My thoughts:

I'm a sucker for the best friends to lovers story. The love between Deacon and Hannah is obvious from the very beginning of the book, but Deacon doesn't notice Hannah in that way. Or does he? I loved Deacon's slow realization that he feels more than just platonic love for Hannah.

I loved the connection between Deacon and Hannah. Their friendship that had evolved through their teenage years to their mid-twenties.

The secondary characters, including Deacon's sweet son Max, are an important part of the story. Deacon is worried about being a good father to Max and a good member of his new band. He knows that Hannah is necessary to both working out. His son is in love with her and his band mates and their wives instantly bring her into the group. Deacon is afraid that if he crosses a line with Hannah, that is getting harder and harder not to cross, then everything in his world could go to hell.

The Nanny Arrangement is the perfect book to read while sitting out by the pool.

Sugar sweet and cute are the keywords in The Nanny Arrangement. If you like books with girlie-crushes-on-the-bad-boy-next-door you are in for a treat! Rachel Harris' second book in the Country Blues series takes you to Hannah Fisher and her neighbour bad boy Deke - Deacon - Latrell.

Hannah is a shy girl, being bullied in her school years for stuttering, having red hair and wear-me-down clothes. Deke was the famous bad boy, being the Knight in Shining Armor for Hannah, by beating the bullies into pulp. So, an unlikely friendship grew. But, whereas Hannah developed a "Lois-is-swooning-over-Superman-crush", Deke seemed to consider her only as his best friend and sister. Even when Deke's girlfriend takes off, after leaving him their son and Hannah steps in to help him out, he still doesn't treat her as anything else than his BFF.

So Hannah takes of to Paris, to rethink her life. She comes up with Operation Find My Happy and she is determined to persuade Deke to see her not only as a good friend, but as HIS girlfriend. And what better way to convince him while being stuck together on the tourbus? But Hannah didn't take into account the other team members and their very nosy girlfriends, who are also travelling on the bus. Can she (and her girl posse) convince Deacon that he is worthy of her love? Or will they crash and burn?

A great read. You can easily read this book, without reading the first part of this series. Four out of five stars from me. With a special thanks to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for providing the ARC.

LOVED it!! This is an absolutely fantastic friends to lovers story that had my emotions all over the place. Deacon Latrell and Hannah Fisher have been friends since childhood. Two misfits that worked perfectly together. Deacon had a tough family life and was considered a bad boy. Hannah had a loving family but was shy and held back because of a stutter. Now all grown up these two have remained close but not as close as Hannah would like them to be. Will Deacon ever see her as more than the shy girl next door?? Now he has the opportunity to go on tour and he wants Hannah to go along as a nanny for his son. Could this be Hannah's chance to show Deacon how good they can be together?

A fantastic read that I highly recommend to everyone.

I fell in love with Deacon and Hannah from the very beginning! How could you not?! Ms Harris's writing made it so easy to see them and understand them from the beginning! Hannah and Deacon are so good for each other! I just swooned through the whole book!! Literally, really, I did!! I didn't want it to end!

Hannah grew up with a stutter and walmart clothes! She was bullied. Deacon had a dad who left and a mom who was always drunk and never there for Deacon. Hannah saw him playing with his basketball when he moved in 10 years ago. He looked sad and troubled. Hannah didn't know why but she just had to be his friend! And just like that they were best friends. But, they were really always more to each other! Deacon needed to always have the family that Hannah and her family offered Deacon! Hannah was too chicken to tell Deacon he meant more to her.

Deacon was the basketball player and every girl wanted him! When Hannah's supposed friend told Hannah that he wouldn't want her and kind of pushed her aside and jumped at Deacon. Max was born! But the egg donor didn't want to be a mom and ran away the day he was born and so Deacon and Hannah raised him. But Hannah ran away too!

She wanted more but didn't think Deacon saw her any other way then as his best friend. When she came back. Hannah decided she was going to get him to see her as his equal and more! That was her mission. So lucky that when Deacon got to go on tour with a band they needed a nanny and Hannah jumped in!

So starts her mission to get Deacon to see her in a different light. I laughed, sighed and even shed a few tears in her attempts and some spontaneous moments! Oh how I wanted Deacon to stop being "Superman" and just let go and allow someone to love him back and take a risk. There really is another word that I want to use but it would be a spoiler. Because, as time passed, I understood their feelings more and more. I got what misguided Deacon's mind was saying. And that is probably due to the writing, which mad me so fall in love with all of the characters.

You know that point where they decide to let go and go for a chance at love only to have something that gets in the way and they part? Well when this happened, I had to put the book down and walk away. Because it hurt as if it was me being hurt! After a couple hours, I picked it back up and finished the book!

I also loved seeing Tyler and Sherry again. They were the couple in her book "Accidentally Married on Purpose".

Ugh! I have so many other books to read but I am going to go back and read this one again first! I love stories with little kids and families, second chances, bands, tour busses, slobbery kisses, nannies, overcoming obstacles in life, swooning, and falling deeply in love!

Great addition to the Country Blues series! I adore Deacon & Hannah and the rest of the Blue 'family'. The ending made me tear up, it was so sweet.

I'm already highly anticipating the 3rd book in the series!

The Nanny Arrangement is a sweet, fun and flirty romance about unrequited love and second chances. Throw in a precocious two year old toddler and two matchmaking friends, and this story is beyond adorable.

I loved both Deacon and Hannah. Hannah because she is so incredibly sweet, giving and kind, but also because she is brave. She recognised what she wanted out of her life, and what she wanted was Deacon. She made a plan to go after her dreams despite her fears and the fact that everything could blow up in her face. It takes guts when you've been bullied your whole life and when you're shy to be able to do what Hannah did and I applaud her for it.

As for Deacon, poor misguided Deacon. He carried so much guilt around and so much fear of not ever being good enough or worthy of love. But on top of that, he's a great guy, who defended Hannah from bullies right through high school and was her personal "Superman". He's also hardworking and an overachiever, so fearful of rejection and failing that he put in the extra mile in order to excel, which he does. When he finally realises he's worthy of love and he loves Hannah, it was lovely to see. I was so happy for him for finally realising his own worth.

Another thing I loved in this story was the pop culture references. I even got the obscure Friends reference to the lobster because I'm in the process of rewatching all the Friends episodes and we recently watched that particular episode. Those references tickled me pink.

This was a total feel good story. It ticks all my boxes for something sweet, cute, heartwarming and lovely, and it was exactly what I needed. I'm thinking I might go back at some point and read Charlie and Arabella's story.

This was a very appealing and likeable story about two people that were in love with each other but hesitant about risking their friendship for the unknown. Tired of waiting, Hannah pushes herself to take the leap out of the friend zone but is Deacon along for the jump? This was such a delightful story of friends taking a chance on love and redefining their relationship. This is the second book in the series and stands strong on its own but I found myself going back to book one to read more from this incredible author.

Hannah is known as shy and soft-spoken but underneath she has a strong core and is an extremely hard working. When she gets the chance to win her best friends heart, once and for all, she takes it…it comes in the position of nanny on a rock and roll tour bus.

Deacon has been half in love with Hannah from day one but she is his best friend and he doesn’t want to mess up a good thing. But how is he going to resist her when she blows his mind with just her smile.

This is a case of serious lack of communication, which makes for some excellent reading.

Utterly sweet and endearing love story. He was her superhero, she saved his life and together they've always ever been best friends.

Can you say SWOON with a capital S! Harris writes humanized, lovable characters that touch a place deep in your heart.

This book is technically book two of the Country Blues series, but you do not have to read You're Still The One (or Accidentally Married On Purpose where we meet Tyler and Sherry) to enjoy this book, although you should because they're great books. This one completely stands alone and does not end on a cliffhanger. Any sex that happens is behind closed doors, but there is cursing, including two f-bombs (which don't offend me at all but felt really out of place in this story).

This book is seriously adorable. I was intrigued by the tiny snippet of Deacon and Hannah in You're Still The One, but I had no idea just how much I would enjoy this book. Their relationship is so sweet from the very start that I couldn't help but root for these two to figure out what we all knew – that they were totally meant to be. I do wish there had been more of Hannah and Deacon together, but thankfully Sherry and Ella were characters I am familiar with so their time spent together was nostalgic for me rather than seeming completely out of left field. I will admit that there were moments that I wasn't sure if Hannah would get it together, that she would never actually realize that she was worth more than she believed, but I was very pleased with how it all played out. Although Deacon screws up occasionally, the way that he loves and dotes on his son is so incredibly special. As much as I loved his bond with Hannah, his relationship with his son was even better. There is nothing as sexy as a man who loves his children.

One thing that Rachel Harris does so wonderfully is to infuse her books with both subtle and laugh-out-loud humor. I also found myself not only laughing out loud, but also smiling and chuckling at subtle phrasings or things that were happening. That happened so often that I lost count - I LOVE a book that makes me laugh, and Ms. Harris' books never fail to do that.

If you're looking for a sweet friends-to-lovers book that will make you swoon, make you laugh, break your heart a little and then put it back together, and make you smile, you should definitely give this book (and You're Still The One, and the Love and Games series) a read. I have really loved the last few books and cannot wait for Miles and Nate's stories.

I was very generously granted an ARC of this book by the publisher via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I very much enjoyed this story.

I haven't read a Rachel Harris book in a while and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. But when I received the chance for an ARC of The Nanny Arrangement, I jumped at it. And I was not disappointed.

It's incredible how even with adult contemporary romance, you don't really need the explicit love scenes to be touched to your very core by a love story.

Hannah and Deacon have always been very close. Since the moment Hannah approached Deacon when they were teens, something was there. They were best friends, they cared deeply for each other. They were both complete idiots. Well, kind of.

Deacon, always protecting Hannah at school when she was the social pariah for her stutter, became superman. Naturally. And Hannah was always there for Deacon, supporting him and encouraging him to chase his dreams. She was therewhen his ex (and Hannah's friend) left him at the hospital with their newborn. And she stepped in, cared for and loved Max as if he were her own. Forming this pseudo-family unit of their own, only without the romance.

But now that Deacon is Blue's fiddler/keyboardist and is going on tour with the band, fulfilling his life's dream, Hannah will be joining the group as the band's nanny. After a year in Paris, distancing herself from her feelings for Deacon, her goal is to find her happy.

The dynamics of this story is nothing short of adorable. I enjoyed every part, even the annoying ones where Deacon is being a complete idiot. Men. I loved the glimpses of the other couple's lives, the kids scenes were cute as hell and the F2B is, as always, perfect and on point with Rachel Harris's style.

But most of all I loved how deeply I felt everything Harris tried carrying through.

***4.5 Stars***

This is the second installment in the Country Blues series and my first read in this series. I have to say this I really liked this read. This story was slow paced but in a good way because I was able to get to know the two characters a lot better. When I read the synopsis and saw that Hannah was a shy woman I thought she was going to act very naïve but it was the opposite she had confidence in herself and was willing to try whatever she needed to get Deacon to notice her as a woman. Now as far as Deacon he was a wonderful father. Max not only adored his father but Hannah was “his Hannah”.

Hannah and Deacon were made to be together since she said hi to him and took him to have dinner at her home. From that moment he was there to protect her from the bully’s and help her with her speech problem but he had no idea that she had fallen in love with him. Now she has a plan and she is going to do whatever it takes to get him to notice her. I was so happy when she was able to make true friends in the band member’s significant others and that they were willing to help her with her Operation Find My Happy. I could see that she was making a headway in her operation but one phone call kills everything. Deacon wasn’t confident enough in himself to know that he was what made Hannah happy and when he loses her that’s it. When he finally sees that he let go of the person that he loves will he be able to get her back.

The Nanny Arrangement was a good read. I loved the characters and they were well developed. The chemistry between these two characters was passionate. The writing was great. This story had times of sadness but I found myself either smiling or laughing even more.

I totally recommend this read!!!

While I didn't read the first book, I assumed this could have been read without it. I'm not sure if that's true, or not. The story mentions a lot about the past but doesn't actually offer up much of what exactly happened, and I can't know if that is mentioned in book 1. Why I assume it wasn't is because I think it's a different couple from this couple here.

Another aspect I didn't like of this book was that many times I kept going "how did we get here?". Indeed, how did we get there, one moment we are going to a hotel with Hannah and Deacon and then next its like a different day and an entirely different scene and while the chapter broke it up I had this happen in the chapters as well. We would be reading about Deacon and his feelings and then suddenly he's at a fan meet and greet signing. How did we get there? Was he reflecting back to his time with Hannah in the previous day? It wasn't clear at all.

Hannah and Deacon's love doesn't completely shine through especially with their long long internal monologues. They both have feelings for each other but both are held back by different things, a sense of duty, a sense of self worth, a sense of pride, and a sense of hurt. This gets annoying and could have been cut down in half. I personally don't enjoy books with tons and tons of internalizing, I prefer a lot of dialogue to break it up.

While the story is mildly engaging I found myself board, wandering and not wanting to finish it but I knew I also did want to finish it. The story isn't bad, it just could be tightened up a bit.

Hannah is a woman who as a child struggled with a stutter, homemade clothing, older parents and constantly being bullied. Deacon has absent parents who enjoy the bottle more than him. But we never experience these feelings with him, we never feel these things with him or understand quite how they impact him. One day Hannah decides to go outside and talk to Deacon. They become fast friends BFFs who have always loved each other. It's alluded to there being a reason that Hannah fled to Paris, but it is never exactly expanded on what just happened, as though we are just supposed to know unless of course this is mentioned in book 1. Either way a refresh would have been nice. Eventually Deacon gets signed on to a country band named Blue and Hannah is asked to be a nanny for the band. One of the band members has a daughter and another one on the way and Deacon, well Deacon has a son named Max. And so Hannah becomes their nanny while the band is on tour. This allows Deacon and Hannah to possibly go beyond the friend zone.

Anyways, while the book has book parts and bad parts I just wished it was cleaned up a little bit more. There is definitely potential here for sure.

This is a sweet but rather slow story. Hannah and Deacon have been best friends for years, always the other's rock and support. Deacon doesn't know his own heart and after a stint away in Paris, Hannah decides if she doesn't push to get Deacon to see her as a woman she'll always regret it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

This is a fun contemporary romance that I just loved. It grabbed my attention from the very first page and kept it until the very last page. I loved Hannah, the wounded duckling from school - the girl with a stutter and that only wore thrift store and hand made clothes. As we all remember, kids can be cruel and they were horrible to Hannah when she was younger which left her as a very insecure woman.

Deacon was her only true friend through school, but he's only ever seen her as a friend. Now he is the fiddler for a very popular country group and a single dad. When the band goes on tour, he recommends Hannah be hired as their nanny. Once there, Hannah is determined to seize her happy.

This is an entertaining and enjoyable read following this unlikely pair of friends. I particularly loved how Hannah, despite being insecure, is willing to take a chance and reach for what she wants most. Fans of the genre will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.

this was a sweet romance. I enjoyed everything about this. I was glad when they both moved forward to their future. the supporting characters fleshed out the story too.

This was a great book. I enjoyed the development of friendships between the woment characters. Their help in getting Hannah and Deacon together.

I enjoyed Hannah and Deacon. Boy was he fighting the feelings that were so obvious to everyone who saw the two of them together. This was a fun read and I loved the fact that the kids had voice throughout the story. I may have to go back and read the first book to see how that transpired.

This was truly a contemporary romance that had the doubt, back and forth on worth and desire.

Great first by this author. I enjoyed this keep denying his feelings love story. Hannah & Deacon have been best friends forever, he's been her superman....her hero, who stood up to the bullies teasing her through life. She's his calm, his rock, always there helping him. Now back from a yr away in Paris, Hannah has decided to finally go after what she wants & that's Deacon & his young son Max. Becoming the nanny for the famous country band Deacon now plays with is the first step. But somethings never change & Deacon is still denying his feelings until the day he really hurts Hannah & things then change. Very well written & kept me wanting to keep reading until finished. Will be looking for more by this author. Definitely recommend.

I have to say this is one of those "Kept me up all night reads" literally. I started this book around 9pm and yes I stayed up until 9am and I finished this book in one sitting. I couldn't seem to stop. The characters drew me in. This is a "friends to lovers" story. With the heroine being the "ugly duckling" who finds her confidence to go after what she wants, her best friend, the hero, Deacon. I loved watching Deacon come to terms with his feelings, it felt real and natural, not forced as some stories tend to be. I enjoyed watching/reading as Hannah found her confidence in herself and what she wanted, where her happiness was even if it meant in the long run she might be hurt. There were a lot of secondary characters to love as well, including Max. I now have to go get the other titles in this series and read them, I want to know more about these characters and can't wait to see them all again in a future novel. Fans of great contemporary romances with the friends to lovers storyline will enjoy this one a lot. I do wish we'd seen a bit more flashbacks but mostly only because I think it would have given me more of an idea of what BOTH characters saw as kids but overall I don't feel it affected my enjoyment of this story. The characters are well written and believable. The backdrop of the country music world did add a bit to the story but honestly this one felt like it could have happened anywhere and still be a good story. As this is part of a series I always worry that I'll be lost or need to read the stories in order but I found that wasn't the case. I was fine not reading the previous stories, although now I do want to find them and read them. I do hope we see more of Deacon and Hannah in future stories, as I'd like to know what the future holds for them. This was a highly enjoyable read that I feel should be added to your "to be read"pile today.
