OMG I love this book! This series just keeps getting better with each book!!!

I am totally in love with this series from Stacey! Every book just gets better with more dips, swirls and steam than your favorite coffee. Good grief the woman can write a story.

Bennett is the boss from hell and seems to get off on making his assistant Rebecca's life one straight up living hell. Moody, picky, brooding, door slamming in the office and Rebecca has grown somewhat immune to his bad behavior. She'd grown up with that. She was good at what she did and Bennett had no beef with that. His main problem is he's been hot for her since she started working for him.

On an evening out her best friend Miranda talks her into going to Luminous. Rebecca stumbled into Miranda and Shawn's playroom at home and is stunned. She's got a million questions, confused by the whole Dom/sub thing, and Miranda thinks she'd get a better idea at the club, it's New Years Eve so nothing heavy going on. Pandora's box, at the club she sees Bennett engaged in play with a woman who is nicely tied and getting her due. He's every inch a Dom. He hasn't had a sub for a very long time. Rebecca meets a few more people at the club, friends of Miranda and then Bennett sees her.
After some careful what I would say negotiation between these two, Bennett takes her home to her house and they engage in some light play, I'd call it pre D/s 1o1. Bennett knows she's skittish, sensitive and at a complete loss when it comes to understanding submission. When you read the book and her backstory you understand why. When he leaves he tells her that the next move is hers, he won't touch her again until she is on her knees in front of him in his office beginning for him to take her. Otherwise that's all she's getting from him. She's just had the best sex of her life and frankly so has he. His behavior post play is..... ahh read the book....

The next week is hell, he's a complete a@@ to her, back to door slamming and now the silent treatment. They are in the throes of landing a big contract and he expects Rebecca to handle to rewrite which she does, goes to the meeting with the buyer and pretty much takes over. She's got an answer for every question the man had. He's duly impressed, Bennett is silent, he's not angry, he's impressed. He tells her to return to the conference room after she takes the guest to the elevator and the man is so impressed he offers her a job should she ever leave there, or desire more. Returning to conference room, Bennett is flaming, telling her to shut the door, she refuses instead of being her usual compliant self, she's fed up with his nasty crap from the week. They circle each other. And on it goes. He tells her he's left something on in her office for her, she finds a folder on her chair and when she opens it, it's a sex contract. She closes the folder and takes it home, calling Miranda for help. Miranda drags her out for the evening, along with two other friends. Rebecca decides to ask for advice. Miranda gets up with Haley and leaves her with Gabby who explains her own life to Rebecca and then what may probably needs to hear, but giving no real answers. But what it does do it make things click into place for Rebecca. It's obvious Bennett wrote the contract for the two of them, it's not a standard D/s contract. He's taking the first step to committing to her, despite what he told her after their one night together. That paper opens a whole new aspect to these two that is amazing to see unfold.
I loved this plot, I'll admit Bennett took some getting used to, I'd have skinned him alive just for the door slamming, but Rebecca is a saint. Watching Rebecca's character develop without losing who she was and still carrying her ability to blush and ask questions. Bennett never lost his deep respect and admiration for her. The plot evolution was great and the minor characters were good too.
The book is a solid 5. Yes, you should read it.
Great story once again Stacey!!

"New Year, new goals, new life."

I read Long For Me as a standalone. I enjoyed the other couples that featured in the story and I'm assuming theirs are the ones the I missed in the first two books. I am definitely intrigued enough to go back and read them to learn their history. I was initially introduced to the works of Stacey Lynn because of my MC Romance addiction. I enjoyed her Nordic Lords MC series, so I decided to check out her Luminous series. I'm glad that I did. I really liked this version of a D/s relationship and I'm intrigued to see how the other couples represented in the series are written.

Rebecca has been working for the same company since graduating from high school. She started as an intern and worked her way up. Well, at least she though she was moving up until she got to her current position as Bennett Ashby's assistant. Yes, he was the boss. The owner of the company. But that didn't excuse his deplorable behavior towards her. She didn't mind him being bossy, but did he have to be an asshole?

She knew she should do a better job of keeping her irritation to herself, but sometimes he provoked her so much that she couldn't help herself. She gave him attitude. She had no choice but to let him push her around in the office, but she was determined to not ever let a man do so outside of work. But that didn't stop her from drooling over him when he wasn't looking. And she'd been drooling for years.

She didn't deny that he was gorgeous, at least not to herself. He was most definitely some delicious eye candy, as long as he wasn't speaking to her. As soon as he started barking orders and insults the steam coming out of her ears dimmed his appeal. She assumed that he treated all women this way. Until she saw him showing a softer side to another woman... at Luminous. Not only did it make her aware he was capable of kindness, it made her yearn to be on the receiving side of it. But if she crossed that line, how could she face him in the office the next day?

Bennett was ashamed of the way he had been treating Rebecca, but it was the only way he could keep his distance. She was driving him to distraction at the office. He tried not to watch her, but the sway of her hips in those pencil skirts drew his gaze every time. The fire in her eyes when she was mad at him pushed him to purposely incite her just so he could see it. Yes, he liked being in control. Yes, he liked submission. But he also liked a challenge. When the woman he'd been fantasizing about in the office showed up at his sex club, all his promises to himself went by the wayside. He convinced himself that if he could just have her one night she would be out of his system and then his workplace would be peaceful again. Yeah, sure it would...

Hot damn, it was H0T to read about Rebecca's introduction to a lifestyle that she feared, but was irresistibly drawn to. Having seen the beautiful loving relationship between her best friend and her husband who lived the lifestyle, she was curious. She was drawn to the way he treated her so well, looking after and protecting her. She's always wanted that for herself. But what would it cost her to get it? Were all BDSM relationships like that, or were they the exception? What would be expected of her? Was she capable of giving up control? Could she let go of her hangups long enough to enjoy the experience? Well, there was only one way to find out. And why not him? He was perfection in a suit, and she imagined what was underneath it was even better. It was the New Year and her resolution was new goals and a new life... starting now.

Rebecca has fought her way to where is today. Even if her arrogant boss doesn't see it. Her boss is beyong sexy until he opens his bossy, arrogant jerk of a mouth.
Bennett is bossy alright. He has to have control in ALL situations. He craves it. One thing he is struggling to control is how he reacts to his sexy assistant Rebecca.
What happens when they run into each other at Luminous? FIREWORKS!!!!
This is my favorite book of this series so far! This book is an insanely intense, passionate story! I read it straight through because I needed to know what happened next! Bennett exudes power, strength and dominance, but the way he treasures Rebecca could make any girl pea green with envy! I loved every world! Stunning!! Passionate!! Your panties may combust and your heart will melt!
A MUST READ!!!

Bennett tries, but sometimes his logic just isn't logic, "...I didn’t look at her *** or her breasts once. Score one for me, right? Treat her like a woman and not an object? Chicks dug that ****." Bennett likes to plan things out, “no. I’m taking you to dinner where we’ll talk, and then I’m taking you to my home so I can eff you.” I loved this book, Bennett could be such an *** and I was so attracted to that aspect of him for a strange reason.

Long for Me was such an intense loving story. I absolutely loved the couples in this story. It was amazing to read. BDSM for me seems like something very beautiful. I love reading about it whether it's a sweet side of BDSM or the raunchy side of it. This was a beautiful mixture of sweet and raunchy.

Rebecca was amazing. She wasn't interested in BDSM because in her mind it was just a man abusing a woman. It wasn't until she stepped foot in Luminous with her neighbors/friends Miranda and Shawn that she got to see what it was all about. It all seemed to intrigue her, but she had her own barriers prohibiting her from truly enjoying. All her barriers, however, came crashing down when her Boss was at the club and she saw him. He changed her world.

Bennett is a very dominate in both business and sex. He's a dom that frequents Luminous. He hasn't had a sub in a while, but goes to play every now and then. His attracted to his assistant, but tries not to push things over the line until he sees her at Luminous. Bennett is the perfect Dom -- sweet, caring, observant, loving, can bang well and takes extra care of his sub's heart, mind and soul. He doesn't just focus on her body. Bennett was very mature in that he wanted more to life than just sex and running a business. He wanted a family and a wife.

The romance was simply beautiful. Both were attracted one another, but kept things strictly professional until that one night of sin. That one night turned the tables for both of them and made them realize that the truly cared more for one another. I loved seeing them in and out of the office. They were in-sync and perfect for each other. Bennett made Rebecca better and she did the same for him. The sex was out of this world! Loved these two together from beginning to end.

I totally enjoyed reading about the other couples such as well. It added so much fun and depth to the lifestyle going on at Luminous. Great read for all BDSM lovers out there and even the ones who are curious about it.
