I was excited by the synopsis of this story and I love a great Alpha male character but unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me. I was a frustrated until about the 50% mark where it got marginally better. There were a few subplots with other characters that felt a bit disjointed as I had not read the previous books in the series. This is marketed as a series of stand-alones but I feel like I would have enjoyed this a lot more had I read the previous stories. I also would have connected better with the secondary characters and the subplot lines.

There was a lot of potential for this story to be a little deeper but it unfortunately fell short. I didn’t feel very connected to either of the characters and in fact wanted to reach into my kindle and give the heroine a good hit to her head. I really wish I had enjoyed this book more.

I really enjoyed reading Hannah and Aiden's story. I wasn't sure if I would like Hannah but I ended up loving her just as much as Aiden. It was an emotional read for me and I loved how they compliment each other.

Only With You is the fourth book in Nicole McLaughlin's Man Enough series, and the second book of the series I read. I really liked the first book All That I Ask and even though I was slightly disappointed that Jase and Hannah didn't end up together, I appreciated the fact that it was more realistic because it allows us to see Hannah develop as a character on her since she has to deal with the fact that her twin sister is dating the man who was her closest friend and confidant. Only With You was a super, slow burn romance that isn't as light and fluffy as All I Ask was. Instead, it touches on some serious trauma and the obstacles they can pose in a relationship. That's why I wish we got to see more of Hannah and Aidan actually dealing with his trauma and working through their relationship instead of just reading about the problems and skipping forward to a neatly tied up ending. Overall an okay read but definitely not a favorite.

An awesome emotional read that I could not put down. Aiden and Hannah have been friends for awhile. Aiden has always liked Hannah but he has some deep buried secrets that have prevented him from dating. Hannah has had a failed engagement and now wants to find her one true love that you find in the movies. As Hannah gets closer to Aiden, Aiden keeps her at arms way. Can they figure this out?

Loved this story! Loved how Hannah never gave up on Aiden, and finally Aiden realized what he wanted out of life. Loved the Kansas connection!! I must admit, I shed a few tears while reading. Highly recommend this book, even though part of a series can be read as a stand alone.

This is the fourth book in this series and I didn’t read the other books but was able to follow along. With each book featuring a different couple they can be read as a standalone.

It was hard for Hannah to watch her best friend Jase fall in love with her twin sisters. She knew it would change the dynamics of their friendship.

Aiden has always had a crush on Hannah but never acted on it with Jase being his good friend. Aiden is going to try and see if things will go anywhere with him and Hannah now that he knows there is nothing more than friendship between her and Jase.

This was a sweet romance that pulled at my heartstrings.

Contemporary Romance

Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming – Present Day

Aiden King has been attracted to Hannah Walters for a while but has kept his distance because she was involved with his best friend. However, they break up and his friend gives Aiden the green light to pursue Hannah. He will do just about anything for her, including make her favorite meal for her at his bar. At this point, they’re just good friends, but after Hannah offers to go with Aiden on a road trip so that he can meet his estranged mother, will things change?

Hannah has always fallen hard for men who weren’t right for her and she now plans to step back until she finds “the only one.” Her friendship with Aiden fills the gap between romances—or so she thinks until she realizes that she values him as more than a friend. Aiden is quiet and doesn’t push himself on her, which makes her a tad antsy. Most any man would jump at the chance to bed her but he does everything except make love to her. Does he have an aversion to sex? If so, why?

ONLY WITH YOU features the fourth tale of the National Guardsmen best friends in the Man Enough series by Nicole McLaughlin. Readers who have read SHOULD’VE BEEN YOU will remember Hannah as the self-centered twin who kept her sister Becca apart from Jase for years by lying about something that was supposedly said. All is well now but the experience has Hannah stepping back to look at how she approaches love. Meanwhile, Aiden is there, another good friend to lean on. But somewhere along the way, she realizes it’s more than friendship she wants.

Aiden’s mother gave birth to him at the age of fifteen and literally abandoned him to her mother. His grandmother wasn’t the most loving of people, but she was his relative. After she dies, Aiden goes through her papers and realizes it’s time to find his mother. When Hannah offers to go with him on a trip to where his mother lives in Wyoming, will their friendship develop into something more? But Aiden has a deep secret that is painful to discuss and it’s affected his relationships with other women. Can he open up to Hannah? I won’t go into what his secret is because it’d be a spoiler but after finally meeting his mother it’s soon revealed they share something more than a family bond.

ONLY WITH YOU is an emotional book and as it reaches its satisfying climax readers will be cheering Hannah and Aiden on. Their romance is slow to build but even you will see their future together is inevitable. Prepare to both laugh and cry as they finally fall in love on their rocky road to a happily-ever-after.

The men in Nicole McLaughlin’s Man Enough series are tough Alphas devoted to serving their country and the women who love them.

National Guardsman Aiden King has been attracted to Hannah Walters for a while, but he never made a move because of her close relationship with his best friend. But when circumstances change, Aiden is surprised when his friend gives his blessing. Problem is, there’s a reason he’s still alone after all these years, and as much as he wants her, that secret keeps him from acting on his desires.

Hannah has finally decided to wait for the kind of love you read about in books and see in movies. After her failed engagement, Aiden’s unassuming support has become a touchstone for Hannah. It soon becomes apparent that he may be exactly the kind of man she’s been looking for. But the closer they become, the more he keeps her at arm’s length.

When Aiden suggests a road trip to take Hannah’s mind off her troubles, the two of them go on a journey neither one expected. She just hopes that the final destination is them together for good.

Loved Hannah & Aiden's story! Flawlessly written, breath taking story! Will definitely pull a few heartstrings! Highly Recommend

This fourth book in the Man Enough series by Nicole McLaughlin is a beautiful continuation of love, friendship and family. Meet Hannah. Her best friend Jase since childhood has fallen in love with her twin sister, so Hannah is feeling a little lost. She also has just broken off her engagement and she is now holding out for Mr. Just Right. Meet Aiden. He is a friend of Jase’s and has had a little crush on Hannah for quite a while, but, Aiden has a past that he must face before he can get into a serious relationship. With emotions running high for both Hannah and Aiden, the story twists and turns as these two characters find just what they have been looking for, in each other. I was gifted this book by St. Martin’s Press for an open and honest review.

Favorite Quotes:

Talk about good guys. Jase’s fellow National Guardsman and close friend was like a unicorn of men: kind, quiet, gentlemanly… he was handsome— in that bearded wilderness-man kind of way. He was also big and buff and could probably pick her up with his pinkie finger. As big as he was, did that mean . . . And just like that her mind went to a naughty place.

I hate the thought that maybe I’m not capable of the necessary feelings to be someone’s forever person. I mean, is that something you learn? Because if so I was obviously busy focusing on kissing when I should have been paying attention.

At the end of the day, I’m just an absolute hypocrite because I want to do what I want, when I want it, without anyone’s input. But I also want someone to do what I want with me, because who wants to do anything fun alone? And kissing. I miss kissing, Dad. Although we both know I’m using the word kissing, but I really… Sorry. Didn’t mean for that to get weird.

“This place has the worst name,” she said before they got out of the truck at Smokin’ D’s. “Sounds like a bra set on fire.”

My Review:

Although the premise and back-story were truly heartbreaking, Ms. McLaughlin provided engaging storylines with humorous observations and intriguing and enticing tidbits that kept the emotional tone well-balanced and easy to read. The traumatic issues suffered by the characters are sadly relevant in our world and resulting problems were realistically put forward in a humanizing and admirable manner. I applaud and covet Ms. McLaughlin’s agile word skills. I adored these endearing and quirky characters; they squeezed my heart while also providing me with a near constant smirk. More, please.

5 stars! I enjoyed reading Only With You by Nicole McLaughlin. This is the fourth book in her Man Enough series. Hannah and Aiden are incredible characters. Their story of friendship turned to love is one that will draw you in and keep your attention until the end. Well done, Ms. McLaughlin!

Aiden and Hannah have been friends for a while but been keeping a sort of distance but its clear there's an obvious attraction. Aiden has a past that that keeps him from getting to close. When a death occurs Aiden finds some information about his estranges mother and Hannah joins him on a road trip to meet her. The longer they are together though the harder it is to keep that distance.

I'm all for contemporary romances and this book just did it for me. I loved reading this book, getting to know the characters and getting to know more about Aiden's characters. I loved how supportive Hannah was and enjoyed seeing Hannah toe the line to see how far things can go for her and Aid. This book was so well written, there was little drama but enough going on to keep the readers hooked. I managed to binge read this book in a couple of hours and I don't even regret it because it was a pretty great book.

I liked this book because the characters seemed very realistic. Aiden struggles with his attraction to Hannah because of some deep rooted trauma that happened in his past. It was great to see a couple discuss this and commit to working things out with one another. I would highly recommend this book for the romance and the realism.

How special would it be if you were that “only with you” person? How many have you have been in a situation similar to Hannah and Jase and Becca? I thought with a few bumps, they handled this pretty well. I really like Hannah and Aiden together. They seem to complete each other. I think this is a story of love, patience, and dealing with some awful deeds and situations. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I received this book from NetGalley. My opinion is my own.

Only With You, a great book once I got into the storyline. I didn't realize it was part of a series but it could still be a standalone. I liked the character connection and storyline. Nicole McLaughlin knows how to write a good story. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Aiden and Hannah’s story is complicated and simple at the same time. Both have issues, some are down right heartbreaking and not easily left in the past. They’ll discover that friendship can lead to a forever kind of love… but only if they can trust the other with their true self, their buried secrets, the things they show to no one else. That’s asking a lot, to give that type of trust is a risk, but for this couple without that trust, that risk they won’t find forever with each other.

Having lived in the shadow of her so called “perfect” twin, Hannah is rather direct and outspoken – some might even cal her old fashioned nosy She’s a detail woman, the more she knows the better she understands and can adapt. She’s ended an engagement that wasn’t right for her. Now her friendship with Aiden could move in a different direction. One road trip and a lot of trust could change everything for them both.

I lost my heart to Aiden. His past has some very dark places, and it’s no wonder that he closes off parts of himself to others. Trusting is not an easy thing for him. He’s seen a lot, done a lot in his life and giving someone that kind of power over him is a huge risk. Up until now he’s kept the relationship with Hannah light, friendship level. But she’s always been a draw to him, and discovering that the one friendship he wouldn’t risk losing turned in another direction leaves Aiden free to act on his attraction to Hannah. Now, he has a choice to keep the casual friendship or risk everything and open himself up to a hurt he might not recover from… the missing ingredient is trusting Hannah with his present, his future, but most importantly, his past.

Only With You is an emotional journey. We all come with baggage, some heavier than others. Hannah and Aiden work, they compliment each other and on many levels heal each other. I believed them, I found them realistic and I definitely got emotionally involved with their story. Vagueness is necessary to avoid spoilers, yet this is a story I’d recommend to a good friend, so I feel comfortable saying that I’d recommend this story to any Contemporary Romance reader who loves to go a bit deeper in a romance.

Aiden is a tough guy of few words, but beneath his alpha persona are emotional wounds that threaten to prevent a relationship from developing with Hannah. Although their love story was emotional and heartbreaking, there were also moments that made me laugh. I felt every emotion as Aiden & Hannah struggled with the ups & downs of their new relationship. Only with You is a love story where two people who are complete opposites find a way to make it through the not so perfect moments.

Only With You is book 4 in the Man Enough series and is my very first read by this author but you can bet I will be buying more of her books!'

Hannah and Aiden have been friends but only on a superficial level. Hannah is coming off a broken engagement and still having issues with her best friend in the world Jase who is now dating her twin sister Becca. Though she is happy for them it's still hard because she feels like she lost her best friend...Aiden on the other hand has been attracted to Hannah for sometime but being Jase's best friend he doesn't want to stir up any problems so he doesn't pursue her until Jase's give him his blessing to go after Hannah.

With secrets, failed engagements, somewhat broken friendships, self doubt and emotional struggles can these two find their way to a HEA??

I loved Aiden and Hannah in this book! I had been waiting for Aiden’s story. He was such a private and mysterious guy, he just drew you to him as a reader, wanting to discover his secrets. As quiet as Aiden was, Hannah made up for. But soon these two found friendship and more. They had each other’s backs and were there when it was needed. It was a joy to watch these two fall in love.

This was my first book by Nicole McLauglin and even though this is book four in a series, it is a stand-alone and I was able to follow the story with no problems. It did make me want to go back and purchase the first three!
Nicole definitely dips her toes into some serious topics. She gives us just enough to know what happened, what deep seeded pain it caused, and still causes. I appreciated that she didn’t go into explicit detail on the emotional struggles they faced when the truths were revealed or the therapy and recovery, etc. as that would need to have been handled with perfection. I really liked the approach she took. It was heartbreaking and extremely emotional, and I felt she approached it with great care. I felt the pain and struggle, yet didn’t feel blasted with visuals. I do think this story could be a trigger for some, though.
