A heartfelt second chance love story that churned up all the feels yet left me smiling.
There's so much love, loyalty, and sincere caring fit into the story that, like often in a real life, is balanced with the betrayal, fraud, and disappointments.
The chemistry and bond between Cassidy James McCall and Ryder Hadley are amazing. The feelings between them are so tangible, like a visible, additional character in the book. This palpable connection between them is managed to present even though most of the time they spent together is used to fight against the awakening old, burning feelings, or with the whole town and paparazzi around them. I wish they would have had more time to get to know each other again, after the years they have spend apart. That was the only (big) thing that kept me from giving this book a five spoon recommendation.
Because when you add to this sizzling attraction a little adorable cowboy princess, a large, loving, and protective family, a tight-knit town preparing to celebrate Christmas, and you have the makings of a holiday romance that will melt your heart and make you smile - after dragging you through the emotional wringer.
A charming, delightful, and a clean Christmas story that surely will bring up the holiday spirit.

A nice sweet read. I've decided I like a little more spice in my favorite genre, but this was a good story. My interest wavered when Cassidy didn't seem to like the spotlight even though that was the biggest part of her job. I'm not sure what the purpose of the ex-agent coming to the festival was, and I was hoping there would be a epilogue or something that would show off the studio idea that Ryder had.

Admittedly I’m in love with any Christmas Romance, there is a precious magic about these stories that will always touch my heart. However, there is always a special spot for those series that I’ve followed that include a Christmas tale. Since most of what I read revolves around family and love in one fashion or another, it makes perfect sense that I enjoy visiting with characters I somewhat know over the holiday season. That’s probably why catching up with Cassidy, who is a cousin to the McCall family, was such a delightful Christmas present.

Cassidy made a choice years ago, one that set her feet on this path today. She turned her back on love and its possibilities to follow her father’s dream for her as though it were her own. Now she’s still reeling from the death of her mother, the surgery to her vocal cords and the lies that her thieving manager told her in order to take just about everything from her when she was down. Now she’s heading to a place that her heart calls home – to Gramps, her cousins and maybe some peace from the media circus that surrounds her lately. What she didn’t expect was the man she’d never stopped loving, the man she gave up so they could each follow their dreams… and now knows what a huge mistake that decision was. But maybe with some tender loving care, a little girl’s winsome ways, and a dusting of Christmas magic Cassidy and Ryder can find what they’d lost – and start their own Christmas traditions, like sticking together for good.

The Cowboy’s Christmas Bride is a touching second chance at getting it right romance. Life didn’t stop moving forward for either of them in the years apart. Lessons learned, hearts broken and mended, perhaps there was a chance that they could get “them” right this time. There’s a lot of heartache in the country music industry, and we get a taste of the struggles Cassidy has gone through to reach the heights. Now other voices mean much more to her, like one man and one little girl’s… and those are the important ones to listen to this time. It’s always fun to catch up with members of the family in a series and I was so happy to see all the brothers and their wives once again.

Whether you’re in the mood for a heartwarming Christmas romance, or a second chance at love for two people who really belong together you’ll find a fantastic story in The Cowboy’s Christmas Bride. I’d recommend Cassidy and Ryder’s romance to any reader who enjoys a good love story, touches of holiday magic and characters who leap off the page.

Cassidy and Ryder were madly in love, and good together, until they weren’t together anymore. Now they have been given a second chance, and they have not just each other to think about but also a little girl, Ryder’s five year old daughter.
The Cowboys Christmas bride was a sweet story, a feel good romance with some drama that just keeps you hooked. Ryder’s daughter, Molly was just precious as a five year old going on fifteen.
An enjoyable holiday romance

I loved this story. It's a great second chance story with a rugged cowboy who's a single father and a country music star who is dealing with some tough issues that could put her future in music at risk. Cassidy and Ryder have a history and Ryder knows that he has to be careful or he'll be back under Cassidy's spell and she'll break his heart all over again but his daughter is a big fan so spending time with Cassidy is inevitable. This is a great story as Ryder and Cassidy work through the past while trying to figure out what the future holds. Definitely a recommended read.

This was a sweet story with no sex in it all. For those wanting a clean, sweet story it will be a hit. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. I felt the writing was good, my issues were mainly with the plot and believing how much in love the couple was.

For one, I HATED the deceased wife. Who was Cassidy's former rival, and who Ryder marries weeks after proposing to her and they have a child right way together. Second it seemed like Ryder just wanted a family and any woman would do. It was hard for me to really see him as a love interest after that.

And that was my issue with the plot. Its a big issue and so it took away from my enjoyment of this story. Beyond that the daughter was adorable, though little cowgirl princess kinda became too much for me at some point. And I really liked Cassidy. She is probablly the only part of the book I really liked.

It was well written and my issues were mainly with the plot with the deceased wife and how fast Ryder moved in a new relationship after Cassidy told him she didn't love him.

The Cowboy's Christmas Bride by Laurie LeClair is the fourth book in the McCall Brothers Series. However, all the brothers are happily married so Gramps set his sites on their cousin, Cassidy, a country music song writer and singer. She has come for a four-week Christmas visit. Former boyfriend, now single father Ryder is the one for Cassidy. Gramps and his darling kindergarten daughter agree.

Sweet story with enough drama and regrets to keep the couple apart along with reporters galore. As usual with the McCall family in Honor, Texas, the conclusion is an over the top. No one does things half way there so love is declared in a big public way. Gramps is a happy camper every time that happens. I think I would miss it if the McCall stories ended any other way. I know my favorite character, Gramps would.

Book four in the series has Cousin Cassidy James McCall a country music star coming into town to find herself after the death of her mother, her voice, and what she thinks is her career. Her manager has done some under handed deals while she was grieving and took advantage of her. Now going to a place with Gramps and her cousin’s she is looking for a safe place. What she finds though is her lost love that she threw away only to find out that he married and has a daughter, and that the mother, wife passed after Molly was a year old. Now she is looking at what could have been. All of the characters from the other books are in this one which makes for a nice story to see where each of the brothers her cousins are with their wife’s. What really makes this story though is Ryder, Cassidy’s lost love and his daughter Molly. Molly is a hoot and really catches you from the beginning all the way to the end. A really good story to go along with the other books in the series.

With each new McCall story it's like going home. There's a certain comfort in the stories that only Ms LeClair can provide. The latest story for Ryder and Cassidy truly drove home that love and family can help you overcome any obstacle together.

The tug of the heartstrings was driven by sweet little girl Molly, who literally stole the show...or more accurately the story. The interactions between Ryder and Cassidy, after years apart nearly brought tears for their second chance.

Having the characters from the previous stories, who captured our hearts each and every time, be a part of each story, a trademark of Ms LeClair's I have definitely enjoyed... especially Gramps as the grand matchmaker along with Sweet Potato, keeps us tied to Honor, Texas and its wonderful characters. I sincerely hope that this is not the end of the series, or perhaps a new one involving the Laramie cousins.
