The Penthouse Pact starts off with a bang...or a bump...depends on how you look at it.  HA!  This new Contemporary Billionaire Romance will treat you into the world of Parker and Layla.  He's a serious, brooding "stuck up suit.'  She's a barista.

Circumstances force these two together.  It's not necessarily a bad thing.  Layla just wants to be left alone and Parker is determined to take care of her.  She needs to work but he wants to keep her off her feet.  I mean, being run over can't be a picnic.  Though the bill collectors won't care that you can't pay though.  They want their money regardless, right?

Parker just wants to take care of Layla since he accidentally ran over her.  His attraction to her started long before he took her home from the hospital after the incident.  She didn't realize he noticed her...boy did he.

This story read quickly for me.  If you enjoy Billionaire Romances this is one you should check out.

This was an enjoyable several hours read. Nothing too heavy, drama free and light. (No, there's sex - don't freak). I probably won't really remember it in a month, but while I was reading it I found myself entertained and stress free....and happy!!! If that's what you're looking to read then you should definitely pick this up. You won't be disappointed.

I love a geeky billionaire with questionable social skills finally gets a chance with the woman of his dreams. This is exactly what I loved about The Penthouse Pact.

Parker has spent his life working at and running his IT empire. He's too busy to fall in love, too busy to have a life outside of work. Until he finally runs—literally—into Emmy.

Emmy's just trying to make it through the day. She's working too many hours, spending long hours studying, and there are just no hours left for romance. Until Parker and his ability to insinuate himself underneath her skin, into her life and into her heart.

I truly enjoyed the whole set up of this fun new series. I loved the premise behind the pact. Parker and Emmy were adorable together—they and their relationship really worked for me! I'm looking forward to more!

I thought this was a cute read. Layla gets hit by the car that Parker is driving on his way to see his mom in the hospital. He knows her as the barista at his favorite coffee shop. He feels bad for what he did and takes it upon himself to start to take care of her. as the story goes along these 2 start to have feeling for each other and a little surprise comes into play. Over all it was a cute story and i would like to read more from this author.

Parker Braxton AKA "Brax" to his friends, ran literally into Layla. He thinks she makes the best coffee in the world, and wonders why others cannot do it right like she can. Now, he feels responsible for her and wants to take care of her. The attraction he is fighting is killing him. The sparks are sure flying between them.

Layla had no idea that her customer, the famous billionaire himself, knew her name. When he ran into her - she thought they would both just walk away. She really does not like others telling her what to do. She has a dream to get back to.

This book starts out with a bang. You can feel the tension between the MC's and it just builds from there. Such a great story with a little humor, heat, banter, and tension. I think it is a good balance and a great read.

I received an arc from NG for review purposes.

Parker is arich guy with no time for fun until he runs over Layla, his barista a poor college student. He feels so bad and drags her to the hospital to be checked out. There she is told she cant work and he has a concussion. Once Parker realises where she lives and that she has n0 one to take care of her. He decides to do it.

This was a great friends to romance storyline between a rich busy guy and the poor college student and it 100% works. I really loved the writing and the characters and this story.

4.5 Stars!

Solid storytelling and hot sex is what Cathryn Fox does best. Her latest offering, The Penthouse Pact, is about two completely opposite characters that find love by accident.

Layla Fallon is a full-time student working in a coffee house to pay her tuition, rent, and late mother's medical bills. Parker Braxton is a software developer worth billions. Everyday Layla greets him with a hot cup of his favorite java. En-route to get to his mother in the ER, Parker hits Layla with his car. And from that point on, Layla and Parker are basically inseparable.

Layla and Parker are a hot couple. They have always been attracted to each other, but did nothing to expand their desires. Layla is surprised to learn how kind and gracious Parker is, since his reputation is that of a hard ass. Layla's generosity towards others is amazing, considering her her own financial woes. Due to their respective histories, they both do not believe in love, yet they make it work with each other. Furthermore, Parker's pact with his bachelor buddies to never say "I Do" only adds to his hesitance about love.

This is the first book from The Bachelor Pact series and it can be enjoyed as a standalone. This is a well-written escape that may even change your mind about book boyfriends.

Who knew getting run over could lead to true love?!

Layla & Parker are opposites in every way, yet their attraction to each other seems to obliterate every single obstacle to their being together. As they grow closer, Parker appreciates how much her being in his life is improving his. Is it enough, though, when the past seems to repeat itself? Will he decide to forego his pact and make Layla his own promise?

This is a sweet and sexy romance that has the "aww" factor nailed down.

Everything about him embodied control as he pushed the food to the other side of the big island, put his hands around her ribcage and lifted her like she weighed nothing. As her sock clad feet dangled over the counter, he stepped up to her, his big presence making her feel so little. Reaching around her he grabbed the bandage supplies, then glanced down at the gray pair of sweatpants he’d give her to stay warm.

“Your pants. I can’t get at your knee.”

“Right.” She laid back and lifted her hips, shimming her pants down her thighs until her knees were exposed. The long dress shirt he’d give her kept her covered up from the thighs up.

He grabbed a fist full of his hair. “Ah, that will work too.”

“What?”

“You could have just pulled them up from the ankle.”

“Oh right.”

Gawd, I am so freaking stupid.

What the hell had she been thinking? Here she was showing her damn innocence in front of a rich, sophisticated man with more sexual experience in his pinkie than she had in her entire body. Sure, there was that one time she’d fooled around with Jimmy Rayburn after school, but other than that clumsy groping incident, she was pretty damn dense when it came to things like this.

And she didn’t even have any panties on.

She reached for the band of her pants to pull them back up, but he stopped her. “Don’t,” he commanded his voice brusque and harsh.

“Don’t what?”

As he stood over her, oozing sex and power, he bit out, “Don’t lay back like that ever again.”

“Oh, okay.”

She looked over his face, took in the deep concentration lines around his eyes as he bent to examine her knees. He might be taking care of her cuts, but the way he was looking at her felt very personal. Too personal. The sooner she got away from him and out of his penthouse the better. Here she thought she’d stay and torture him, but the only one being tortured was her as he studied her with those intense eyes, making her feel so needy…aroused. Damn him.

You can always be sure that Cathryn Fox will take a story and give you exactly what you want! This is one that was a joy to read! It was sexy, real, adorable, engaging, sweet..... I could go on and on! I loved how simple and easy the story flowed. Maybe that's because it was so well written?? In any case, it was an alluring read!

Parker Braxton, billionaire, literally drives into Layla Fallon, student and barista, taking her down. Parker wants to help her-and she refuses-multiple times. But Parker is insistent-it's the right thing to do. He didn't get to be where he was by not getting his way. So he doesn't give Layla any choice.

Layla is drowning in student debt. And now that she has to be off work, she's upset. She's not afraid of working hard. Not having anyone else to help, she's only ever been able to rely on herself. Should she let Parker help her?? It doesn't hurt that he's the hottest and surprisingly kind guys she's met!
But she can't take advantage can she?? Parker sees she won't take his charity, so he starts bargaining for her services. He will pay her overdue rent and she cooks him meals for a week. And other bargains like that. Layla feels she's paying off the debt, and Parker doesn't get to see her leave him anytime soon!

I loved the way this story unfolded! It had a nice flow. There wasn't any huge angst, side plot, or outside influence which was totally refreshing! So many times there is some needless side story thrown in that does nothing for the main story. I enjoyed this centering on these two alone and only these two. I felt more endeared to them and vested in their future! Their love unfolding was beautiful to watch happen!

The Penthouse Pact by Cathryn Fox is the story of Parker Braxton and Layla Fallon.
Layla is a young college student working a full time job and trying to get by. Parker is a young rich business man who is hard nosed about everything. But when he anciently hits his car into Coffee Barista named Layla he start showing another side. Parker and his college buddies had made a pack never to marry and if the do they had to give each a large sum of money. Parker was so sure of himself but Layla is making him start to feel totally different. Layla isn't a yes person and isn't really impressed with his money....she just wants to work hard and get through college.
I really enjoyed seeing these two come together.

Story is about a billionaire (Parker), who is a self proclaimed bachelor and wants nothing to do with relationships or marriage until he accidentally hits Layla, who also doesn’t want to have anything to do with relationships, with his car. Couple of slow spots in the book, but overall a pretty good story. Layla became a broken record when it came to her not wanting Parker to help her, and her thinking about working against him kind of came from out of left field, but I really enjoy this authors books, and when she gives me full length books, I’m a very happy camper.

Loved this one! These characters are amazing and the author did a great job developing their relationship. Parker "Brax" Braxton is a driven man. Just as his employees with their list of special names reserved just for him. With no time or desire for a relationship he's as surprised as anyone when he finds himself drawn to Layla. Sure she's only staying at his place because he almost killed her but she makes him want things he's never wanted before. She makes him forget about business and think about fun. Is she the one to change his never getting married mindset??

This book is very well done. Surprising low on the heat for this author but high on the romance. Definitely a book I recommend.

Back in college, five jaded friends made a pact that if any of them ever got married they would have to pay each friend a million dollars. They agreed it would make any of them think twice about getting married only to get divorced later.

The Penthouse Pact is Parker Braxton's story. The story starts out where he is rushing to the hospital because his mom has been admitted, when he literally hits Layla with his car. He knows Layla because she is the one that hands him his coffee every morning before work at Uncommon Ground coffee shop.

Parker is so stressed about his mom, he forces Layla into his car and takes her to the hospital to check her over for a concussion against her wishes. Layla is barely scraping by. She's trying to get her degree and work full time. She can't afford the hospital visit or to miss any work and classes. Too bad Parker doesn't give her a choice.

I loved this! It was a light, fun read and just what I needed! Parker pretty much kidnapped Layla and forced her to rest because he felt so guilty. While he was pretty forceful, I wouldn't say he was domineering. He just wanted to take care of her mostly because of the guilt he felt for hitting her with his car.

I loved Layla's character. She was a bit too independent but her resistance with Parker wasn't over the top or annoying. Their chemistry was spot on and the banter just added to the fun of the story. This is the type of book I wish I can find more of. I highly recommend it. ARC provided by NetGalley.

This story by Cathryn Fox was great. Her characters make the story so much more interesting. Sexy, arrogant, pushy & stuck up billionaire Parker really makes you want to dislike him, but you can’t because he’s actually got a heart of gold. Layla is a sassy, sweet, innocent college student & barista that doesn’t ever want to have to depend on a man for anything. When circumstances put Layla in Parker’s line of site more than normal she realizes that sometimes you just have to let go. I enjoyed the chemistry between them, as well as the bickering & posturing that each did to get their way. The differences between them were many but that didn’t stop the feelings from coming out to play. Definitely recommend to read. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

The Penthouse Pact is a sensual and uplifting story of two scarred hearts finding love and trust in each other after they are thrown together in an unfortunate accident. They are determined not to fall in love. After all it's going to cost millions and risk everything.
I loved The Penthouse Pact. I expected to enjoy it because Ms Fox is a favorite author of mine and I love her writing, but I wasn't expecting to be quite so swept away by Parker's tenderness and Layla's independence. This story gave me happy, bubbly feelings of joy and glee from the very beginning to the last word. It was an utterly satisfying read.
Parker was so much more than his reputation. He's know as Seattle's most eligible bachelor but also many other much less savory names by the people who work for him because of his high expectations and demands. It was wonderful to get to know the man beneath the reputation. The one who dropped everything to race to the hospital because his mom had been admitted. The one who was so distracted by his worry for his mom that he hits Layla with his car. And most importantly, the one who insists on caring for Layla because he took responsibility for his actions and she had no one else to turn to. Once you get to know Parker, he's kind, caring and generous. He doesn't expect recognition for the good deeds he performs. Yes, he's also broody and bossy, and he bullies Layla into doing what's best for her when she insists on being stubbornly independent even though she's in no state to take care of herself. But most of all, he's a good man. I particularly liked that he was upfront with Layla right from the beginning. He was honest about himself and where they stood as a couple. It's a good thing he broke all his own rules.
Layla was delighted. She's strong-minded, independent and determined not to depend on a man for her well being. And yet she trusts Parker to care for her, even as she resists and argues every step of the way. Layla carries a lot of hurt in her because of her upbringing and her past, and like Parker, she's pretty upfront about how she feels about men and relationships in general. She's hell bent on taking care of herself and providing for herself even as she struggles daily to make ends meet. Except Parker throws all her plans out the window as she finds herself fighting against falling for him.
Both Parker and Layla's honesty really resonated with me. I loved the way Ms Fox handled their relationship and what drove them apart at one point. Parker was level-headed and insightful, while Layla was a little frightened but very honorable. It made me want to cheer for them even more and see them get their happy ending.
This is a brilliant start to the series and I can't wait to see which one of Parker's buddies within the pact falls next.

Parker and Layla are not strangers to each other. Though the only conversation between them has been ordering and delivering coffee. But all that changes, when Parker accidentally hits Layla with his car and ends up bringing her to his home to recuperate. But all his care and concern for Layla is there just because he ran her over or is there something more ?
The penthouse pact is a sweet, sexy, enjoyable and easy read. The story just seemed to flow and leaves you with a smile and a sigh :).
Can’t wait to see what Ms Fox has in store for us next in this series.

I really enjoyed this book. The start of the story was quite unexpected and the it was certainly not a typical love story. It had all the elements, humor, attraction, sex, chemistry and a bit of drama. A lot of fun !!

Fantastic story from Cathryn, I really loved this one. Parker Braxton, confirmed bachelor for life or pay each of his college buddies a cool mil each, some pact they made to keep them from getting screwed by women after their money. That made me laugh. Parker is Seattle's most eligible bachelor owner of a large software company and his employees have a long list of names for him. None of them kind or generous. His face stuck to his phone, he hits the same coffee shop everyday ordering his usual served up by the same girl, Layla. Layla works there and is in senior year of college and truly lives hand to mouth. Rent past due, no winter coat and worried about her final semesters tuition, she needs her job.
Rushing out the door with his face in his phone Brax has been called once again to the local ER for his mother. When he gets a text while driving, that once again his mother has indigestion he feels his car hit something. Cursing he jumps out and it's our lovely Layla. That's how we meet this wonderful character. Layla is hurt, aside from the obvious slight externals, she may likely have a concussion and he insists on taking her to the hospital. She fights him tooth and nail. He finally picks her up and physically puts her in his car, carting her off to the hospital. When she leaves without a place to go and he catches her he takes her home with him, much to her dismay. They do stop at her place to get a few things and while she's gathering a few pieces of clothing, she can hear him rifling through her cupboards. Which are basically bare.
Home they go to his oversized penthouse that is sterile and a real eye opener for her. He passes it off, saying he doesn't spend much time there. He tells her he's just keeping an eye on her overnight, which turns into a couple days, then a week and on we go.
This book has the best delicious slow burn and I loved it. When the fire ignites, it's smoking hot. Loved the characters and really liked Layla and Parker as she called him.
It's a fantastic read and go ahead because you'll miss out on a great story if you pass this by.
