I loved the premise for The Little Cornish Kitchen from the gorgeous desserts to the romance aspect. Clemmie is an interesting character and in a way it took me a few chapters to warm to her. However she is a guarded person due to her past and I really enjoyed how Jane Linfoot brought her to life especially with her feisty nature. In this story Clemmie surrounds herself with her old friends and reluctantly connects with her past. Charlie is also a character who develops perfectly and I loved how more layers to his personality were revealed as the story progressed.

There are secrets, family drama and a simmering romance that all plays out wonderfully. This group of friends or should I say mermaids are so supportive and left me smiling on multiple occasions. I have to admit that there were a few tears but there were happy tears too! I will mention that before you pick up this book make sure you get settled with a large cup of tea and a selection of cakes. I was getting hungry just reading about the gorgeous descriptions of food. I may have gone out and bought brownies too, shh! The great thing is that I can even make Clemmie's brownies at home now along with some other delicious goodies with the help of some lovely recipes at the end of the book.

After getting to know the characters and feeling a lovely connection to the story I was a little sad to see this book finish. It's an uplifting, warm and romantic story that was a real pleasure to read. Jane Linfoot always creates the most gorgeous stories and The Little Cornish Kitchen showcases food, love and friendship. It really is the perfect treat!

Five stars from me!

I received an Advanced Reader Copy from NetGalley for my unbiased opinion of the book. Clemmie Hamilton, who is coming to St. Aidan for a little vacation, finds out her grandmother left her with an apartment that is trying to pull out under from her neighbor and newly found out half-brother. While trying to raise money to do repairs and get back to Paris as quickly as possible. She realizes she needs come up with a large sum of money in a short period of time. Armed with lifelong friends help and her grandmother recipes, she turns her apartment into a pop-up dating and dessert venue. While trying to keep the secret from her neighbor Charlie, avoiding her stepbrother, and her past issues. She realizes she loves to bake and is good at it!!! I enjoyed the story very much even though some spots seemed to drag. I loved how things turned out in the end!

Another great book from Jane Linfoot.

Clemmie is back from Paris and in Cornwall for a few weeks to sort out the flat she was left years ago in her Grandmothers will. From talking to her friends she is worried that the flat is under threat from a property developer who will knock down the old building to build new modern flats. Once she visits the flat she falls in love with it - just a shame her next door neighbour is the developer, Charlie.
She needs a way to make money while she is in Cornwall, so starts to run a series of supper clubs with her friends. And the more time she starts to spend with Charlie with she starts to fall for him, so what will happen when it is time for her to return to Paris?

I have always loved janes book and she didn't disappoint at all full of fun an easy read and laugh out loud romantic and of cause about fun you really want to keep reading to see what happens a great read and lovely to be back in Cornwall you really think you are there. Jane has great characters and perfect countryside and lovely to hear about the food she cooks and imagine you are eating them. Great it has recipes in the back to extra bonus. Highly recommend this book to read.
Clemmie has been living in France for years but has to return to her home town of Cornwall after her grandmother has died. She reality doesn't want to return home but once she realises her mother has left her a cosy cottage but that it's in disrepair and learns it's under threat from the neighbour Charlie who is also a property developer and wants his hands on the cottage can she change her mind. She starts to get me,erioes of her childhood there and learns she can't leave the cottage when it needs her. She turns it into the little Cornish kitchen a boutique pop up pudding club so she can raise money for the repairs but sadly she keeps getting charmed by Charlie and he won't go away so does everything end up going wrong or can she be happy and save the cottage.
A great simple read and makes you think of the seaside.

Where should I begin with this wonderful delicious novel from the most talented author Jane Linfoot. A stunning fabulous read that I couldn't put down.
We begin with Clemmie who returns back to St Aidan on the Cornish coast to come home to where Laura her Grandma lived and most recently died.
It's a beautiful setting at seaspray cottage over looking the coast on the top floor of the apartments. Her neighbour wants to buy her out because he has the whole top floor and that's not what she wants of course.
Charlie Hobson is a good baker and he and Clemmie begin baking for her single groups of get togethers to make single people get together... as well at match making she has found some family heirlooms she never knew existed such as photos of her parents... letters. Then .... other family members are looking for her but who are they? This is a mix of Mary berry baking school and long lost family and first dates rolled into one set in cornwall.
I just love Jane's books, her style is so true to life and not so wildly out there like others. The romance of it isn't too loud either it's simple and really romantic...
Clemmie doesn't live in Cornwall but in Paris and she has to go back sooner or later but she realises Cornwall is her home. She misses baking with Charlie the neighbour, and just the ocean from her windows so she's goes home to find all her friends happy and Charlie is happy too. Her friend has bought a castle, not just any castle either and they make Clemmie have the Cornish kitchen a work of art just like this novel
Loved it.
Thank you to netgalley Harper Impulse and Jane Linfoot for such a wonderful book.

Clemmie first meets Charlie after he accidentally wrecks her mermaid costume at a party with her friends. She can't wait to escape St. Aidan, until she inherits her sort of great grandma's seafront house. Of course, Charlie is her new neighbour much to Her delight...

Her friends, Sophie, Plum and Nell all offer to help her transform her new place on the seafront into a kitchen as everyone would love the sea view on offer as well as cake and drinks. After practising, they come up with some fantastic treats and set theme nights for them too. It takes off to a great success but what do the builder's want to do with the building development wise?

There's also the case of finding out about her family mpre, especially her dad and his side of the family and a half brother looking for her...

But can she afford building work to keep the seafront kitchen open or will she be pulled back to Paris and her job there, just how will she feel about leaving her friends, family and Charlie and Diesel his dog she loves too?

This was a story full of hope as Clemmie settles in to a life different to her normal in Paris. Discovering love and friendship she sews herself into the community and proves how everyone can help each other and become great friends and have fun too!

There's sweet romance, sweet treats, cute dogs and life drama set in a coastal beauty spot, imagine yourself at The Little Cornish Kitchen and fall in love with this story as each chapter is full of intrigue and action you don't want to miss!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
