I did enjoy it, but it wasn't very memorable. Hannah and Deacon have been friends for years. Hannah has always been in love with Deacon. I was very interested in how the story progressed.

I wasn't a fan of the writing style. I didn't like that the beginning of a chapter took place days after the ending of the previous chapter.

There were times I wished Hannah tried to move on and times I wish Deacon fought more for Hannah.

This is the story of Hannah Fisher who after ten years of friendship with Deacon Latrell, she wants more. Returning from Paris early she is on Deacons doorstop and accepting a job to be his sons nanny while they are on tour with the band Blue. Hannah used to be a shy type and had a stutter but Deacon was always there for her fighting her battles for her.
Coming back from her travels, she has gained more confidence and decides it is her mission to seduce Deacon. But Deacon seems to want to keep her in the friend zone, but also he is very attracted to her, she is not the same shy stutter girl he knew ten years ago.

We see their journey off love and family and how they come from friends to lovers.

This was a great read and can’t wait to read the next instalment in the Country Blues series by Rachel Harris

If you are looking for a pretty awesome read about best friends becoming more, this is the book. I absolutely loved the epilogue of this book. Two kids that had no friends and just with a simple Hello, made everything better for both of them. I love seeing two people that have loved each other for so long, denying it, finally decide to step up and find out if they will have a future. I'm going to start with Hannah, because I absolutely love her during this whole book. She was that girl. The girl that was awkward, made fun of, and didn't have anyone in school. She sees the new boy sitting on the porch at his house and all she had to do was walk over and say hi. How hard is that, well very hard when you think everyone hates you, but she did it. She made the first step and they have been friends ever since.She leaves for Paris for awhile and devises a plan, a plan to win Deacon. So when the opportunity comes up for for her to be the nanny for his son and a little girl on his tour she is all in. Deacon, he was so troubled when he was a kid, but he found Hannah. finding Hannah was his saving grace. So when she went to Paris, he thought he lost her, but when she landed on his doorstep, and he had a job to offer her, and she said yes, well it was a dream come true.

They are going to fight their attraction. Deacon is thinking he is not good enough for her. Hannah will think she is not enough for him. They will struggle for that neutral ground. They both are going to make mistakes. They are going to feel things stronger than they ever did, when their feelings truly come out. Hoping they can find that middle ground will keep you reading, because these characters are so good together, that they don't even realize it. Now will it be in time for them to make something happen, or are they going to stay friends forever.

I know I spent a lot of time talking about the main characters, but the secondary characters were just as fun. And we can't forget about Max, Deacon's son. He is just awesome. I loved how he talked in this book and how interacted with Hannah. He was a breath of fresh air. All the group, all perfect. The interaction with them was serious at times, but there were those fun spots that made you see how a family bond was forming. I love when a book can do that.

My favorite seen is the bedroom scene at the beginning. Deacon's whole demeanor, pretty funny. I loved it. Hannah's parents are exceptional too. They showed love to a little boy that didn't have anything and brought him into a home of love. You can never replace that. The author did a great job in this book and I can't wait to read another from her.

I really enjoy a good friends to lovers story so I knew right away I was going to love this one. One of my favorite parts is the backstory on how Deacon and Hannah became friends. I wish I could be more like Hannah and have the guts to go after what I what like she did. A lot of times we always think of the what ifs and that's what Hannah doesn't want to do have no regrets. The interaction between Hannah, Deacon, and Max is so adorable. It just melts my heart. The connection and the feelings these two have for one another is truly beautiful. I highly recommend reading this one because I could hardly put it down that I got so engrossed into the story.

Hannah Fisher and Deacon Latrell have been friends for ten years. Really from the day she got the courage to walk across the street to talk to the boy in the neighborhood who was shooting baskets. From the moment she hi. He would help her through high school but would allow another girl to come between them and after she had a baby she left him and the baby, but Hannah has been there for both of them since day one. Deciding to go to Paris for six months she is now back and has taken a job as a nanny for the band that Deacon has joined. Her other plan is to get Deacon to notice her as well, but if that doesn’t work out at least she knows that she tired and she will be able to move on with her life. The wives’ and girlfriends of the band like her and think that they should be a couple. During the tour things begin to heat up and Deacon begins to allow old ideas that he has about himself to creep back into his mind and because of that he fires Hannah without talking it over with the band and more importantly with Hannah. When he thinks he can talk to her she is already gone and he realizes that he has screwed up royally. There is only one way to fix this but he does not even know if she will be in their home town when the tour gets there. Find out what happens in this very good story.

The Nanny Arrangement was one of my random picks from Netgalley. Though it was a bit slow to start for me, it was a good story. I had to finish and find out how Deacon & Hannah found their HEA. Deacon has overcome a childhood most wouldn't with parents that weren't there physically and mentally. When the girl next door said hello his world changed and her family showed him what it was to love and be loved. He just couldn't let go of his past hurts and realize he deserved the love he received. Hannah was always the "plain girl next door" in her eyes because of the way kids tortured her through to the end of high school. I love that she was determined to find her happy. They are two souls that knew hurt and helped the other find their happy, and learn confidence in themselves through the other's strength.

Not for me. The premise was intriguing, but the writing didn't work for me, especially the voice of the child. Super grating.

I don't know how it is possible that I forgot just how much I LOVE Rachel Harris and her stories. And while we do get the band and their SOs, all of whom appeared in the previous stories (Your're Still the One and Accidentally Married on Purpose), this story really concentrates on Hannah and Deacon. They have such a deep and emotional connection, and a history that goes back to their childhood - a time when they helped save each other. It's given them a bond that has lasted through a lot of ups and downs, so it is easy to see why romantic feelings could be a complication.

I love Hannah and I admire how much she's willing to put herself out there to try to convince Deacon to see her as more than a friend. Having a stutter as a child meant that she spent a lot of her formative teenage years as a bit of an outsider, so she doesn't have a lot of experience being flirty or seductive. Besides the potential embarrassment there is also the chance that any moves on her part could affect her relationship with Deacon so it takes a lot to take that chance.

Deacon had an terrible home-life, with a mother who pretty much checked out on him. The day Hannah brought him home to meet her family is the day everything changed. He had people who loved him and cared for him and made sure to teach him how to be a good person. Unfortunately he still has doubts about his worth and doesn't want to take any chance that he could lose that, especially if it means he might not have Hannah in his life any more. Unfortunately for him, Hannah's got a plan :)

My heart just turns over for these two. It's scary taking the chance on something more when you could lose so very much. But if they do take the chance and it lasts, their lives can only get better. Harris does a fantastic job of making readers understand their connection and why they mean so much to each other, how hard it is to explore a romantic relationship and how hard it is not to, and delivers a realist look at what happens when proximity (and Sherri) heats things up. Gotta love that girl!

Emotionally laden, The Nanny Arrangement showcases Harris talent for delivering genuine characters and captivating plots that draw you in and keep you coming back for more.

(Since this does focus a lot on the two main characters, it can stand on its own.)

Hannah's been in love with Deacon for half her life. After time away in Paris, she returns with a plan to make her best friend see her as more than just the girl next door.
Deacon comes from a rough upbringing, Hannah's life has been full of love. Despite a stutter and homemade ultra-conservative clothes, Hannah's optimism and positive nature is just the light Deacon needs in his life to grow and flourish into the young man he's meant to be. Their relationship was not without its faults, as many tend to be. Each made mistakes, Deke moreso. Each time, those mistakes ARE addressed and resolved in a mature and timely manner. Their chemistry was gradual. Sexual content is more "behind closed doors" than detailed. Secondary characters were supportive. If you are new to the series (Which I Was), you will be able to read this story without feeling left behind. Though there is some mention of other bandmates' history, this book can and does stand well on its own. The plot is endearing and dynamic. The story and style are well-written. There were a few hints of predictability, but nothing to detract from the overall experience.
It's hard to believe that this is the first time I've picked up a book by Rachel Harris. I'm glad I did, this was a thoroughly enjoyable story. The conclusion is satisfying for the lead couple, providing them a solid HEA.

Sweet but a little spicy, best friends-to-lovers romance mixed with a single dad musician and nanny themes, this story is well written and perfect if you like a quick simple romance with a decent backstory and great secondary characters.

I love a good friends-to-lovers story and this one did not disappoint. Rachel has a knack for writing funny, feel-good stories with characters who always leave me with a smile on my face. I enjoyed watching Hannah and Deacon try to reconcile the kids they used to be with the adults they have become, and all the feelings that came along with it.

If you like your romances with a side of humor, a dose of heart, and extra helping of swoon, THE NANNY ARRANGEMENT is the book for you!

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Mine is: I cannot say “no” to music novels. I’m getting better. I’m actually disregarding the impressive blurbs and looking at Goodreads ratings of trustworthy reviewers, and limiting myself to novels that are more than 3 stars but see that’s not foolproof.

On paper, The Nanny Arrangement looks like just my kind of book. I love the boy-next-door romances and you make that boy a musician and I’m sold. On Goodreads the ratings are mostly 4 and 5 stars across the board.

Unfortunately that makes this one of my your-mileage-may-vary reviews. I feel either like a curmudgeon or Goldilocks (could it have been that Goldilocks was a short curmudgeon?).

I found The Nanny Arrangement to be a little unbelieveable (for a bullied person, Hannah’s character is way too trusting of strangers) and saccharine for my tastes. While I don’t mind a dose of saccharine, I need it balanced by action and not the inner turmoil of a couple who just push and pull in a relationship.

The writing was average and in some instances wordy or imprecise, which forced me to reread sentences.

However, I know that there are a bunch of you readers out there who will adore this book. You will probably love this book if you like very, very sweet romances filled with lots of characters and kids and “silly songs about inanimate things” (the author’s wording, not mine).

I have read this author before with knowing I will get a awesome romance if I enter in one of her novels. This one was enticing so I jumped right in. I read the first one, so this one was why all the hurry. This one centers around Hannah and Deacon. As I read this the first thing I notice is that it tickles my heart often. Two stubborn people but each have their own agenda with chemistry sparking it on. Another reason it is a tickles the heart is the building of the relationship you get to see as the story unfolds. She knows how to captivate you with the characters so much so you have to see how the road will take them. I do not read too many friend to something else novels unless it can entice me as this one did. When I reach the ending I am glad I did not pass it up.

Rachel Harris never fails to deliver. Friends-to-lovers trope is one of my all time favorites and Harris does it with her rock-n-country flair.

I've really enjoyed how each book in this series continues the story while focusing on a different couple and coming at the story from a different angle. Each story builds upon the last and it was fun going on the road with the band.

Hannah and Deacon have been friends since childhood. Hannah has always been there for Deacon... up until the one time she wasn't.

Hannah couldn't imagine living her life watching Deacon with his new son, Max and his new family. She left town to avoid it, but she comes home to find Deacon's girlfriend is out of the picture and there is now an offer of a job, becoming the tour nanny for Max and the other children on the tour.

Touring throws Hannah and Deacon together with very little room for escape. Too bad Deacon wants Hannah to continue being his best friend, despite all of the feelings and impure thoughts he's been having about her.

Rachel Harris writes the sweetest love stories and she always gives the reader a swoony good time. Her characters are varied and layered and just so imperfectly perfect.

This second book in the Blue series can definitely be read as a standalone. I became a Blue fan during Accidentally Married on Purpose and each book has increased my fan status a little more.

Hannah was an awkward, bullied, 15 year old when she met Deacon, the bad-boy new kid who moved in across the street from her. These two found in each what they never got from anyone else, true friendship. Now ten years later, Hannah has gotten over her speech impediment and is ready to stop living on the sidelines of her own life. It only took a trip to Paris to realize that she wasn't living life as fully as she could. Deacon lives for his son and now that he has been temporarily signed to be the fiddle and keyboard player for Blue, he wants to secure a future for him and his son by making the gig permanent. Deacon has always been able to count on Hannah but when she returned home from Paris, there's something about their friendship that has changed. Are the feelings he's having worth having the only family he's truly ever had enough to risk having yet another person walk away?

I loved Hannah and Deacon. They are supportive of each other but are also willing to call each other out when they do something stupid. So many of their issues could have been completely avoided if only they would communicate better but then there really wouldn't have been much of a story!! My only complaint is that I wished there was more of Hannah and Deacon together in this story. I can't wait to read the rest of the stories about this band!!

The ultimate friends to lovers romance! Such a sweet story! Lots of angst, some sweet friendship and surprise chemistry between them makes for a fun story. A quick and easy read. There wasn't a lot to do with the actual band performing, etc. but it was a whirlwind of a book regardless!

Reformed bad boy Deacon Latrell is living the good life! He's recently joined an up and coming country band as their fiddle player, he has an adorable son who is the light of his life, and his best friend is finally back in town and has agreed to go on tour with him to be the nanny for his son!

Hannah Fisher has always been quiet and shy, but when she became best friends with Deke 10 years ago, he took her under his wing and brought her out of her shell. She has always been in love with him, but he only considered her his best bud. As a single dad, he has needed a lot of help and she's always been there for him ... until she finally needed a break to go do her own thing for a year. When she decided to come back and go on tour with him, she decided to embark on "Operation Find My Happy" .... either it will include the potential of more of a life with Deke, or she'll move forward and broaden her career like she always thought she would. Close quarters and sweet life moments together make Deacon start to look at her in another way. Will he be able to open his eyes and see what's right in front of him ... before it's too late?

What a great book, that I could not put down. This is a friend's to lovers story and it was perfect. I loved watching Deacon and Hannah's Story play out. This is my second book by Rachel Harris and she is an amazing storyteller. I highly recommend this book it is perfect to escape a bad day. The Nanny Arrangement is an excellent example of one of my favorite troupes--friends-to-lovers. Hannah and Deacon are absolutely adorable together, whether it's their very first interaction or their one thousandth. When you add in Deacon's two-year-old son Max, it's pretty much sweetness overload.

The two main reasons the two of them haven't gotten together yet are 1) Hannah's certainty that Deacon is beyond her reach (kind of annoying, since they started in pretty much the same place) and 2) Deacon's certainty that he can't have nice things because in the end everyone lets him down (also kind of annoying, because in ten years Hannah and her family have been there for him, even though his family and ex haven't been). And yes, some actual, adult conversation between the two of them probably would have cleared everything up--and yet, this book ended up working for me anyway, even though those factors are usually deal breakers. I'm going to give credit to Ms. Harris's writing and such likable characters that I'm willing to overlook their flaws.

The Nanny Arrangement is the second book in the series (third, if you want to count Tyler and Sherry's book, Accidentally Married on Purpose , which is actually part of a previous series but clearly connected, as Tyler's the lead singer of the band) but could be read as a standalone. Certain aspects of the story--things happen for both of the H/hs from the other books here--will have more meaning if you've read the other stories, but it's not necessary if you haven't yet.

Every so often, I just want a truly feel good type of story. I want some fluff, I want something light and I want to know exactly what is going to happen. It really does feel nice to read something knowing the odds of someone being murdered are slim to none!

Enter, The Nanny Arrangement by Rachel Harris, a romance novel that is the second in the Country Blues series. Although the second in the series, this one reads like a Karen Clarke or Nora Roberts series where the characters intertwine in each other’s lives but there are no story arcs that continue on. You absolutely can read this as a standalone.

This particular novel follows soft spoken and shy Hannah who has been carrying a torch for her childhood friend, Deacon. Deacon, the fiddle player of an up and coming country band, asks Hannah to come on tour with them to be his son’s nanny. Hannah thinks this is the perfect opportunity for “Operation Find My Happy” and vows to win Deacon’s heart. With one friend afraid of rocking the boat and the other pushing boundaries only one thing is for sure, Taylor Swift would write a killer song about this situation!

I found Hannah to be incredibly relatable and I loved her relationship with Deacon. Were parts of this novel corny? Of course they were! But there were also parts that made me smile from ear to ear. I think my favourite part of this book was how “simple” it was. I don’t mean simple in the actual writing, for Rachel Harris can weave a mean romance, but it was just a sweet, satisfying story. There was no giant twist or stomach-jerking cliffhanger; just a feel good read about love and taking chances.

I enjoyed this one and for sure will be going back to read the first novel in this series (and will be looking forward to the next one!!).

The more I read from Rachel Harris, the more I love. After I write this I'll be stalking her on Facebook and whatever other social media she has LOL

This story brings us back to the country band Blue that we've met in previous books. But don't worry, you can easily read this without having read anything from before. This time we're focusing on Deacon Latrell, the newest addition to the band. He's brought his best friend Hannah on tour to play nanny to his son Max and cute little Lizzie, a bandmate's daughter. Hannah has been in love with Deacon forever and has decided to put herself out there and see if Deke returns her feelings. What we get is funny and heart warming and made me cry in several places. It was perfect :)
