As a self-proclaimed Bravo addict (hello, love Million Dollar Listing!) I was so excited to read Ryan Serhant's book! His book is full of wit, great stories & a lot of wisdom and advice. I'm a self-employed business owner, so I felt like I could relate to a lot of the book - would make a great gift for a business owner, whether they're in real estate or not!

I admit that I chose this book because I used to watch Million Dollar Listing and have been fascinated by the author's success in real estate. He has a no limits approach when it comes to work and play. I loved his advice on starting the day with the task that you dread doing first so that the rest of the day runs smoothly. I always do the opposite and tried this approach at work the other day and have to admit I had a less stressful day because of it! This book has life hacks like that and also a lot of business tips. Overall, this was a great read that would benefit anyone, not just people in sales!

The author is completely unknown to me but evidently he is very famous in New York real estate.  Fairly typical rags to selling start story.   IMHO he could be the Zig Ziglar for the Millenial crowd.  His work ethic is to be admired and emulated. His success is due to single mindedness and very hard work. Simple concise text that is a good get out there and go kind of read.

Ryan Serhant's "Sell It Like Serhant" is a gem. I have been watching MDLNY for years now and followed his career from the beginning. Ryan's book opens with Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy and it takes off from there. Ryan's book reads not like a "self help" book or a piece of nonfiction per say, it reads as if you are having a conversation (and good pep talk) from a friend. Ryan is the kick in the tush you need to motivate yourself and kick start your next endeavor. Though I am a teacher and not in sales, Ryan's takeaway and advice is real, raw and heartfelt. A great read no matter what your job, career or life path. :)

I am a huge fan of Million Dollar Listing and one of my guilty pleasures is reading books authored by any Bravolebrity so I knew I wanted to read this book. On the show, we see Ryan Serhant as the snarky, workaholic who loves real estate. Out of all the other agents on the show, Ryan doesn’t make the process look easy. In fact, he always gets frustrated which is one of the more relatable things about him. I have always appreciated his wit and I enjoyed his persona even more on his short spin off on Bravo. This book however is completely different look at Ryan Serhant. He provides his sage advice and sound business reasoning but in his own way – like comparing it to Improv and blatantly telling you that shy being sucks. In my opinion, this was a well thought out book that Ryan not only put time into writing, but put the effort to help others. This book is not full of fluff instead it is a thoroughly presented narrative on how one person became successful. At some points in the book, I felt Ryan was yelling in my face like a motivational fitness trainer I spent $500 an hour on; it wasn’t fun, but it was necessary and honest. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a business focused self-help book that is written by a raw go-getter.

"A successful salesperson is a conscientious follow-upper". With his Mantra of hardwork, being organized to manage many balls in the air, Ryan Serhant shows how he has been able to accomplish all the great things he did like becoming a great real estate man. The more shots you take, the more you are likely to win echoing the winning through hardwork ethos of Michael Jordan in

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."

I havent heard of Ryan Serhant before or seen his TV show. I do like the human and artistic side of his persona through his acting passion which urges you to try creative ways of getting your things done like using improv to get comfortable putting yourself out there.

I couldnt get enough of the sale stories. I wanted more. Serhant is all about working productively to reach the goals.
