Lindeen’s Earth Science: Water is a early reader book all about that most vital of life’s resources. Readers will learn about where water can be found, the forms precipitation can take, and the states it exists in. At the back is a 'Connecting Concepts’ section for parents or teachers to work with the child on the material read.

This is a fairly quick read, and a good teaching tool for learning all about water and its forms. The nature pictures are beautiful!

***Many thanks to Netgalley and Norwood House Press for providing an egalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book gives a great picture of what was is, does and can be used for. It will be a perfect addition to our water study in preschool. I hope it will inspire thinking and learning at the same time.

Water by Mary Lindeen is an informative, non-fiction book in the Earth Science Series. The book provides an interesting way that is easy for children to understand about forms of water, where it is found and how humans get water in their diet. This is also an early reader book so will also help to reinforce reading skills and build confidence. At the back of the book it lists the high frequency words as well as content words that can be pre-taught or discussed if the book is being read aloud. There are facts given during the reading accompanied by wonderful photographs. The section at the back for parents and teachers gives suggested activities for connecting concept as well as resources for further investigation. A good book for a primary classroom learning about the earth and water.
