So sappy sweet and exactly what a girl wants when reading a Christmas-time romance. It has all the things you come to expect from a small-town romance. I adored this book and can't wait to read more from Nancy Naigle!

I am a sucker for a sweet Christmas story, and this one was a joy from start to finish. I loved the characters and the setting, and it put me in a festive mood. I'd recommend this to anyone who is a fan of (occasionally sappy) Christmas movies.

We meet Geoff and Anita. They are hard core rivals in business. There is also an atrraction between them you can't deny.! The town they live in is a charming beach town.

You will find yourself rooting for this couple and you can feel their sizzle through the pages.

The chapter headings were cute.

Great holiday romance!

This was a wonderfully sweet Christmas romance story that I really enjoyed. It is the story of a woman struggling to keep her small Christmas shop open, struggling to survive against a large Christmas store that seems to be taking away her business. It is an enemies to lovers story that was very enjoyable. If you are looking to read a very sweet and romantic Christmas story then this is the book for you!

Just not for me. Everyone was so mean all of the time at the start and I don’t think there was enough grovelling/apologising/growing as a person to make up for it at the end. This is You’ve Got Mail But with Christmas stores and if you didn’t like any of the characters. Hey ho.

This book was absolutely adorable and perfect for the holiday season. I love the premise of dear Santa letters, I loved the animosity between the main characters. I wanted a different outcome, but I was still very happy with the ending. Definitely one I'll recommend.

This book gives you all the feels of a Hallmark movie. If it hasn't been turned into one, well, then, it should be.

Angela Carson inherited the Heart of Christmas after her grandmother died. And despite the proof in the accounting, Angela is desperate to keep the place afloat. It seems easy to blame the new store in town, Christmas Galore, for the pending demise of her store...even if it isn't true. She finds the owner, Geoff to be infuriating and gorgeous...

Geoff Paisley is co-owner of Christmas Galore with his mother. The new store is thriving, and Geoff is surprised when he learns that his mother wants to stay for two years instead of one. He is even more surprised when his mother ends up in the hospital to learn that his father was from the area, the father he never knew. Maybe it won't be so bad to settle in one area...if only the local shop owner, Angela Carson, would stop being so angry at him. She sure is beautiful...

The story is predictable, but wonderful at the same time. Sometimes, we just need a predictable feel good book. I loved it and will read more of Nancy Naigle in the future.

From USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle, Dear Santa is a heartwarming Christmas story about finding your passion for life and love.

Angela Carson wants nothing more than to be the third-generation to run her family’s holiday store, Heart of Christmas, successfully. They’ve weathered over sixty tourist seasons, major hurricanes, and urban sprawl, in their old decommissioned lighthouse. But the national chain that set up shop in their small North Carolina town of Pleasant Sands may be more than Heart of Christmas can survive.

Encouraged by her niece to ask Santa for help through the Dear Santa app, Angela gives in and lets the words fly in a way that, if Santa were real, would no doubt land her on the naughty list. What’s the harm when it’s just a computer-generated response?

Geoff Paisley has been at his mother’s side running the mega-chain Christmas Galore for the last ten years. When his mother falls ill, Geoff promises to answer the Dear Santa letters in her stead. Soon he realizes the woman he’s been corresponding with on Dear Santa is Angela. How could the woman that grates his every last nerve in person have intrigued him so deeply through those letters?

When Geoff reveals that he’s her Dear Santa, will Angela be able to set aside their very public feud to embrace the magic of the holiday and possibly find true love?

Dear Santa by Nancy Naigle is a book that I started kind of randomly. I somehow picked this book to read via my Kindle app out of all the other Christmas books on that app. It remained mostly a background book while I was in the process of reading it. By that I mean, a book that I sporadically pick up while being much more engrossed or focused on other books. Overall, it was a cute Christmas read.

The storyline of Dear Santa basically centers around this woman named Angela who lives in a beach town. She runs a specialty store out of a lighthouse called The Heart Of Christmas. She’s about to be put of business by the competition, Christmas Galore which comes across as being similar to Christmas Tree Shops. Anyways, The Heart Of Christmas is like for expensive heirloom things and Christmas Galore is for cheap things. Regardless, she locks eyes with this handsome guy at the coffee shop. They cross paths again and she finds out he’s Geoff and the enemy. There’s also an app called Dear Santa where people write letters to Santa and Santa writes back. It’s sponsored by Christmas Galore. That’s a part of this book too.

I liked Dear Santa okay. I mean, Angela is an alright character but comes across as someone who does not have a ton of business sense. She’s very sentimental. That is not what I think you need to succeed. Also, I had a hard time believing her romance with Geoff. There’s some chemistry but it is very light and very sort of boring.

ON A SCALE OF ONE TO BUDDY THE ELF, HOW MUCH CHRISTMAS SPIRIT DOES DEAR SANTA HAVE?
Dear Santa reminds me of You’ve Got Mail a little bit as it is independently owned shop owner against a chain shop owner and romance. I did like reading about the Christmas village pieces that were expensive that Angela sold. I also liked hearing about the history of the shop and Angela’s family. Clearly she comes from a line of strong women. There’s Black Friday in this book. Also, there’s a snow village which is sort of cool. On the whole this has got some low key Christmas spirit, not quite at Buddy level but also not at a Grinch level.

I really enjoyed this book. In fact, I finished it in one day. It had serious You've Got Mail vibes and I loved that aspect of the story! The characters were all super relatable and I found myself really feeling for Angela and the position she found herself in with her store. This was a great Christmas read and I would definitely recommend the book!

Dear Santa by Nancy Naigle has us traveling to Pleasant Sands, North Carolina. Angela Carson owns Heart of Christmas located in an old lighthouse in Pleasant Sands, North Carolina. She is the third generation to run the store, but Angela is unsure how much longer the store can survive. Business has not been as brisk this year and it has gotten worse since Christmas Galore opened. While Heart of Christmas sells one of a kind handcrafted items, Christmas Galore carries more affordable options. Angela’s niece suggests she write to Santa via the Dear Santa app (sponsored by Christmas Galore) for help. Angela takes the opportunity to vent and waits to see what type of response she receives. Geoff Paisley manages Christmas Galore with his mother, and they move every two years to open a new location. Dear Santa is Rebecca Paisley’s special project and answers certain letters personally. When Rebecca becomes ill, she asks Geoff to answer the letters for her. A letter from Anita C. Miracle intrigues Geoff and he soon begins writing to her on a regular basis. When Geoff learns that Anita C. Miracle is Angela he is surprised, since they clash whenever they run into each other. Is there a chance for these two to reconcile their differences? See if the magic of Christmas can work on Angela and Geoff in Dear Santa.

Dear Santa is the perfect book for those who love to watch the Hallmark Christmas movies. It is nicely written with a cute romance and the story progresses along at a steady pace. I enjoyed the Dear Santa letters are the beginning of the chapters along with the trivia for Pleasant Sands, North Carolina. I liked the Angela’s store, Heart of Christmas. The store is in a lighthouse that features handcrafted items in a cozy atmosphere which I think is a wonderful idea. It is a shame that Angela did not keep up with the times. She was still running the store the same way it had been since the beginning (no online presence). Pleasant Sands sounded like a charming coastal town with friendly residents. I admit that I was not a fan of the main characters (Geoff and Angela) and especially disliked Angela’s sister, Marie (not supportive of her sister’s store). My favorite character was Angela’s niece. I did appreciate that Angela grew from her experience and I liked the epilogue. I did find that Dear Santa was very similar to the popular movie You’ve Got Mail. There is a secondary storyline regarding Rebecca Paisley and how she met Geoff’s father along with Virgil, their operations director. Unfortunately, the storyline seems to peter out and readers are left with unanswered questions. I was curious how Geoff did not realize he was writing to Angela write away. It was extremely obvious (Angela’s niece would have figured this one out sooner). I kept hoping for a different solution for Angela’s store and was disappointed how this thread played out. I wanted to give Angela a good talking too and suggest ways to improve her business. I am giving Dear Santa 3 out of 5 stars. Dear Santa is a book for readers who love feel-good romance novels.

Dear Santa by Nancy Naigle is a sweet, sweet Christmas story that was the perfect book to finish on Christmas Eve. It is about two business rivals that both own Christmas stores and how their love story progresses, even with that conflict between them. I was sucked into this story from the beginning. I loved learning about the town where the story takes place and how a large part of the story takes place over letters to and from Santa. I would highly recommend this Christmas story at any time of year (coming from the person that will listen to Christmas music year round!).

This is a cute, small town enemies to friends story. I felt like it started out great, really getting to know the characters, but then I felt it ended too abruptly. I now have so many questions. I'm hoping there will be a sequel.

Angela runs a small Christmas themed store "Heart of Christmas" and adores doing so, but when a megastore "Christmas Galore" comes in it threatens her business. On a whim and at the urging of her niece, Angela writes a 'letter' to Santa using Christmas Galore's Dear Santa phone app. Unbeknownst to her, every letter from the Dear Santa app gets a personalized response, and the owner of Christmas Galore gets hers. Geoff recognizes who Angela is from her letter, but keeps that secret so they can carry on a flirtation over letters but a public feud in real space.

Obviously this is a holiday version of You've Got Mail, and I've no problem with that. It stuck to the beats pretty firmly, only changing the side plots but keeping the main plot of the movie, which made it both predictable but also kind of comforting. I never really bought that Christmas Galore was a real store, though. I mean...really, a whole chain of these things? Why not a Hobby Lobby knockoff, that would make much more sense. Geoff felt about as off as his store, like he was trying to fit a mold from the movie when he would have been better off as something completely new. Also he kind of inherits Hank's creepiness, there's kind of no way around it when you're carrying on a secret romance with someone you're also fighting with.

Angela's storyline was great, and I loved her enthusiasm for her store and the quirkiness of it, as well as her heartbreak over her business troubles. Her and Geoff had a lot of good moments, especially in their emails. Overall not bad, but I think whether you like it or not will really depend on your feelings over You've Got Mail. It's got a very narrow target of "people who liked the movie but also don't mind seeing it copied."

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to review Dear Santa. If you are a fan of "You've Got Mail" or the classic movie "The Shoppe Around the Corner" you will love Dear Santa. This take on the classic story is about a quaint Christmas shop located in an old lighthouse and a mega big box Christmas store that comes to town putting the little store in jeopardy. Needless to say, the owners of both stores have a love-hate relationship, eventually, love wins out. A very enjoyable read.

Dear Santa by Nancy Naigle is a contemporary romance that is of course set at Christmas time. Told by alternating the point of view between the characters this one reminds me a bit of You’ve Got Mail the holiday version.

Dear Santa was a heart-warming holiday novel! I enjoyed the small-town friendly atmosphere and the holiday spirit throughout the story. Dear Santa takes place in a North Carolina town. Angela has been running her store, Heart of Christmas, here for many years. She has taken over the store in the tradition and memory of her family that started the store. Heart of Christmas sells pricier high-quality items and over the recent years has been struggling financially. Things seem especially worse now that the new impersonal and cheaper Christmas Galore has set up a store in the same town. Angela actually gets into some embarrassing confrontations with one of the owners of Christmas Galore in public. Angela’s young niece tells her about a “Dear Santa” app where she can write a letter to Santa. Angela writes a letter to Santa to get Santa’s help with her store. Somehow, Angela ends up corresponding with “Santa” as she struggles more and more with the future of her store. As Christmas nears, Angela is hoping for a Christmas miracle that will help her decide what she should do. Both the characters and the story are delightful! This is a great book to get you into the holiday spirit.

In Dear Santa, we met Angela who runs her family’s holiday store and while as of late the store isn’t doing too good this year it seems as though this might be its last especially since the new big box store Christmas Galore has come into town. With its mega savings and everything you could ask for Angela just can't compete. One day her niece advises her to write a letter to Santa via an app and Angela who is all against technology finally agrees and soon she and Santa are messaging back and forth. Who is this “Santa” and will her wishes come true this Christmas?

Geoff didn’t think that his new store would cause this much trouble but when the owner of the local Christmas store blames him for her store closing he tries to get her off his mind but it seems everywhere he goes he bumps into her and soon he finds himself liking her more and more. He is also dealing with his mother who he is partners with but when her health takes a turn for the worse he soon finds out things about her and her past that he never knew about.

As time goes by Angela knows that Geoff isn’t to blame for her store closing she has seen it coming for years, but now she must decide what she wants to do in this new chapter in her life and she wants to make the right choice. Not only is she dealing with that her feelings for Geoff that can't be denied any longer she has to tell him since they have been spending so much time together. So will these rivals become more or will business come between them?

I really enjoyed this read it was cute and cozy and how could you not like a romantic Christmas read? Was it predictable? Yes, we all know they will, of course, end up together but who cares as long as its done right I have no problem with it and this was done right. So if you like a romantic read then pick this one up and enjoy!
