This book had the potential to be great, it for me it didn't get there.
I wanted a book showing or at least talking about all the woman that managed to work their way to the top despite what our society tries to do to stop them in their tracks simply because they are Women. Or if not that's I would have at least liked some tips on how to be a more successful female, how to work around social issues that women suffer through and how those could be changed.
Nothing like that is in the book.
To me it felt almost more like a rant about how it would all be better if genders in generally wouldn't exist. Which I can agree with to a point, but that clearly isn't helpful or useful at all. Because gender and their society ordered roles do exist and we have to fight to break through all those barriers,

This book had some good points and epsaid a lot of true things. But it isn't what the subtile promise and while it's not a bad read, it's also not what I wanted out of it,

Very inspiring and empowering, with a profound, transformative and beautiful message.
When cultural norms do not seem to be the right ones to flourish and be yourself, the only way is to make one, to make that daring decision to take your life, your happiness, your truth into your own hands and be passionate and brave enough to walk it .
It is the path to your true self that manifests in your steps, from which no one can give you the map or the instructions, because the map and the compass Are Yourself.
This is the path of personal rediscovery and assertive decisions that LiYana Silver was spinning in Femenine Genius.
The author offers a handy guide designed to give you what you need. First she takes you by the hand to understand and have the clarity of where the dilemma began and how your personal power weakened. Secondly, she reminds you that it takes a personal job to recognize all that you have given permission to manifest in your life sabotaging it, but that in reality is a necessary part of the path to your empowerment. And thirdly you must integrate your wisdom, dwelling your own skin and connecting deeply with your body. Finally it is necessary to cultivate your light through your divine guidance, to remember the reason to come to the world and contribute:
“This path asks of you to take on counterintutive practices so that you can thrive, but also to re-create a world that works for men and women alike”.
My gratitude to the Publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review the book

A must read empowering book that speaks to every woman! This is full of insight, empowering exercises and women's wisdom. The author has given every woman a gift with this guide to knowing ourselves and our untapped power, exercising our internal power and sharing wisdom. She speaks to the very core of a woman. Very insightful, a must read . If you are a feminist (all women must be!) , a advocate for women's rights or just a women seeking information to grow as a person, this is a must read book. It is a book to reference and refer to as part of our personal empowerment. Excellent reading ! This is now part of my daily self help empowerment training.

A lovely books that makes you feel good to be a women, very empowering. I thought the beginning was a little poetic and flowery but as I got further into the book I enjoyed it immensely. Some of the exercises were excellent especially the instructions for consulting your ORACLE. It reminds me of the David R. Hawkins exercises.. I didn't like all the details of abuse and violence against women as these things are hard to get out of my head, however I know that the author had to get a true balanced picture across. Overall an excellent book that will make you feel powerful and proud to be a women. Thank you

I was hoping this book would give insight as to how I might be able to embrace those awesome feminine characteristics I, you, and we as women have. Those things that are inherent and divinely appointed.

Instead I got a message indicating that we are all born good, life corrupts us, and if we are lucky we will come to see that we are actually gender fluid.

What a load of bullarky.

Women are women. You can't change get your chromosomes. Men are men, They can't change their either. And while I'm not going to get into an argument about gender mumbo-jumbo that is so prominent today, As a woman who likes that I am a woman, I'm not looking for yet another ploy which wants me to stand up, bang on my chest, and declare that 'I am woman, hear me roar!'

What about being tender? Soft? Feminine? Demure? Remember your grandmothers who made you know that being a girl was special stuff? I was hoping to recapture that feeling. Because it's vanishing in today's world.

So this book, unfortunately was not for me.

I didn't realise how much I needed this book until I read it. It's though-provoking, motivating and extremely inspirational. I can't wait to start putting into action what I learned from LiYana Silver.
