The author did an amazing job and extensive research in writing about a little known piece of history.  The American Negro Theatre was founded in Harlem in 1940 and played a crucial role in the Civil Rights Movement.  Many groundbreaking moments occurred at this theatre and the author did a brilliant job of highlighting the significance of this theatre.
