In Nudes, Sarah Robinson introduces us to Ben and Aria. Aria is an up and coming actress who is trying to make it in Hollywood in her own merits and Ben is a studio executive who is a bit jaded when it comes to relationships. When they meet its obvious that the sparks are there but for one reason or another they don’t pursue it. When they meet again later they can’t deny it anymore and decide to spend an entire weekend indulging on their chemistry.

The relationship between the characters is both explosive and sweet , and the way that Sarah writes it is kind of a slow torture, you keep wondering if they are ever going to be together.

Like with Sarah’s past work this book is very complex, it touches some subjects that are hard to deal with and I think that she did it in a good way, they were a couple of things that didn’t sit well with me but I don’t think that she wrote that intentionally, I think that she wrote it like I think would be in real life, it really got me thinking about the book long before I finished it.

I just read she is planning more books in this world and I look forward to see where she takes us.

Shel: Nudes was one of those good surprises you sometimes get as a reader. We've never read a Sarah Robinson book before and within pages I knew that we'd be reading more from her backlist. Nudes was just so incredibly easy to get sucked into; it's this Hollywood romance where Ben and Aria (our dual narrators) seem to instantly be drawn to each other and it's their connection and inability to stop it that made it so much fun to read. I know that some readers are put off by that insta-connection thing but the writing was so engaging that Ben and Aria's relationship just seemed right.
Another notable thing was the conversation about sexism and the double standard against women we find in our society. Robinson was not heavy handed in her application to this aspect and the way she crafted Aria and Ben's responses to various events in the novel was appropriate and what you'd want or expect to happen in real life. I also appreciated the author's note added to the end of this novel; it's nice to know where an author is coming from and how/why she makes the choices she does.
If Sarah Robinson is new to you, as she was to us, Nudes would be a great one to start with--it's a stand alone, a quick read, and you'll really like Ben and Aria.

Court: Right. The story was a teeny slow to get into for me, but about the 23% mark and Shelley telling me it was worth the wait, to be patient...Sarah hit a groove and it all came together. We were learning the characters and I wasn't sure quite where they wanted to take me yet. By the end of this book, though, I was hooked line and sinker for this one and Aria and Ben and Sarah's writing were the cause. I liked too that there are a lot of lessons in this book beyond them getting to know each other. Hollywood is a hard place to be, and dating your boss, someone older, and trying to get ahead in your business is a trope that is somewhat hard to navigate. Should it be a problem? No, but in Hollywood it is especially hard for women to do and like Shelley said...it was highlighted in a not in your face way but really added to the telling of this story. I felt so many emotions for Aria, and hurt for her and laughed with her...and experienced it all with her...and that is always a book we want to read, y'all. Pick this one up for a good time in movie making, and sexy times in between.

Nudes is a beautiful story with a powerful message. Aria is an up and coming young actress who knows better than to get involved with another Hollywood guy. But, when she meets Ben, the CEO of the studio producing her latest movie, it's lust at first sight, for both of them. As they get involved in an at first no strings affair, the sex is hot and steamy, but the feelings are even stronger than the passion. Even though it's a scandal waiting to happen, they just can't help themselves, and they indulge and indulge and fall head over heels.

But, when pictures are leaked of Aria and it appears that she's been betrayed, how will she handle it? What does it do to hers and Ben's relationship? I won't spoil what it does to their relationship and how they handle it. But, what it does to Aria is make her even stronger. She comes out, not unscathed certainly, but all the stronger and more empowered. The message behind Nudes is a really powerful, heart tugging one: body shaming, slut shaming and victim shaming is not OK, and victimizing anyone, no matter who it is, is something that doesn't just happen in Hollywood, it happens everywhere. It's so easy to sit at a monitor and click on photos then pass judgement upon the subject of those photos. But, what does your judgement do to the victim? How does it impact their lives? Does it hurt them? Of course it does, and it hurts Aria. But, instead of retreating and cowering, she uses that hurt to become a woman to be admired and respected. Bravo to Sarah Robinson for this amazing story, and for the message behind it. It's not something I will soon forget.

Nudes is a contemporary romance full of passion, romance, and scandal. The Hollywood lights shine brightly on Ben Lawson and Aria Rose and when the fire gets too hot, will they be able to withstand the heat or will they burn?

Aria Rose is an up and coming actress. Although she has landed a few pivotal roles, she is still waiting for her big break through. After a few messy hook ups and break ups, Aria is convinced that she needs to stay away from Hollywood Men and focus on her career. However, when she meets Ben Lawson, the CEO of an up and coming movie production company, they share an instant connection.

Ben knows better than to get mixed up with one of his actresses. After his messy divorce, the last thing he needs is another scandal in his life. When he meets Aria, she is like a breath of fresh air. She is younger, sweeter, and hotter than anything he has ever met before. Aria and Ben decide to share a quick weekend together and then move on like it never happened. However, fate had another plan for them. Aria and Ben fall head over heals in love with each other. But an up and coming actress dating her producer is certain to produce some bad press for them both. Despite their best efforts to stay away from each other, they can't seem to stay away. As their physical attraction grows, the emotional bond continues to forge, and Ben and Aria decide to try and make it work. But before they have the chance to celebrate their new romance, a horrific scandal threatens to destroy them.

Told in dual POV, Nudes is a forbidden Hollywood romance full of heart. Although the connection between Ben and Aria is fast, the relationship was raw and beautiful. The pacing of the read was intense as the scandal hits and Ben and Aria are torn apart. The supporting characters enhanced the story greatly. As each moment of the plot unfolds, I became more invested in this story. I enjoyed the relationship between Aria and Ben. The severity of the scandal that hits Aria presented a great conflict for their relationship and caused Aria to face off with the paparazzi and the "big bullies" of Hollywood. This element of the plot enhanced the story and certainly exposed the ugliness and hate that exists in our world today.

Overall, Nudes is a beautiful love story with strong characters and a great message. Aria and Ben will appeal to readers who enjoy a Hollywood romance or the forbidden romance trope. Sara Robinson has always been one of my go-to authors and Nudes certainly did not disappoint!

Don't judge the book by it's cover..
Hollywood's newest starlet Aria Rose covers all the celebrity websites with pictures... That happens to be her nude photos....
Aria Rose happens to be up and coming actress starting a new movie for Ben Lawson who happens to be new CEO of her picture. Both felt attraction from the first sight but they were burned before by their exes.
Aria wants to make on her own and Ben needs to establish his new position as CEO.
They keep putting off their attractions but that won't last long....
Finally they decided to go ahead... But things gets more complicated when Aria makes front page with Ben.. So they comes up with plan to keep their relationship hidden from everyone....
However, Aria's photo is all over the internet and paparazzi are hot on her tail. Now she has to figure out how those photos were released... When she tracks down her culprit she faces Ben with her evil ex together...
without explanation to each other, they believe what they want to believe....
Ben wanted to explain everything to Aria but he was afraid and Aria thought Ben was behind all the pictures.. Will they find their happily ever after in the land of make believe??
It was very interesting take on scandal, truth and people behind... It definitely was a page turner and I couldn't wait to finish the book. It was different take on scandals and photos by paparazzi's. I would recommend!!! Great for summer reading.

Wow, I was blown away by this story! Ben is on a comeback after an ugly divorce, and Aria is an upcoming actress with her first leading roll. There is an intense and instant chemistry between these characters. I am not giving away spoilers, I just urge you to read this story for yourself; you will not be disappointed!
This story is passionate, emotional, steamy, hot, and sexy, with hurt, betrayal, and love. This is a well written and compelling storyline, with strong characters, and I was hooked and enthralled from the very beginning. This story is worth so much more that the 5 stars allowed! Hats off to Sarah for her amazing work!!

3.5 Scandals Crowns

Sarah Robinson's novel, while a romance, really hits on some serious issues plaguing women today. While the story is intriguing on its own, the themes that run through the book are worth every single minute spent reading it.

Both of the characters, Ben and Aria are very likable characters. Ben is the perfect gentleman and showers Aria with the love and affection she deserves, and Aria is an independent and talented heroine. While their chemistry is believable and enjoyable to watch, it lacked a certain spark. There is nothing wrong with their character development or choices nor their intimate moments, but it just didn't connect for me.

The development of this story is filled with insta-lust and well-paced plot. Sarah Robinson places the reader right at the beginning of the scandal, and then jumps back to the exposition of the novel. What is clear pretty quickly is who will be responsible for the released photos, but not a certain characters involvement. Even though the plot development is clear early, what makes this a worthwhile read is the theme she creates. The stand Aria makes against slut-shaming, against verbally attacking each other, and against body shaming is phenomenal. The moment she refuses to succumb to these comments and the pressures of Hollywood is such an inspirational experience, and I love how her friends rallied behind her. This really makes it a worthwhile read.

Nudes is the first book in a new series by Sarah Robinson. It is plotted well with likable characters, and while this one didn't personally connect with me as a reader, it still is valuable in this social media, comment crazy world we live in, and as she says in the novel, we need to do better!

A very different kind of love story...

Naked was my first book of Ms. Robinson's and I am delightfully impressed by this story and her writing. The beautiful cover art and simple title honestly do not do this story justice. The word "naked" brings about many different thoughts, especially when paired with a beautiful woman and the glitzy Hollywood lifestyle. But being "naked" for Ben and Aria is being laid bare...stripped down, gutted and left vulnerable. This book is a refreshing change in the trend toward "insta" everything. Because you can't have forgiveness, understanding and a second chance at love without fully knowing each other. Kudos to Ms. Robinson for writing something refreshing with a strong female lead that held my attention and had me rooting for a true happy ending.

I received this with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Ben Lawson and Aria Rose. Ben has just been though a painful divorce and Aria just went through a break-up that has her distrusting men. So when the two meet they just can't understand how with neither of them looking for love how they can feel this connection. Aria knows that instant connections can happen and the couple can last. She has seen this happen with her own parents. But with Ben things are different for one he is her boss and for two she isn't sure she trust men. Can she open her heart up to something new or will she loose out on the best thing she will find?

Ben has had it with actresses especially with his ex-wife being one. He knows the heartache and drama they can bring into his life. Now that he has to prove himself in this field again he isn't looking to start something up with the studio's latest talent. However no matter how much he tries there is just something about Aria that keeps dragging him back. She gives him something he has never had before. He knows it could destroy them both but he just can't seem to stay away from her. Can he give them a chance or will he let his past ruin something amazing for him?

This is a fabulous story that not only shows you that true love is worth fighting for, but also there is a amazing message in this book as well. There are many things I want to tell you about this book but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Nudes definitely lived up to all of its early praise. I had to read the dedication twice because it just blew me away. You can say this book is many things: It’s a story about soulmates and it’s a story about two people learning to trust again. But most of all I think its Aria’s story. Most books have you rallying for the couple. Now I’m not saying I didn’t in Nudes but it’s hands down about Aria’s struggle to rebuild her life and career. There’s no denying Ben and Aria’s chemistry is off the charts. Even after their brief time together the interactions that followed left my heart aching. You could feel their want for each other in their words. I loved the way the story came together at the end. It packed a powerful punch. This book was nothing short of amazing. I wish there was something age appropriate for my teenager to read so she could learn a valuable lesson, especially in today’s day and age.

Sarah Robinson is a masterful genius! Done, enough said. Just kidding, the book was flipping phenomenal! There is a strong under current that no matter what life throws at you, we as human beings should be building each other up NOT shaming them. Wonderfully written and don't let the cover persuade you to not read this book. It's part of the whole concept and ties in great!

Ms. Robinson wrote 2 characters that have so much depth that it's hard not to get sucked into the book to find out the other layers. Aria is an upcoming actress with her first leading roll. She wants to be taken seriously in this business and won't allow anything to happen to her and her success. She wants to earn it on her own and not look like she was given preferential treatment.

Ben is the new CEO of Shepherd Film Studios. He is trying to make a comeback after having a nasty and bitter divorce. One thing he told himself after the divorce was, 'No more actresses'. However, this all changes when he meets Aria Rose. Their chemistry is off the charts and the insta-love that we experience was so well written and believable. (I'm not saying I don't believe is insta-love, its hard to read sometimes if it's not written well).

If I could I would give Ms. Robinson and Nudes a 5+, but alas I can't. I can tell you though that this a book you don't want to miss. It's is amazing!!

Ben Lawson is making a comeback...
After a few tabloid headlines, they think they know me. They don't know a damn thing. As CEO of a movie production company, I'll show them who I really am when we hit it big at the box office. My ex thought her smear tactics would ruin me, but I'm unbreakable. Rising from the debris, I swore I'd never let a woman distract me like that again. But then, my leading actress walked on the set and changed everything.

Seductive, sexy, and unapologetic, Aria Rose could break me. I wanted to help her, protect her...love her. Instead, I destroyed her.

Aria Rose is baring it all....
I knew better. I knew not to trust another Hollywood heartthrob with a reputation like his. He was my boss and became my ruin. I should have stayed far away from him. Ben Lawson promised me the world. He even promised me his heart.

My Thoughts:
I honestly am at a loss for words. I have been a fan of this author for a while now and I am not surprised at how good this book is, but it is different than what she has written before and her message that comes through is nothing short of amazing. I was captivated from page one all the way through! I fell in love with all the characters and I didn’t want to story to end.

This book has so much substance to it! I don’t want to give anything away because it’s just so good that you need to experience it for yourself. I am so jealous that I can’t read it again for the first time, but I know this is going to be one of my reads that I will re-read over and over again.

This book had all the feels and the heat you expect in romance, but yet it is so much more! I promise you won’t regret picking up this fantastic book!

If the burb doesn't sell this book to you then the cover I mean look at it!
I don't want to say too much about the story the synopsis says it all. Aria is a rising star in Hollywood she may be young but she's no quiet mouse and speaks her mind. When she meets Ben on the set of her next movie sparks fly between them but how do two people who don't want to fall in love deal with their attraction.
This may be a Hollywood romance but it's not a typical cheesy take one the genre. I really enjoyed the story it was well thought out with charcters you will be willing on to make it and get a HEA.

This is such a breathtaking book! I didn't know what to expect but this book far exceeded any of my expectations. Soulmates from the beginning even if it was something that shouldn't be. There are so many ups and downs within these pages that you aren't going to want to put this book down. I can't wait to read more books from this incredibly talented author. She brings her characters to with such a strong voice that you get drawn into their story and fall in love with them!

WOW this book just blew me away, don't let the cover dissuade you. This book is about so much more . There is love. lust, betrayal and redemption .  You can't help but fall in love with the main characters .   You watch them fall in love and be betrayed and then come back together . Let me introduce you to Ben and Aria and their hollywood story .
Ms Robinson has written a book with such great characters . Ben is the swoon worthy guy that all the girls will fall for but there is more to him then meets the eye . He has a past that has made him what he is today. He wants being the head of the movie company his comeback . But things change when he meet Aria . She is an up and coming star  and she is so sweet but strong. She isn't your typical actress , she has a heart and tends to follow it and it hasn't led her astray.  When these two characters meet the heat in the room rises and bang its gets hot in here . They are very good together and when they are together you actually see them relax and be themselves not the characters they protray in the world they are in .  When things go wrong you see Aria become stronger even though her heart is breaking and you see Ben do everything in his power to get to the bottom of what happened . He wants the one woman that made him happy back . You can really feel their pain and you want them back together so much .  There is one character that absolutely hated in the book just cause he is so slimy is Russ . He is the epitome of what a slimy director is like and what he will do to bring down the actress that shunned him . I really wanted to slap him across the face a few times . Tell me what you think of him .
I will applaud Sarah on handling this topic with the sensitivity she did . This is the first book i have sat down and read in a day . i couldn't put it down, the characters made me fall in love with them and the story is very prevailant in todays world .  It shows inequality between men and women and even though we have come so far there is still sexism that goes on. DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER  there is more to this book then the cover .  I know people have been judging the cover but i will say the cover does the book justice . Just take the chance and read the book and you will fall in love with Ben and Aria and there will be plenty of sex to keep you satisfied . i bet you will read this book in an evening and love every word .  This is my all time favourite book by Sarah Robinson

This is my first Sarah Robinson book but I can tell you that it won't be my last. The blurb for this caught my eye and the cover, well the cover had me intrigued as well. Ms. Robinson weaves a carefully crafted tale with Nudes, and it's definitely a book that had passion and heart to it.

From the moment the book begins I was pulled into the story. My heart immediately lurched in my chest and I felt a wave of sympathy for our heroine. There's just no other way I could have felt. Then I wanted to know how she was going to deal with the hand she was dealt.

I liked our hero and our heroine. Neither of them are looking for what they find in each other, and they in fact resist it as much as they possibly can. I enjoyed that push pull, and that eventual giving in. The chemistry between them sparked from the start and was fanned well throughout.

The pacing of this story just worked. The writing was sharp, clean and flowed really well. I enjoyed the entire journey Ms. Robinson took the reader on. I think this story was uniquely told and was a fresh look at a very relevant topic in society now.

I enjoyed this book from Ms. Robinson and look forward to reading more of her work. I would recommend this book.
