The book was okay, and I would have liked it much better, but it ends totally open. I can't even say a cliffhanger because it's a little more like something happened and we never have the rest of the story.
I liked the conflict, and the premise would have worked if the book hadn't just ended abruptly.

I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book from Net Galley. All opinions expressed are entirely my own and this review is left of my own free will.

Primary Anomaly is a dystopian sci-fi thriller that immediately captures your attention on page one with the descriptions of the Habitat community. The story line takes off with Duke, who is tasked with collecting men for the start of a new military project that is using advanced genetic technology to create a new "solider" for the Corporation army. The story centers on one of the men, Three, who is taken by Rebels and who eventually begins to fight against the totalitarian government. There were many strengths in this story. The character descriptions and story lines, particularly at the beginning, were intricate and well-developed for a complex story. Each chapter transitioned from vantage points, which left you hanging on for each character, whether you were cheering them on or cursing their name. Duke's character was a particular favorite to read. You can't imagine a world like this without the descriptions of the author. I enjoyed most of the book, but the Rebels language and the twists and turns with Jared and the assassin left me confused sometimes. If you like action books, this is one to pick up.
