Dead ringer by V. B. Tenery.
Mercy Lawrence is terrified. Bermuda airport facial recognition software has identified her as missing runway star, Traci Wallace. Despite Mercy’s protests, Traci’s husband, ex-CIA agent Thomas Wallace, is convinced Mercy is the mother of his ill six-year-old son. With only his son’s welfare in mind, he abducts Mercy and takes her to a private island to care for the boy.

But Mercy soon discovers there are men much more dangerous than a father desperate to save his son. Her doppelganger has made deadly enemies–a relentless team of killers who now want her dead.

When Thomas is lured into a covert mission to rescue a CIA asset and uncover a government mole, Mercy is left isolated and alone–and Thomas finds himself stranded on foreign soil with a compromised mission and a wounded agent.

Fighting against a rogue nation’s timetable for launching a nuclear strike, he has to escape Saudi Arabia alive and rescue Mercy and his son before assassins finish the job they started.

This was an absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. I was hooked from the start. I loved the cover.  Spooky.  It shocked me in places too. I loved how Katy the nurse and Fergus were with each other. Made me laugh. I had no idea who the traiter was. I did not like ricco at all. I loved the ending. Perfect. 5*. Would give more if I could.  Highly recommended.

If you take the time to think about the premise of this book, it's quite scary. I mean, can you imagine going about your business, and suddenly being accosted by a total stranger accusing you of things you have never even contemplated, never mind done? Well, this is exactly what happened in this book.

Mercy is a dead ringer for Thomas dissapeared wife. Thomas grabs her from Bermuda and her life spirals out of her control. Mistaken for someone else and judged by someone else's deeds, Mercy has a tough time finding her bearings, never mind trying to convince all of them about her real identity. Meanwhile she is dodging bullets and kidnappers, while trying to save "her son", Daniel's life. Throughout all this chaos and mistaken identity she clings to her faith.

I would recommed this book to all who loves a Christian spin on a Romantic Suspense.

Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Dead Ringer is such an intense, heart pounding, bones rattling, callous, barbarous, impassioned (She turns to GOD), frightening (you enjoy being so scared for the characters you can't stop reading, you have to know what happens next - I could NOT put this book down until the end - I just couldn't bare to not know what happened next), tenderhearted (the love and care for the child), and faith(how she trusts in the LORD even through all the Kaos and misunderstandings). Imagine being Mercy - walking down the street - being pulled by the arm by some guy - gorgeous - large guy - and getting kidnapped - told you are someone else. No one helped her - they just kept walking on - The guy says you are so and so and you have such and such responsibility and you ARE going to take care of them voluntarily or forced your choice - man - what would you do? Guess what she did - she - hey I can't tell you what she did you need to get the book - it is unbelievable - it is full of intrigue and suspense and thrills - if you like a major ride this is for you - What happens to her - What happens to the mystery man that kidnaps her? what is her responsibility? Who does he think she is - and what is this major bone chilling, thrilling ride am I talking about? well you have to get the book to find out - and when you do - enjoy and expect to have time to read in one sitting - you wont be able to put it down.
