, I have already read about 20 novels. The story was crisp, on point, tantalizing and very, very entertaining. There is nothing that I would want the author to change. I really love novels that are meticulously prepared for an audience. From the cover, to the placement of the characters, to the plot, to the ending, everything was simply perfect
5-Stars Review by Maria Beltran
No Pit So Deep, Part I by James Nathaniel Miller II is a riveting cliff hanger! An Afghan war veteran, Cody Musket, was a 23-year-old US Marine 2nd Lieutenant when his plane crashed in the Taliban controlled part of Afghanistan. What follows is a harrowing experience, memories of which will give him nightmares for the rest of his life.
Back in the US, he distinguishes himself as a rookie third baseman by leading the American League in home runs in Houston. Then he meets Brandi Barnes, a young writer from Pittsburgh. Brandi has exposed a powerful international organization of child traffickers and her life is in danger. Together they fight their demons, but can they conquer the dark forces that they are up against?
Marketing Plan
James Miller's childhood dream was to be a Naval aviator. After a visit to the Naval Recruiting Office during his junior year in high school, he was hyped. But soon thereafter, he says, "I received a clear call to the ministry, and I never looked back. Never regretted it either."
Through the years, he was involved in counseling others, and he founded several businesses which supported outreaches all over the world, He also did some writing. During that time, he gathered stories of courageous veterans who struggled to acclimate upon returning to the US.
After he finally retired, in the midst of the quiet life, the Cody Musket Story dropped into his head. Inspired by real events and people, he wrote a fiction story that focused on solid truth. Thus the series, No Pit So Deep/The Cody Musket Story was born.
He has done some blogging and speaking, and yes, he is also a pilot.
"I live in Waco, Texas with the sexiest woman on the planet, to whom I have been married forty-seven years," he concludes. "Everything that is part of me went into the writing of The Cody Musket Story. It might even turn out to be the most significant thing I have ever done."
