3 stars for Shohn. It's a short and fast read.

I enjoyed the original Buckhorn series by Lori Foster a great deal, and I’ve enjoyed many of the novellas featuring the offspring of those first couples, but Shohn just didn’t have the same feel as the others. Shohn as with many of the other men in this series has a reputation of being a ladies’ man even at age 25, but the minute he sees Nadine when he goes to pick up his cousin’s dog he’s a goner. Mind you Nadine lives in the same town as him, is friends with his cousin, and he even protected her from bullies when they were teenagers, but he never noticed her until this moment. I can get past that, I can understand that people change, grow up, and wise up, but considering the fact that she didn’t want to be one of his conquests, their relationship moved way too fast for me. I would have like to see them get to know one another as adults, have some meaningful conversations, even discuss what they were doing together but instead they go from lust to undying love in the blink of an eye. I enjoyed seeing the couples from the original series including Shohn’s parents, Honey and Sawyer, and especially his Uncle Morgan, and while there was a happily ever after, for me it just came way too quick. Having been a fan of Ms. Foster for years, this book was a bit of a disappointment for me.

Short, sweet and hot. After years, Shohn finally noticed Nadine. She doesn't want to become another one of his ladies. She makes him work for it.

Shohn is a short, hot story, where the main character has to work to get a woman to like him - and it's the first time this has ever happened to him. Thanks to meddling family members, a shy heroine, and a hot hero, I had a good time with this story.

I enjoyed this book. It pulled you right in and kept you turning the pages. This book was well written and I had no issues following the story. It tied into the other books in the series well.

This was an enjoyable book. What i liked most was visiting old friends and the teasing the parents inflict on the now adult children. I hope there are more books in this series. The Buckhorn brothers was one of my favorites.

Read this as part of the Animal Attraction Anthology. I really love the Buckhorn Series, and I’m so glad that we’re getting to see the next generation grown up and getting their HEA. Shohn is awesome and I love him with Nadine.

3.25 stars--SHOHN is instalment 5.5 in Lori Foster’s contemporary, adult BUCKHORN BROTHERS romance series focusing on the men and women of Buckhorn County. This is twenty-five year old Ranger Shohn Hudson, and twenty-three year old Animal House Pet Hotel owner Nadine Moest’s story line.

Originally released as part of the author’s 2013 Buckhorn Ever After anthology SHOHN follows the friends to lovers relationship between Buckhorn Ranger Shohn Hudson, and animal caretaker Nadine Moest. Shohn never thought about Nadine Moest in a sexual sort of way but lately he begins to reconsider his attraction to a woman he has known most of his life. When Shohn is asked to pick up his cousin’s dog from the Animal House Pet Hotel, our hero finds himself thinking about the possibilities of a sexual relationship with our story line heroine. Hoping against odds that Nadine feels the same way Shohn sets about to seduce the woman that has sparked a yearning he never knew existed. What ensues is the quick building, lust to love relationship between Shohn and Nadine, and the potential fall-out when jealousy and misunderstanding rear its’ ugly head.

SHOHN is a quick read; a novella length story line that follows one woman who has secretly desired our story line hero, and one man whose manwh*ring ways are coming to an end. The premise is spirited; the characters are animated; the romance is intimate but the overall premise lacks definitive character development or general world building as it concentrates on a few days in the life of two friends who have finally found what they never thought they were looking for.

I absolutely loved Lori Foster's Shohn! I just wish it had been longer.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley for an honest review.

Lori Foster has another hit on her hands! The characters and storyline are beautifully written. I really cared for these characters and didn't want the book to end. Shohn is a forest Ranger and has just gotten off from a long shift, but he cannot go home yet. He has to pick up his cousin Amber's dog Rookie at the Animal House Pet Hotel. Nadine is the owner of the hotel and Nadine thinks he is a playboy not looking for a relationship. Shohn doesn't like going to the pet hotel because Nadine always indifferent to him. Nadine will not let the dog  into Shohn's custody unless Amber calls her and let her know that it is alright. While they wait, things start to get hot, and Nadine does't act indifferent to him. This was such a good read! I loved the Buckhorns series, and enjoyed seeing characters from past books. I recommend this book and series to everyone. I give Shohn: A Contemporary Romance Novella (The Buckhorn Brothers) 5/5 stars!

Shohn is a ranger who comes from a big family who are in each other business. When he stops to pick up his cousin dog he remembers why Nadine the owner of a dog care business is amazing. Shohn and Nadine are adorable together as they discover why they make the perfect couple. The gazebo scene is hilarious.

I read this novella the first time around and was not dissappointed on the repeat. It is quick and entertaining with plenty of fun.

Shohn loves life and lives up to the family reputation. Nadine has been watching him since they were in grade school. She does NOT intend to be one of his notches and lets him know. It only takes a small wardrobe choice for things to change.

Shohn is a wonderfully fun, romantic story, just like all Lori Foster stories! One of my favorite things about Lori Foster is the sense of humor and fun that she infuses into her stories, if you are a fun of hers you will love this story and cheer for Shohn and Nadine as you also have a couple of good laughs!
Shohn is part of a previously published Buckhorn anthology, it is a wonderfully fun romantic story and I love the characters. Shohn is known as a ladies man and Nadine has known him since she was a child and has had a huge crush on him, but she has made sure that Shohn did not know this as she doesn't want to be just another bed mate in a long list. Nadine's and Shohn's courtship is fun and the sparks fly between them.

Shohn is a novella from the Buckhorn Brothers series.

This is a quick, fast paced novella, with banter that is fun and flirty and captivated my attention from the very first page.

With Nadine, Shohn has met his match. She doesn't fall at his feet like he's used to, and he has to work harder to gain her trust.

This was the first title in the Buckhorn Brothers series, that I have had to the opportunity to read, but will be looking to read the rest of the books, and this one although short was quite entertaining and engaging.

What a sexy hero! This novella is a nice short introduction to the Buckhorn clan and made me want to seek out other books in the series. I love the closeness of the family and also the variety of occupations each family member has.

Shohn’s job as a ranger is a perfect compliment to the heroine’s job as the owner of a doggie day care and kennel. As with all of Lori Foster’s heroes, he’s incredibly sexy and just sizzles off the page.

I liked how the heroine is a bit insecure, not enough that she doesn’t sass the hero when he needs it. It helps that they’ve known each other since they were children, and that the hero saved her from a bully when they were both young teenagers, so they have a comfortable relationship. It makes for very witty banter and good interaction between the two of them.

I wish the novella had been a bit longer, because it seemed like the hero just decided to suddenly come on to the heroine out of the blue after knowing her for so long. It was as if the author didn’t have the word count to really delve into why he had considered her off-limits for most of his life. The heroine’s resistance to him was understandable, because she not only knew his various sexual exploits through what his own cousins had told her, but he had had a disastrous fling with one of her ex-employees.

The hero’s cat is absolutely hilarious! He pretty much stole the book once he got on the page.

The hero needed some meddling on his family’s part to realize his feelings at the end, and I’m a bit torn as to whether that was cute or a bit too interfering, but it’s nice that the hero had family close enough to him to care about him and want his happiness, and to see what was going on with him and the heroine.

Overall, a good novella that I really enjoyed reading.

This is a little novella and it is just perfect. A good quick read you can read in one sitting. Fantastic characters which have very hot chemistry. A cute and enjoyable story. The animals in this story some to steal the a bit of the limelight but they are quite humorus. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

Yet another Hero who is a man whore. Normally I like stories where either both or one of the couple is in love or crushing on the other, however I am not a fan when the H such as in this case, is seducing and sexing up every female in town! I liked the fact that the heroine did not want to be “another” in a long list but would have preferred if she had resisted more & made him work for it because I honestly didn’t buy in the insta attraction or love. It just felt as if he was more into the chase and all. Still a good read if you are just into light mindless reading.

Shohn is a sweet short story, but not a lot really happens. Honestly Shohn is a little hard to like because he's known Nadine he whole life and all of a sudden he is just starting to notice her and the way Nadine just falls over him makes her character a little hard to respect as well. Perhaps if the story were a little longer and the characters could have been developed more it would have resonated with me better, but as it is there is nothing particularly memorable about the story or the characters.

The story of Shohn Hudson and Nadine Moest was a fun read. It is a novella that was first published 2013 as part of an anthology. While reading it I knew it was a reprint, yet I thought it dated even further back since the demeanor and attitude of the characters reminded me of the first Harlequin books I read a few decades ago.
Nadine is a curvy girl, and I loved that. She was a strong, capable, and caring person. She runs her own successful business and is liked by all. She has had a crush on Shohn since they were kids, yet she has no desire to be one of his conquests, another notch in his bedpost.
Shohn is a notorious ladies man. He can charm them all and he knows it and enjoys it. Except for Nadine who does not seem to care about his flirting. Shohn seems to take this as a challenge and sets a plan to seduce Nadine.
The banter between them is entertaining, the back and forth goes on through the tale. Novella length does not give you much room for character development and a meaningful conflict, but I doubted Shohn's feelings, I was not sure if Nadine was a challenge to him or was there deeper meaning with his relentless pursuit. I also was surprised that the strong and capable woman that Nadine was introduced as swooned when Shohn paid attention to her, was complete putty in his hands. But maybe some books should just be enjoyed for the amusing repartee and sizzling physical chemistry - Shohn had plenty of both of them.
A nice rainy evening read
