Anyta Sunday really does know how to give us a charming, fun, slow-burn story.

Great snarky banter between the MCs, who really were adorable. Loved the cul-de-sac and all the characters, what a fabulous place to live!

I had a smile all the way through the read, you can't ask for more than that.

Liked this one just as much as book 1. No cheating, HEA. Funny in its nerdiness. I only wished the book was from both perspectives, but otherwise a great read.

Anyta Sunday's books are pretty much becoming my go to feel good books. I smiled all the way through reading this one and it totally left me with the warm and fuzzies, highly recommended.

Despite the title, there is no hate in this story. 🙂 There is good natured banter/teasing, and though they call themselves enemies, everybody knows they are just biding their time until they stop tiptoeing around each other.

Percy and Cal have known each other since they were in their early teens and Percy fell off his bike at the vision that was Cal mowing a lawn. Percy knows Cal is straight so to protect himself he makes them “enemies.”

When Percy’s aunt passes away, Percy returns to her home and the very close knit community. I would love to live in a neighborhood like this one and was so delighted to learn about all the games they played. Those games play a big role in bringing Cal and Percy together.

This is a slow burn but oh so worth it, and Cal is totally open to starting his fantasies sooner rather than later.

Theo and Jamie and Leone from book 1 are here too with their mother, Crystal, being a member of the cul-de-sac. It’s always nice to see beloved characters again.

This is a great continuation of book 1 I am a big fan of Anyta’s writing style. The character’s don’t just jump into a relationship – they flirt and tease and dance around each other just enough to make it interesting – to make you question do they know what they are doing? Are they doing it on purpose? I will admit I was disappointed they didn’t really show any animosity towards each other (I like that in a man, lol), but at the same time I couldn’t help but laugh at their antics.

I do recommend this book; you don’t have to read book 1 to read this one. I would consider this a stand alone novel.

I loved the first book in this series - it was so charming and delightful. The second book didn't quite have the same quirky charm and sweetness of the first book. I love a good boy-next-door, nemesis turned lover romance but somehow, something was lacking in this story.

3,5 stars rounded up because of the sweet ending

This was a light read, with pretty law angst. My biggest problem would be the slow burning.

I was pretty excited when I got it via NetGalley, but while reading it, my excitement faded and I just couldn't wait for Percy and Cam to admit they are not really enemies.

I really loved the first book in this series, Leo Loves Aries. I know I shouldn't compare these two stories, because they are pretty different, but I can't help it. I expected the same sweetness and hotness and I got it, but a little too late. I'm not really fond of all the slow burning and it was a little painful reading the first half of this book.

Percy and Cal were both funny. I loved their banter. I chuckled so many times. And I also loved all their nice neighbors. The ending made me smile and gave me hope. A new beginning is the best ending I could hope for.

There were some pretty amazing hot scenes. These two are great together. I loved them as a couple and I'm sure I would have loved this story way more if it wasn't for the slow burning.

Looking forward to reading more from Anyta Sunday.

If you were a fan of the first book in the series, you'll love this as well.  It's full of witty dialog, UST and snark.

It's fairly low steam and it takes most of the book for our MCs to even kiss, but our guys are very funny together.

Considering that book 1 of the series, "Leo Loves Aries", was one of my 2017 highlights, I had high expectations for "Scorpio Hates Virgo" - and they were not disappointed.

Right from the beginning, the chemistry between Cal and Percy is incredibly strong. Percy claims that they are 'nemeses' for a while, but that doesn't change anything; there is a special connection between them that has nothing to do with enmity, neither a real nor pretend one, and it was great to see how they slowly grew closer and allowed themselves to be friends and more. Since the story is told from Percy's point of view, it's a bit difficult to truly understand Cal since Percy has no idea what he is thinking, especially about their relationship. They are flirting, they touch 'innocently' and talk about every possible subject, but because the protagonist has been badly hurt in the past, he has problems with trusting others and is convinced they are going to leave eventually. He waits for them to leave, too. The author has managed to describe this inner struggle really well and I liked how Percy let Cal get closer and how he slowly learned to deal with his grief about his aunt.

Like in the other books of Anyta Sunday that I've read so far, the romance is rooted in a deep friendship that grows during the course of the story and I really enjoy that. Of course this doesn't mean that there's no sexual tension; the protagonists are dancing around each other for a while, but there are moments in which they are intimate. The balance between sexual scenes, humour and tender moments is well done. I also liked that their other relationships - with their family, friends and the whole neighborhood - got a lot of 'screen time'. Especially great was seeing Theo and Jamie (the protagonists of "Leo Loves Aries") again. I'm so glad that they are still happy together!

Another big plus of the book is that is shows some sexualities that are usually not represented. It's a small, but important point that I enjoyed.

In conclusion, all I can say is that this second book is a great, interesting read. It not only gives the reader a beautiful, humorous but romantic love story, it also deals with themes like grief and starting anew really well.

Cute, sweet and heartwarming.

A slow burn romance between two big hearted young men. A hilarious setting in a neighborhood full of quirky, caring people.

Charming!

This is a fun frenemies-to-lovers story! I loved the banter between Percy and Cal, Both guys met several years before and sort of rubbed each other the wrong way. Later on, (years really), Percy has to go back to the home he shared with his aunt, to prep it for sale, when he meets Cal again. The 2 men begin a slow friendship to love which is fun to watch. Both men grow in different ways - Cal, who is straight- accepts his attraction to Percy; and Percy learns to trust that not everyone leaves. Cal's family and the neighbourhood residents add to this fun story.

What can I say? I have a sappy, cheesy, happy smile adorning my face right now.

The great thing about this book (that might not be other people's cup of tea), is that it reads like fanfiction. This, coming from me, is a compliment. It is an emotional, sweet, smutty, basically angst-free book that will leave you feeling giddy and bubbly and wanting more and more.

I haven't been reading in a while because the medication I'm on takes away my motivation to do things, this book managed to push through all that. Thank you, Anyta!

As a general rule of thumb, I tend to avoid enemies-to-lovers. I just almost never find them realistic enough for my tastes. I mean how do you really go from despising someone to loving them? Bananas.

I broke my personal rule for this story, and boy am I glad I did. I gotta be fair though. This story isn't really a enemies-to-lovers even though it is tagged as such. It's more a frenemies to lovers? A I am pretending to hate you but really I love and value you as a person- to-lovers? I'm not really sure what to call it, but I do know that I loved it. It was witty, sarcastic and funny, just how I like my stories. More than once I wanted to skip through a field of lilies or something- because that's what people do when they're insanely happy, right? I don't know.

But! I do have some (constructive) criticisms. This story felt long sometimes. There were parts were I was like, "okay, I am going to put this story down right now." For me, this is not so good because I am a marathoner. I marathon shows, books, work, everything! I just sit down and finish things in one sitting. If I, of all people, had to take breaks that means that it was quite a long story. Secondly, I mean, maybe I'm a pervert, but boy did it take forever to get to the hanky panky. This isn't all bad though. A little UST is good for the soul, but I got to admit, there were times I wish I could jump into the story and smush their heads (read: lips.) together.

All in all, a great read! Not as great as the first in the series, but to be fair, Leo Loves Aries was legendary good. I've reread it like 139u939309x and want it read at my funeral if possible, so it's definitely hard to beat.

Although Scorpio Hates Virgo is the second book in the Signs of Love Series it can easily be read as a stand alone book.

Scorpio Loves Virgo was a sweet, charming and VERY slow burn romance with quirky, fun characters and lots of fun banter.

Percy and Cal are both unique and likable characters who you can help but love and root for. This book is a very slow burn with the characters not even sharing their first kiss until around the 70% part but the lead-up to getting there is lots of fun and worth it. I have to admit I don't usually like that slow of a burn but I enjoyed these characters and watching them slowly find their way to each other and flirt with each other. s

Percy is back at his aunt's house after she dies to get the house ready to sale. It's his inheritance but he just doesn't think he can live their without her. Percy was kicked out of his house for being gay and went to live with his Aunt Abby. Not only has Percy recently lost his aunt but his boyfriend of several years also just broke up with him. However, the neighborhood is very close and they are constantly reaching out to try to help him and get him to stay and no one more than Callaghan (Cal).

Cal dropped out of college when his dad left his mom, 2 younger sisters and oh yeah his mom is pregnant as well. So now he's home trying to keep his family running smoothly and reaching out to Percy at the same time. Percy keeps insisting that he wants to move and dragging Cal along to look at a new place to live. But as the two spend more time together their walls are starting to drop.

Not only does Percy grow closer to Cal but he is also very close to Cal's family and spends a lot of time with them. I really loved Cal's family and as secondary characters they added a lot to the story. I particularly loved Percy's relationship with Cal's sister. The neighbors were wonderful and lots of fun and it would be amazing to live in a neighborhood like that.

I really liked Cal and the fact that he didn't worry much about his attraction to Percy he just needed some time to think it through and make some decisions about whether he wanted to pursue it or not. Percy was a bit messed up with his worry that everyone leaves him but I enjoyed the growth and his realization at the end. There was even a sweet twist in the middle of the book that had me going back and re-reading a few parts of the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed this fun, quirky and romantic book.

I have been waiting for this book since I finished Leo Loves Aries (which was freaking AMAZING) and am so so glad the author allowed me to get an advanced copy. I can't get enough of a delicious slow burn and that's exactly what I got.

Percy and Cal grew up as "nemesis's", but really, it was Percy's way to not fall in love with his straight neighbor. Percy was kicked out of his home when his parents found out he was gay and was taken in by his Aunt Abby who just passed. She left him her house (which pissed the family off including his cousin Frank) and Percy is having a hard time dealing with his grief. Just going through a break up and the loss of his Aunt, Percy wants to sell the house in a way to not deal with his feelings and run from the hurt he is feeling and assumes will feel if he gets attached.

Enter Cal who is sweet and charming and just all together swoon-worthy. His analytical brain and compassionate nature is just want Percy needs and he sets out to show Percy that he may not have the traditional family, but he has a family in his neighbors. I adored the dynamic between Percy and Cal. They were witty and sharp and I loved it. I especially adored Cal's family and how Percy and Cal were with them as well. Cal's father left when he found out his wife was pregnant and decided he couldn't deal with the "family life". Cal quit his masters program to help take care of his family and man is he doing an amazing job.

Now let's talk about this cul-da-sec. I am so freaking jealous of this little piece of neighborhood and want to find one of my own like now. The neighbor's each had their own personalities and the love and care they have for each other was awesome. The games they play and traditions are also pretty great and if places like these exist consider me on the hunt!

Ok, let's get back to Percy and Cal. As much as I adored them, I felt something missing, but just a little bit. I liked the small flashbacks we got and would have loved more of them to help establish their history. At first, when they finally have their moment and things escalate, I was like, "whoa that escalated quickly!" But then I learned more of Cal's personality and what he has been thinking for a while and it made it all OK. In the end, this was an awesome addition to the series. It made me laugh and swoon and the slow burn was oh so good.

I would recommend this book to anyone and if you haven't read the first book I would highly recommend you do. The little piece of Theo and Jamie I got had me missing them and I will be re-reading Leo Loves Aries as soon as I'm done typing. Now I get to anxiously await the next book in this series.

Percy and Cal were EVERYTHING. Between the witty banter and sexual tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, a passionate love story unfolded. Scorpio Hates Virgo is a slow burn and has a HEA that was well earned. I couldn't get enough of Cal and Percy! This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone, though I think you should also read "Leo Loves Aries".

This is everything to love about this slow burn, snarky story that is as much about family and community as it is about attraction between two boys who mistake their sarcastic banter as rivalry instead of the flirtation it is.

Everyone else around them knows the truth, but it takes a while for the stars to align and for Cal and Percy to risk their hearts and take a chance on forever. I sound like it's sappy and sweet, but nothing could be further from the truth.

It's a smouldering build up of frustration and flight. Percy wants to run. Cal doesn't understand why. Percy wants Cal to be a bit crooked (instead of straight), and Cal, well Cal has put everything on hold for his family, so he's wary of commitment. It's gloriously complicated, with anonymous online chatter, a collection of nosy neighbours, and a broken cousin (his story next? Or am I way off target there?)

This author is an auto-buy for me, so thank you and Netgalley for approving a copy in advance. It's out now, and it comes highly recommended from me. Loved it.

Book#1 in this series „Leo Loves Aries“ was my first Anyta Sunday experience back in march and since then I‘ve already read several more of her wonderful stories. I‘m still so happy I‘ve found her.

I love her slow burn romance with every book more. And even though „Scorpio Hates Virgo“ is written in 3rd person, like Theo and Jamie‘s story, and I usually prefer 1st person, I instantly connected with Percy and Cal. Percy‘s grieve and Cal‘s family situation touched me and their banter made me giggle.

„Callaghan.“ Percy said and plastered on a bored smile. „Perseus.“ „Didn‘t you waltz over just in time?“ „That‘s me. All hero-complex.“

This was an emotional read
with heart fluttering ♡
a little tearing up ♡
and laughing out loud moments ♡

I must confess, I didn‘t quite „get“ the enemy-deal in the beginning but I enjoyed it nevertheless, Percy and Cal have great chemistry and and the way Anyta Sunday showed and told their nemesis-connection made my heart beat faster with guessing and hoping.

I LOVED the definitions at the beginning of the chapters, I probably highlighted almost every one ♡
I LOVED the gnoming, Cal‘s wonderful family and just the whole cul-de-sac-gang.

Just 4,5 stars LOVED it

Percy and Cal (sweet patient Cal <3 ) stole my heart and I didn‘t want this book to end and I hope we‘ll get more of them or this series in the future.

Percy and Cal
Oke I have to confess....i love and hate slow burns from this author....
Love it because it's so beautiful, emotional and intense and hate it because it's so beautiful, emotional and intense and I can't handle the pace

A lovely story take place at the cul-de-sac.
There are families who are close and care for each other. Also Percy's aunt where he grew up....now she past away..
Percy is back...not for long, he want to sell the house....
There are neighbors who don't agree with this decision...they'll do everything to keep Percy at their cul-de-sac....especially.....Callaghan Glover

Looking outside his window he can see Cal's house. They behave like they don't like each other much....they call each other names....
Nemesis is a word you'll read a lot and oh my goodness it has the opposite meaning....

"You can lose yourself in a sea of words. You can find yourself in it too."

It's all written in the stars...

Written with humor and deep ernst, it will make you laugh and cry.
Always emotional with a longing and yearning it made my heart squeeze....
I was moved.....it was hard for me because the pace was killing...necessary but killing.
If you know this author already you will love this story. If you don't I want to recommend this one because it has so much to offer....emotions, laughter and cry...<3

Kindly received an ARC from the author's PR and Netgalley Thank you both !

This book is about two young neighbors who have had an antagonistic relationship since they day they met. Or did they? Percy (aka Perseus aka Scorpio) and Cal (aka Callighan aka Virgo) are neighbors again after both have suffered loss. The banter was great. The slow burn was fabulously frustrating. And them finally giving in to their feelings was so so satisfying.

I loved the romance. But this book is also about how much you are willing to do for your family and community of neighbors (also I want to live in their cul-de-sac please!). That's why I really found all the layers of it to be so sweet and a great read. Definitely recommend. And yes, Theo and Jamie from Leo Loves Aries make an appearance!
