This might be my favorite book in the series. I fell in love with Morgan Dane in book 1 and couldn't wait to read this one and it did not disappoint! She is a very likable character, actually all of the main characters are in this series. Especially Lincoln Sharp, Morgan's Private Investigator. We really get to see into his past and why he is the way he is. He is a lovable "dad" type and his story line endures him even more. In this book, Morgan's client is accused of murder but can't remember anything from the night in question. As the story unravels more layers are added keeping you guessing about her client's guilt. Meanwhile, someone is trying to stop the investigation at every angle. Full of suspense and close calls for Morgan, the mystery aspect of this book is so good you almost forget it's also a romance. The love story between Morgan and colleague, Lance is sweet without being off putting or unrealistic. Their romance flows along in this book and a potential job makes both Morgan and Lance reevaluate where this is going. If you are into legal mysteries with a side of love, this is for you. I definitely suggest reading the previous 3 books, as this is book 4 in the series. If you already have, this book will not let you down.
