Book 2 opens shortly after Book 1 ends. Hideo’s algorithm has been downloaded into all the neurolinks. Only the old beta ones leave people with a free mind. The Phoenix Riders have been accused of cheating and there will be a rematch for the first time in history. Emika is being hunted down by assassins as she is number one on the hit list in the Dark World. Who comes to her rescue - Zero. Can she trust him?

It looks like there will be lots of action in the new book, along with the continuing story line of Video and Zero, the love story between Hideo and Emika, and what will happen with society, will everyone be allowed to live their lives as they see fit. I think it will be hard to read Book 2 as a standalone. I think you will need the context of the first book, for maximum enjoyment.

As an excerpt usually does, it reminds you of what you liked in the first book and teases what is coming up in the new story. I’m excited to get back into this world and see what will happen. Can’t wait for the release - I will be purchasing this, for sure!

WHAT TO EXPECT ABOUT WILDCARD
First, be amazed for the nth time how incredible Marie Lu writing style is.
Expect to be bombarded with lots of twist you surely don’t wanna miss.
Expect to love and hate new and old characters.
Expect that you can finish the book in one sitting as it’s a fast paced book.
Expect new learning about the ginormous things technology can do in our daily life nowadays.
Expect that you will cry in the end as you want to read more about the book but sadly it is just a duology.
Expect to read diverse characters
And lastly, expect that you will spend money TO BUY AND PRE-ORDER THE BOOK, as it is one of the book that you should add to your gigantic and never ending TBR and collection of books.

OMG ASJHDJHSKLJHLKHDSLJH I just need the rest of this book now! I read Warcross, for the first time, a few weeks ago and this little sneak peek was just enough to throw me back into this story and world, leaving me with the frustration that I can't read it all just yet!

Not going to lie, I didn't love "Warcross", but I wanted to give "Wildcard" a chance. I think "Warcross" came off a little too much like "Ready Player One". "Wildcard" seems to have a different feel, and so far I'm really enjoying it. Needless to say, I'm actually really sad it was only a sneak peak. I was excited to read more. I can't wait!

This little sneak peek was maddening because I knew that the high action follow up of Lu's first book, Warcross was going to end badly for me by leaving me hanging with no alternative but try and forget what I read.



This book is going to be on the YA must read lists in the same way that Warcross continues to be on the must read lists.



This book continues to be an ethical dilemma about free choice and evil, but it also has all the best elements of a spy thriller like Bourne Ultimatum or Mission Impossible.

Great sneak peek (thank you Netgalley), it peaked my curiosity and left me wanting more!

Great start. I was a bit worried in the beginning as to how I was going to like this but my curiosity is definitely peaked and I cannot wait to finish it.

Loved this! Took me right back to finishing Warcross and got me preordering Wildcard can't wait to read it!

This sample made me even more excited to read this book! Can't wait till September 18. I loved Warcross, and I'm counting down the days until the sequel comes out.

This wildcard Sampler was an epic ride that left me waiting for the real release! Already you can tell this is a fast paced book filled with action! At just the start, Emika is chased down by assassins! You can definitely except great things to come with the full novel!

I am excited to have had the opportunity to read an excerpt ahead of the release from NetGalley! This book continues on from Warcross with Emika, Hideo and Zero all caught up in messes again.

What I am loving is the tension I’m feeling with the characters - when I feel what they feel, I’m drawn in. Plus, who doesn’t love a bad-ass little lady who is into video games and technology?!

Eagerly waiting for the full book release and will post a full review after!

After reading the sneak peak I am looking forward to action that is sure to continue in this book. I can hardly wait.

There wasn't enough of the book for me to give it a justified review. From what I have read it seems good but I do not know if that will continue. I will update my review when I read the full book

Okay so I've downloaded this book but haven't got the chance to read it yet, only a glimpse and then my phone was stolen so it's impossible for me to read it. Therefore all I could say is give me the book please!!
