A light but twisty and fun read - perfect for a holiday. Lots of humour, bendy plot hijinks and suspense - if you like chick-lit with a side of darkness, then this should be right up your street.

A highly recommended read with excitement that will have you turning the pages as fast as possible from beginning to end. Full of intrigue and twists with a good of dose of reality, this is a fabulous and enjoyable read.

Sarah wants to be an investigative journalist so when she gets a chance she seized it with both hands. She has recently been left by her long term boyfriend and is worried about keeping her house. Everything depends on this job. A great read. Fast paced and with a few twists and turns.

This is a light read, which was good as otherwise I would not have finished it.
Unfortunately there are far better reads and better authors about.
Just not for me.

Another great little holiday read that transports you into another world where you can visit Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Venice without leaving your sunbed!
Fashion reporter Sarah turns investigative reporter after a strange encounter with the lead singer of a famous rock band leaves her high and dry after a 1-night stand that never was! Sarah manages to persuade her boss to let her follow the story that takes her across Europe in pursuit of the truth with her ex-boyfriend's photographer best friend...
I was pleasantly surprised at this book as it wasn't the typical chic-lit type story i was expecting and I enjoyed it very much!
Many thanks to netgalley for an arc in return for an honest review.

Brilliant! I couldn’t put it down. It romped along, all around Europe. More Sarah Burrowes please.

I enjoyed Hot Pursuit - it’s easy reading chick lit, a good story with lots of twists and turns and excitement, but extremely far fetched!

Thrilling, humorous and a real page-turner. A wannabe journalist tricks her way into the pursuit of a big story for a magazine; the story ends up with a chase of a drugs cartel, rock star, corrupt police and travels all over Europe. Spiced up with a broken heart, unlikely love found with the photographer and heaps of action. A truly great read!

The first time I have read a novel written by Rebecca Freeborn and I really enjoyed it. It was a fun read and would certainly encourage me to read another.
I especially enjoyed the European setting, following Sarah as she follows the big popstar around. Also enjoyed her relationship with Nick, he was my favourite character. A fab holiday read, not to be taken too seriously.

Your average romance novel doesn’t usually have the feistiest lead female, a murder suspect and international drug cartels but they’d be way better if they did! Absolutely loved this book, it has a brilliant balance of slush, suspense and sexy frisson. Recommend!

Love this, highly recommend! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC. Once I started it, I couldn’t put the story down. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Quick and easy, light read, quite funny in places. Not my usual genre but perfect for the holidays. Sarah was a great character and I enjoyed following her adventures.

I really enjoyed this novel. It was fast paced and descriptive, allowing the reader to feel as if they were actually in the various locations, and experiencing the sights and sounds as they unveiled. The characters seemed real and really brought the novel to life. I'm glad the two main pair ended on a high and would love to see their story continue in a sequel,? Thanks to Netgalley, the Publishers and of course Rebecca Freeborn for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Hot Pursuit - Rebecca Freeborn
Rebecca Freeborn’s fresh, clever and engaging writing style will transport you on a thrilling European adventure alongside protagonist Sarah Burrowes.
Yeah, not so much! If I’m honest I didn’t make it passed chapter three. Chapter Three the beginning of the End! Rebecca’s writing style didn’t transport me to a thrilling European. If anything my attention kept wondering until I put the book down, it wasn’t very engaging.
Sarah is a former beauty therapist who doesn’t wear make-up. She’s a wannabe journo for gossip magazine Women’s Choice, but she knows nothing about celebrities. And now the love of her life has run out on her leaving her with a mortgage to handle on her own.
Doesn’t that sound intriguing, a woman who hasn’t quite found herself. Someone not allowing herself to be pigeonholed and then throw in a bit of heartbreak. Doesn’t that sound like the beginning of a great novel? That’s why I picked the novel.
What was disappointing was that Sarah doesn’t have a backbone, she flitters between things and is so dull and self obsessed it’s annoying.
Sarah lands herself the assignment of a lifetime in Europe, with the gorgeous but egocentric photographer, Nick, who just happens to be her ex’s best friend.
Yeah - he’s a douche as well. No endearing qualities that I could find BUT I did stop reading at chapter three.
Appealing to the empowered women’s fiction audience, Hot Pursuit, at its core, is a story about realising your potential. It explores what happens when the expectations we have in life don’t match up to reality – an experience that many generations know all too well.
Was it?!? It was meant to empower me? How? By boring the tits off me (sorry that was unkind) HOW was this story meant to be realising your potential? If anything things dropped into Sarah’s lap i.e. the randomly meeting and hooking up with a Scottish Rockstar!!! Just before an assignment for said Rockstar popped up!!!
Ok - she did have to stalk him across Europe BUT if she was a better journalist surely she’d have, you know - handled this better?!
Maybe my problem is that I watch Ibiza with Richard Madden and that had a better story plot (and in all honesty that actually that great a movie)
Sarah Burrowes is ambitious but has underestimated herself for too long. Reinventing herself, she takes charge, embraces new challenges and fights to make her own destiny. This is a perfect holiday read.
I give it a 1 star ⭐️ and did not finish.

Good, fast paced mystery that gave a flavour of Australia, Spain, Italy and Amsterdam. Very enjoyable with a surprising outcome. I would highly recommend this book

This was a lot of fun. Its a light easy read that had me chuckling away to myself in bed whilst i was reading it. Would read other books by this author.

Enjoyed this book it was a good lighthearted read. Sarah the heroine is having a really bad time of things. She ends up on an adventure of a lifetime. At the start of the story Sarah is a journalist that wants to do some serious journalism not the frothy stuff she is currently writing. She is broke and broken hearted but as the story unfurls she is hot footing all over Europe to unravel some dodgy dealings.

I found this title on the off chance on Netgalley and I'm so glad I did. I really enjoyed the intrigue and mystery of the plot, which wasn't too serious, but still gripping and the locations were just fabulous. Romance suspense isn't my normal read, but this had me hooked and I'll certainly be looking out for this author in the future.

Fast paced and entertaining read.
A will-they won't they romance and also a mystery thrown in to the story - both keep you guessing till the end of the book.

The blurb promised so much that the book just couldn't deliver - i found the characters clunky and childish and I just didn't understand the attraction to Nick. Just a bit meh.
