Sourcebooks reserves the right to accept or decline requests on a case by case basis.
If the requester is a blogger/online reviewer, a link to their blog/site should be listed in their profile
--Blog/Website should be updated regularly
--Blog/Website content must be relevant to book requested (i.e. a YA blog requesting an adult title or a paranormal focused blog requesting a historical is less likely to be approved)
--Requester must share their email address for following-up purposes
--Requester should include as much statistical information as they can about their blog/site
--how many unique visitors your blog gets each month
--how many comments you get on your blog posts each month
--how many Twitter/Facebook followers you have
--how many reviews you post each week
--Requesters should have easy access to readers.
Booksellers, librarians, educators and media professionals are almost always approved, so long as their bio/description is relevant to the subject matter of the book.
Requesters should have additional means of spreading the word about books.
(Reviews only on sites like LibraryThing and GoodReads are not quite enough)
If your request is approved, please do the following:
Wait to post/publish your review until a month prior to publication month, and aim to have your review posted by the end of the publication month
--We prefer that you notify us of your review via NetGalley.
--When you send us your review in NetGalley, you must: include the name of the publication/blog/outlet where your review will be published/posted, a link (for blog/online reviews), and the run date for when the review will be posted/published.
--If you do not post a review, you must tell us why via NetGalley.
Please note that our galleys will archive at the end of the publication month assigned to the title.
