Thank you for these Buzz Book peeks into what is ahead in books. Really like receiving these and going through the excerpts!! |
American War: Probably not something I would pick up on my own, but glad to read an excerpt. The Radium Girls: The was super interesting and I went on the read the entire novel. This was an issue I was never aware of before and a tragedy I'm glad I know about now. Very well written. This is Really Happening: It's real. I didn't quite see the comedy side that it mentioned in the intro but maybe the rest of the book has that. The Legend of Skyco Spirit Quest: I feel we need more books on this subject so was glad to see this in here and want to look into picking this one up. The End of Our Story: Ok, I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by it's cover - but the cover of this one to start off with was gorgeous. A story of love tainted by grief. Definitions of Indefinable Things: I wish there was more to the excerpt, all I know is that there's two people picking up prescriptions for depression. |
Wow! I read this in one sitting because I could not put it down! Rose Gold has been abused for the first eighteen years of her life, poisoned by her mother and told she has a chromosomal defect. When the truth comes out, her mother is sent to prison. Rose Gold forgives her mother and offers her a place to stay when she's released. And then things get really weird. Full of twists and interesting characters, this book is a fantastic read! |
Fantastic as always! Sorry I forgot to rate this earlier, but I am still working off the list and enjoying may of the titles!. Keep them coming! Thanks! |
I have just realised that I have a number of Buzz publications that I haven't reviewed. They are holding back my Feedback Ratio, so I thought I should 'review' them. I used to enjoy these regular updates on new authors and publications but I guess times have moved on and we now have the e mail version. Miss you Buzz Monthly, RIP. |

I downloaded this to get a taste of what was upcoming for April releases in 2017. These excerpts were helpful to know which of the new releases I wanted to read. |
I always look forward to and enjoy reading the Buzz Books Monthly about upcoming releases! I usually find myself adding many of the featured books to my "to read" list on GoodReads. This jam packed edition did NOT disappoint! What It Means When A Man Falls From the Sky, Beartown, and Option B are just a few of the titles I'm looking forward to reading. |
I cannot praise Publishers Lunch enough for compiling this excellent free resource. I look out for it each month and seasonally too as I know I will discover something I want to place in my TBR pile for sure. I always get excited when they are released at the beginning of each month as I can't wait to find out what excerpts are in there and what I am going to love! For as long as it's created I will be downloading it - you have a loyal fan here! |
Always a great read. Looking forward to reading more than just a preview for some of these. |
I should not have requested this BUZZ BOOKS. There were only one or two excerpts that I was remotely interested in. |
Looking forward to reading the books included. Loved the extracts |
Always helpful to get these previews! Found some good books on this list! |
This is a great collection of excerpts of upcoming books for the month of April 2017. It contains an introduction followed by a section with a list of anticipated debut fiction, commercial fiction, and nonfiction titles. Then it has a section of "Week by Week" title releases and at the end some book excerpts that were originally published in Buzz Books 2017: Spring/Summer and Buzz Books 2017: Young Adult Spring/Summer. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for RADIUM GIRLS by Kate Moore. I also liked the EXTRA ATTENTION section which featured several authors including Doree Shafrir and her debut novel STARTUP. Overall, a great list of buzzing titles for the month of April 2017. |
Excellent resource. I look forward to this summary of the amazing books coming out, every six months. |
As always, this sampler offers a great selection of seven books to be released this April. For me the short monthly version is more convenient and useful. Will keep requesting those. |
These collections are great, as usual. I cannot wait to see what books they include each month to spotlight. |
I love the Buzz Books and it's fabulous to be able to enjoy them now every month. They always offer excellent suggestions of future releases for my bookclub and give a good idea for what to read next. |
