This is a fun frenemies-to-lovers story! I loved the banter between Percy and Cal, Both guys met several years before and sort of rubbed each other the wrong way. Later on, (years really), Percy has to go back to the home he shared with his aunt, to prep it for sale, when he meets Cal again. The 2 men begin a slow friendship to love which is fun to watch. Both men grow in different ways - Cal, who is straight- accepts his attraction to Percy; and Percy learns to trust that not everyone leaves. Cal's family and the neighbourhood residents add to this fun story.

What can I say? I have a sappy, cheesy, happy smile adorning my face right now.
The great thing about this book (that might not be other people's cup of tea), is that it reads like fanfiction. This, coming from me, is a compliment. It is an emotional, sweet, smutty, basically angst-free book that will leave you feeling giddy and bubbly and wanting more and more.
I haven't been reading in a while because the medication I'm on takes away my motivation to do things, this book managed to push through all that. Thank you, Anyta!

As a general rule of thumb, I tend to avoid enemies-to-lovers. I just almost never find them realistic enough for my tastes. I mean how do you really go from despising someone to loving them? Bananas.
I broke my personal rule for this story, and boy am I glad I did. I gotta be fair though. This story isn't really a enemies-to-lovers even though it is tagged as such. It's more a frenemies to lovers? A I am pretending to hate you but really I love and value you as a person- to-lovers? I'm not really sure what to call it, but I do know that I loved it. It was witty, sarcastic and funny, just how I like my stories. More than once I wanted to skip through a field of lilies or something- because that's what people do when they're insanely happy, right? I don't know.
But! I do have some (constructive) criticisms. This story felt long sometimes. There were parts were I was like, "okay, I am going to put this story down right now." For me, this is not so good because I am a marathoner. I marathon shows, books, work, everything! I just sit down and finish things in one sitting. If I, of all people, had to take breaks that means that it was quite a long story. Secondly, I mean, maybe I'm a pervert, but boy did it take forever to get to the hanky panky. This isn't all bad though. A little UST is good for the soul, but I got to admit, there were times I wish I could jump into the story and smush their heads (read: lips.) together.
All in all, a great read! Not as great as the first in the series, but to be fair, Leo Loves Aries was legendary good. I've reread it like 139u939309x and want it read at my funeral if possible, so it's definitely hard to beat.

Although Scorpio Hates Virgo is the second book in the Signs of Love Series it can easily be read as a stand alone book.
Scorpio Loves Virgo was a sweet, charming and VERY slow burn romance with quirky, fun characters and lots of fun banter.
Percy and Cal are both unique and likable characters who you can help but love and root for. This book is a very slow burn with the characters not even sharing their first kiss until around the 70% part but the lead-up to getting there is lots of fun and worth it. I have to admit I don't usually like that slow of a burn but I enjoyed these characters and watching them slowly find their way to each other and flirt with each other. s
Percy is back at his aunt's house after she dies to get the house ready to sale. It's his inheritance but he just doesn't think he can live their without her. Percy was kicked out of his house for being gay and went to live with his Aunt Abby. Not only has Percy recently lost his aunt but his boyfriend of several years also just broke up with him. However, the neighborhood is very close and they are constantly reaching out to try to help him and get him to stay and no one more than Callaghan (Cal).
Cal dropped out of college when his dad left his mom, 2 younger sisters and oh yeah his mom is pregnant as well. So now he's home trying to keep his family running smoothly and reaching out to Percy at the same time. Percy keeps insisting that he wants to move and dragging Cal along to look at a new place to live. But as the two spend more time together their walls are starting to drop.
Not only does Percy grow closer to Cal but he is also very close to Cal's family and spends a lot of time with them. I really loved Cal's family and as secondary characters they added a lot to the story. I particularly loved Percy's relationship with Cal's sister. The neighbors were wonderful and lots of fun and it would be amazing to live in a neighborhood like that.
I really liked Cal and the fact that he didn't worry much about his attraction to Percy he just needed some time to think it through and make some decisions about whether he wanted to pursue it or not. Percy was a bit messed up with his worry that everyone leaves him but I enjoyed the growth and his realization at the end. There was even a sweet twist in the middle of the book that had me going back and re-reading a few parts of the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed this fun, quirky and romantic book.

Percy and Cal were EVERYTHING. Between the witty banter and sexual tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, a passionate love story unfolded. Scorpio Hates Virgo is a slow burn and has a HEA that was well earned. I couldn't get enough of Cal and Percy! This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone, though I think you should also read "Leo Loves Aries".

This is everything to love about this slow burn, snarky story that is as much about family and community as it is about attraction between two boys who mistake their sarcastic banter as rivalry instead of the flirtation it is.
Everyone else around them knows the truth, but it takes a while for the stars to align and for Cal and Percy to risk their hearts and take a chance on forever. I sound like it's sappy and sweet, but nothing could be further from the truth.
It's a smouldering build up of frustration and flight. Percy wants to run. Cal doesn't understand why. Percy wants Cal to be a bit crooked (instead of straight), and Cal, well Cal has put everything on hold for his family, so he's wary of commitment. It's gloriously complicated, with anonymous online chatter, a collection of nosy neighbours, and a broken cousin (his story next? Or am I way off target there?)
This author is an auto-buy for me, so thank you and Netgalley for approving a copy in advance. It's out now, and it comes highly recommended from me. Loved it.

Book#1 in this series „Leo Loves Aries“ was my first Anyta Sunday experience back in march and since then I‘ve already read several more of her wonderful stories. I‘m still so happy I‘ve found her.
I love her slow burn romance with every book more. And even though „Scorpio Hates Virgo“ is written in 3rd person, like Theo and Jamie‘s story, and I usually prefer 1st person, I instantly connected with Percy and Cal. Percy‘s grieve and Cal‘s family situation touched me and their banter made me giggle.
„Callaghan.“ Percy said and plastered on a bored smile. „Perseus.“ „Didn‘t you waltz over just in time?“ „That‘s me. All hero-complex.“
This was an emotional read
with heart fluttering ♡
a little tearing up ♡
and laughing out loud moments ♡
I must confess, I didn‘t quite „get“ the enemy-deal in the beginning but I enjoyed it nevertheless, Percy and Cal have great chemistry and and the way Anyta Sunday showed and told their nemesis-connection made my heart beat faster with guessing and hoping.
I LOVED the definitions at the beginning of the chapters, I probably highlighted almost every one ♡
I LOVED the gnoming, Cal‘s wonderful family and just the whole cul-de-sac-gang.
Just 4,5 stars LOVED it
Percy and Cal (sweet patient Cal <3 ) stole my heart and I didn‘t want this book to end and I hope we‘ll get more of them or this series in the future.

4.5 stars
Percy and Cal
Oke I have to confess....i love and hate slow burns from this author....
Love it because it's so beautiful, emotional and intense and hate it because it's so beautiful, emotional and intense and I can't handle the pace
A lovely story take place at the cul-de-sac.
There are families who are close and care for each other. Also Percy's aunt where he grew up....now she past away..
Percy is back...not for long, he want to sell the house....
There are neighbors who don't agree with this decision...they'll do everything to keep Percy at their cul-de-sac....especially.....Callaghan Glover
Looking outside his window he can see Cal's house. They behave like they don't like each other much....they call each other names....
Nemesis is a word you'll read a lot and oh my goodness it has the opposite meaning....
"You can lose yourself in a sea of words. You can find yourself in it too."
It's all written in the stars...
Written with humor and deep ernst, it will make you laugh and cry.
Always emotional with a longing and yearning it made my heart squeeze....
I was moved.....it was hard for me because the pace was killing...necessary but killing.
If you know this author already you will love this story. If you don't I want to recommend this one because it has so much to offer....emotions, laughter and cry...<3
Kindly received an ARC from the author's PR and Netgalley Thank you both !

I absolutely LOVED this book!! This series is so much fun!!! This book had the perfect amount of steam, and banter and angst. I am loving this author!

Percy, short for Perseus, and Cal, short for Callagan, have been “enemies” since the day they met years ago. Except there’s more to the story, and its possible that they may have just been bickering to hide how much they like each other. Its honestly adorable. Percy is facing some hard times, his beloved aunt has died and now he has to move back home to prepare to sell her house. His neighbors don’t want him to move though, and led by Cal, they try to convince Percy to stay. Its heartwarming to see him realize that he hasn’t lost everything because he still has people that love him.
Cal also has been going through a hard time: his dad left, he broke up with his longtime girlfriend, and he had to leave his master’s program. In spite of all of that, Percy is a shining light in his life that brings him joy. When they continue to bicker despite their growing attraction, you can’t help but wonder when they’ll just give up and kiss already and when they do its so satisfying. The slow burn also makes sense beyond their initial “enemy” status because Cal is demisexual. He needed all that time spent bickering to develop a physical attraction to Percy along with his romantic attraction. And let’s just say that physical attraction he develops is hawt.
All of Ms. Sunday’s romances are so sweet and this one is no exception. The horoscope aspect is not as pronounced in this one when compared to the first in the series but still has a role to play. I can’t wait to see if there is going to be more in the series, I for one, am ready for 4 more. So if you’re in the mood for a sweet HEA, then look no further.

A great frenemies to lovers story.
I find Anyta Sunday's writing quite delicious. Her humor is witty, snarky, funny and inventive; I love it! Scorpio Hates Virgo is the second book in the Signs of Love series but it can also be read as a standalone. Book one, Aries Love Scorpio, is fantastic, too so I highly recommend it as well.
Percy Freedman has come to sell his beloved Aunt's home, which he inherited when she died. All of the neighbors on the cul-de-sac think he should keep the house and live in it; even his nemesis, Callaghan Glover.
Percy has a certificate in Massage Therapy and gives great massages. Callaghan (Cal) is a student of paleontology; he's obsessed with dinosaurs. The book is liberally sprinkled with references to dinosaurs and I have to inject something personal here. The day after I finished reading this book I went on a mystery bus trip – destination unknown – we ended up at Dinosaur World. I had the best time looking at all of the replicas of various dinosaurs and remembering the various passages in the book that talked about them. This made what could have otherwise been a somewhat boring trip (I'm not crazy about dinosaurs) very interesting.
Anyta Sunday is fantastic at writing slow-burn romance. The "dance" that Percy and Cal do throughout this story, and the snarky comments they make to each other, kept me fully engaged from start to finish. Things are also made interesting by the fact that Percy thinks that Cal is straight. The book made me laugh and cry, and at times I wanted to knock some sense into Percy and Cal.
I love how the beginning of each chapter is preceded by a little teaser, for example:
percalinary
noun / per . cal . i . nary
Definition of PERCALINARY
: a reference containing words and their definitions and usage according to Percy Freedman and Callaghan Glover
: a reference explaining the implied meanings of words as used by Percy Freedman and Callaghan Glover
Example of PERCALINARY in a sentence
My first time watching Percy and Cal interact required frequent recourse to a percalinary to understand what the hell type of flirting these two were up to.
I loved this story and I hope there will be more books in the Signs of Love series.
An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.

I received this ARC for an honest review.
Can I say swoon?! I loved it! Again, Anyta Sunday put out a slow burn, tantalizing romance. I will say that I wish the "hate" between the two main characters was actually there. Mostly it was never an enemy's to lovers trope, more like an "I don't want to like you so I am going to tease you" trope.
I loved the mystery theme to the whole book. It kept me guessing and wondering along with our protagonist. Also, the author does a great job of giving the characters the correct astrology characteristics.
Overall, five stars!

Another good story from [author:Anyta Sunday|5155341], with enough angst and sex to keep you happy.
Percy and Cal where great foes and friends and well drawn characters, who drew you into the story from the start.
Two minor negatives:
1) I didn't get the Sherlock Gnomes game to start with
2) Cal's mum and sister would have benefited by having their characters defined a bit more.
Overall I'm really looking forward to reading the next instalment in this series.

Surrounded by a delightful cast of secondary characters cheering them on, Percy and Cal discover that sometimes love is right before us if only we're willing to see.

Scorpio Hates Virgo is a beautifully written slow-burn romance that I simply could not put down before I had finished reading it from cover to cover. It drew me in and kept me there unlike anything I've read recently.
It gave me the happy feels and made me smile like a lunatic because these guys were simply adorable. Their banter didn't make me laugh out loud, but it made me smile this slightly crazy happy smile. I also really, really liked the other, less important characters who were there for our heroes Percy and Cal. Cal's sister Ellie, for example, was a stroke of genius from Sunday's part, in my opinion.
The writing style seemed slightly different from Sunday's usual style and it took me a couple of chapters of getting used to, but in the end I loved the way it made me root for Percy and Cal. I loved how obvious their attraction to one another was, but I loved it even more that Sunday made them take their time and allowed the reader a chance to get a glimpse into these guys' lives and also understand what they saw in each other.
I only wish that the story had been longer and that there had been something from Cal's POV as well. Maybe an epilogue or something would've made the story even more perfect.

Scorpio Hates Virgo is a second book in the series Signs of Love (beginning with Leo Loves Aries, reviewed here). It is almost as good as the first one, but with a different plot, of course. I liked the first book better, maybe that’s just because there are Leos in it :).
Here, the two guys, Percy and Callaghan (or, mostly Cal), are ‘nemeses’. Each chapter begins with a ‘definition’ of an expression that looks like a standard dictionary description, but of course, it isn’t.
When Percy’s aunt dies, he is forced to go back to their house. He wants to sell it, but the game of Sherlock Gnomes (a neighbourly game that forces him to help neighbours and have neighbours helping him, secretly), makes him feel that maybe selling the house is not as good an idea as he thought.
Even more, his relationship with his nemesis, Cal, develops into genuine friendship and, what Percy would love, something more. We get to know why their relationship is like it is when Percy describes how he first met his neighbour. Percy fears his attraction to his straight neighbour but it turns out that he may not be so straight after all.
It is an adorable, slow burn romance, with some steamy scenes. It is perfect to read when one wants to relax and just enjoy in an easy, adorable, and sometimes hot, book.

What a treat! I wasn't entirely sure how I felt about the dictionary entry at the start, and to be honest, those never really did it for me, but other than that small detail, I loved this book. It was funny, there was clever word play, and the growing awareness between Perseus and Callahan that they couldn't consider themselves nemeses anymore had me rooting so hard for them.
This is also very much a story about grief and loss and a community, an extended family actually, coming together to help the healing process. The Sherlock Gnomes game was a ton of fun and gave great insights into all the secondary characters. I'd love to read more in this world, so I'll definitely be going back to read Theo's story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Anyta Sunday for the opportunity to read this title in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I am not even exaggerating when I say Scorpio Hates Virgo was my most anticipated m/m novel of 2017. The very second after I finished reading Leo Loves Aries, the first book in Anyta Sunday’s Signs of Love series, I was already on Goodreads trying to find out as my info as I possibly could on the sequel. And when I finally got my hands on a copy?? I guess you can say a few screams of excitement were involved.
Scorpio Hates Virgo has quite a deceiving title; this is not a book about hate – it’s a slow-burn romance between semi-nemeses who are only nemeses because they’re both too stubborn to admit the burning sexual tension between them that expresses itself in sarcasm and banter.
Percy is the Scorpio and has not had a good few months: his boyfriend broke up with him for someone else because he wasn’t “family material,” his beloved aunt – who took him in when his parents disowned him for being gay – has died, his cousin hates him because their aunt left Percy her run-down house, and now he is trying to sell said house because there are too many memories for him. But despite the sadness permeating his life, Percy is an amusing protagonist, and incredibly funny – but most importantly, sympathetic too: his entire life, the people he has loved have left him, so he has resounded himself to keeping people at a distance for his own safety. Returning to the cul-de-sac is hard for him, made doubly so by the appearance of his nemesis, Cal, who just will not leave him alone.
Aside from the fact that Cal is a grammarian – which is reason enough to love him – he is also one of my favourite Anyta Sunday characters so far. And why? Because he wears dinosaur t-shirts, he left his Masters in order to care for his family, he is super sarcastic, and he’s demipansexual. He spends a majority of the novel trying to support Percy as much as possible, and coming to understand his own feelings and sexuality.
Unlike a certain Leo from Leo Loves Aries, Percy and Cal aren’t oblivious to the blossoming romance developing between them – they have always known it was there, simmering beneath the surface of their banter, but have been too afraid to bring it to the light. Especially Percy who has had far too many heartaches and is terrified of falling for a what he believes is a straight man.
What tides the reader over is the incredibly prolonged slow-burn romance that, not even exaggerating here, takes up 90% of the novel. But I love slow-burns – the slower the better in my opinion – and was blushing at all the flirting, rapid-fire wordplay, lingering looks, “innocent” touches, massages … it was too much.
I burst out laughing when Crystal, Theo and Leone’s mother, is revealed as one of Percy and Cal’s neighbours, and then squealed in excitement when Theo and Jaime make a brief cameo. It’s so heartening to see them together and even more in love than they were in Leo Loves Aries. Oh! And MINOR SPOILER: we also got acknowledgment that Theo is bi, which was the only issue I had with Leo Loves Aries, so thank you Anyta! (Please give us more short stories about Theo and Jaime, Anyta!!!)
Scorpio Hates Virgo is not the book I thought it would be, and that is most certainly a good thing. I expected a lot of hate and angst, and instead the book was tender and soft and super nerdy, with dinosaurs and dictionaries and two headstrong, lonely men. I was in my element.
Please read this adorable novel, and follow my lead in endlessly badger the author into continuing the series. It has everything we could ever want in a Romance: humour, mischievous, longing, sarcasm, whimsy … I can’t get enough. Sunday has outdone herself once again!

I always appreciate the banter in Anyta Sunday's books, and this was no exception. Unfortunately, I couldn't get in the groove with the quirky tone of this like I did with the first book in the series, Leo Loves Aries. To me the young, almost cutesy feel works better with stories set in high school or college. I have a hard time with it when the characters are a little older. This very well may be more on me and my preferences than in this particular story, though!
