it was an okay read but for me, I don't enjoy when one (or both) of the main characters in my romances has loved & been married before. That is just my own personal preferences as it takes away from enjoying the romance taking place when my mind goes wondering always to the ex and their life together as well as feeling that the h (or H in many cases) is second choice - which is why I took a star as it lost me from that point on in the story...

Thanks to Harlequin and NetGalley for the book in exchange for an honest review.

Garrett Bravo was at his cabin to escape from his meddling mother, never did he think he'd have a woman in a wedding dress show up out of the blue. She was a mess and looked like she'd had some sort of an accident. Turns out she had and she was fine but she was done with her old life and was ready to start doing things that made her happy and not worry about anyone else. Garrett is going to help her, he lets her stay with him at the cabin until he goes back home. She's been through all kinds of things, he's attracted to her but won't push anything.

Cami is finally free of her family and her fiancé. She stumbles upon Garrett in the woods and finds a peace with him. She likes being with him and hopes he wants more than they've had. She has to deal with her family first. She has to stand up and be an independent person, Garrett helps her with that. BUT Garrett doesn't want anything more than a friend with benefits relationship. Cami isn't settling for anything now, when she knows she deserves it all!

I really enjoyed seeing a woman take charge after realizing that her life wasn't going anywhere that she wanted but where others wanted it to go. She was going to do what she wanted to and if people didn't like it who cares! Garrett was so great with her until he realized it going towards a real relationship instead of something fun. When Cami tells Garrett what she wants and what she deserves he lets her go, because he's not wanting the same things. Will he realize what he lost and go after her or will she find someone else to spend her new life with?

Runaway bride Camilla Lockwood's escape was not without trial. Jilting her fiancee at the altar, she jumps in her beemer and flees, only to be run off the road into a steep ravine on a mountain.
Trekking up the steep slope in Laboutins and her wedding gown, shedding the shoes and petticoat on the way, led to a bruised and bedraggled appearance.
Relaxing at his cabin at a bonfire coking hot dogs with his dog, Garrett Bravo looks up at the spectre she created when she stumbled into his campsite.
After refusing to be taken to a doctor, she made herself comfortable at the cabin with Garret for a few days. Needed respite for both, they talked and grew comfortable together.
Both had personal issues to work out and ended up supporting each other through them.
This is a sweet and steamy western romance in the Bravo Family series and you won't want to miss it.
I requested and received a NetGalley ARC to my complete delight.
