I love starting a second book in a series as you already know the characters and it just feels so comfortable. I really enjoyed the book focused on Tracy and her life. She's grown up so much and has a new love interest and has found her passion to help children. I recommend this series!

She did it again. Bette Lee Crosby took us back to Magnolia Grove and the Briggs family. Where Tracy is getting her life on track, taking care of her hearing impaired son and running the family business. But just when everything is going great, up pops her ex to wreck havoc on her life.

I have always enjoyed Ms. Crosby's books, having read so many of them, and this one is no exception. The loving family story behind it, the way she makes her characters fill your heart and soul, has only made me wanting to read more and more of her books.

Bravo...looking forward to a book #3, because I have a feeling it's not the last we see of Dominic!

A YEAR OF EXTRAORDINARY MOMENTS, the second book in Bette Lee Crosby’s new Magnolia Grove series, is a wonderfully-written and emotional story that kept me flipping the pages from beginning to end. I loved the first book, A SUMMER OF NEW BEGINNINGS and was excited to return to Magnolia Grove and the Briggs family. This book focuses more on Meghan’s sister, Tracy and her son, Lucas. We are also introduced to a new character, Alice, the grandmother of Tracy’s ex, Dominic. All of the characters are so well-developed and relatable that I felt like I knew them personally. The story has the perfect blend of family drama, mystery and romance. I thoroughly this heartwarming book about the bonds of family and the hard choices that must be made to pave the way to a happier future. I hope there will be more books in this series in the future! Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read an early copy.

A Year of Extraordinary Moments by Bette Lee Crosby. I was introduced to Bette Lee Crosby in her book The Summer of New Beginnings and A Year of Extraordinary Moments was the second book in The Magnolia Grove
Series. I loved both books. A Year of Extraordinary Moments made me think about my mom when she was dying Of esophagus cancer and even with all her pain she was trying to make things better for all as did Alice in the story. I wanted the story to go on forever. I love all the characters in the story even Dominic who set out to make everyone’s life miserable. You cannot help to feel sorry for him. Their is so much kindness and love in the story. I loved the ending and the way Alice set up the will. If I told you I would spoil the story. Prepare to cry a little a long the way.

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley. It is a sequel but you
could read it as a standalone. I
recommenf you read book 1 first
because it also was a good book and gives you more of the beginning of the story.. I like the
way Bette Lee Crosby weaves the
story so it continues from one to the next but you don't feel like she left any thing out in prior book. This is a great sisters story, a love story and so much more....

It was wonderful to re-connect with the Briggs family from book 1 in this series - The Summer of New Beginnings. I really enjoy reading about this family and hope that there will be more books about them in the future. The family is made up of the widowed mom and two sisters Meghan and Tracy. Book 1 was Meghan's story where she had her struggles and got her happily ever after. In this new novel, we get Tracy's story. Tracy was an unwed mother with a young son Lucas who is hearing impaired. When she left her nasty boyfriend, Dominic, she moved back into her family home. Just as her life gets back in a good place, Dominic comes back to town to try to win her back. Does he really want her back or does it all have something to do with his grandmother's farm and fact that she might leave it to Lucas when she dies. Alice, Dominic's grandmother is absolutely the nicest person that I've met in a book in a long time. She cared about her family despite the way they treated her and only wanted the best for everyone.

I highly recommend this series. The characters are well written - flaws and all - and feel like people that you know. As usual, Betty Lee Crosby brings us wonderful characters and a fantastic book.

Thanks to the author for a copy of this book to read and review. All opinions are my own.

A delightful story of family, friends, lies, failures and successes.

Although this was my first book by this author, Reading the story from the very different perspectives of the various characters, really allowed the reader to become attached to each character. I would recommend this book to friends for a wonderful, light and Happy read!

Humorous book with enjoyable characters. Blends the hectic holiday season with stolen Christmas trees, snowy, icy wintery weather and murder. Add in a dash of good-natured joking (ha) and a little love and a missing girl. Funny Book.

I just love Bette Lee Crosby's books! She has such a gift and talent for storytelling that draws me in and keeps me reading page after page. I was so excited to continue reading the story of the Briggs family after her first book The Summer of New Beginnings. This book focuses on Meghan's sister Tracy and her son Lucas and the life they were putting together with Gabriel. I was pulled into the story right away and couldn't put the book down.
Ms. Crosby's way with written words is amazing. I went the spectrum of emotions in this book. Her storytelling tugs at my heartstrings. I felt the emotions of the characters as I was reading. I was sobbing in places and needed tissues. I was excited for events that were being planned. I was happy. This book really did have "extraordinary" moments that kept me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. I love Ms. Crosby's stories because she leaves me feeling
good at the end of the book.

I really like this line that the character, Alice, had:

"...but life is so much more complicated than we realize. It's not one long stretch of time that starts on the day you're born and ends on the day you die; it's a collection of meaningful moments with spots of happiness and sorrow in between."

It's those moments in life that make up the story and the meaningfulness that a life is.

Thank you, Bette, for the wonderful book. I give it a HUGE EXTRAORDINARY 5 stars!

After reading The Summer of New Beginnings, I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book. Bette Lee Crosby has brought to life the Briggs family and their story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Her storytelling is pure perfection, I was so caught up within the story that I had tears running down my cheeks at the end. I highly recommend this fast-paced, and heartwarming book!

This is the sequel to The Summer of New Beginnings(Magnolia Grove #1). There are some up's and down's in this book. The primary focus was on Tracy and Alice DeLuca and Tracy's son Lucas [who has a hearing problem]. Alice is Dominic's [Tracy's ex] grandmother. I loved all the characters except Dominic. Tracy was trying to get her life on track when she realizes her true calling is working with children. Tracy's relationship with Gabriel is staring to blossom. Alice calls Dominic to ask him to come home telling him that she doesn't have much time left and wants to spend as much time as she can with him. Dominic returns home. Alice tells Dominic that he needs to do the right thing by his son Lucas, well Dominic ends up telling Alice that Lucas wasn't his son. He says Tracy cheated on him. Alice decides to hire a Private Investigator and learns the truth. Alice then decides to go see Tracy and get her side of the story. Alice tells Dominic that she was leaving the farm to Lucas. Alice then starts to have a relationship with Tracy and Lucas, she even went to see the school that Lucas goes to. Then one day Dominic decides to go see Lucas and Tracy comes outside and Dominic tells Tracy he wants Lucas to get to know his grandma and they get into an argument and Tracy tells him that his grandma has gotten to know Lucas as she has been visiting and spending time with Lucas. Dominic left in a huff and went to get drunk and when he went home to talk to his grandma she wasn't there so he called Alice's friend Charlie only to find out that she was in the hospital so he goes to the hospital in his drunken state and is told he needs to come back during visiting hours. Dominic's grandma passes away. During the visitation a lady [who turned out to be Real Estate Agent] put her business card in his hand. Dominic did call her and was told the farm and land was worth a whole lot of money. Dominic and a friend came up with a plan and Dominic hired a lawyer to sue Tracy for Guardianship/Custody/Joint Custody of Lucas. When Alice died I had tears in my eyes for Alice, Tracy, Lucas and Gabriel. To find out everything that happened you really need to read this book. If you read book The Summer of New Beginnings (Magnolia Grove #1) then you MUST read this book.
I would like to say thank you to Bette Lee Crosby and to Lake Union for allowing me to get an advance copy of this awesome book to read!! #AyearOfExtraordinaryMoments #NetGalley

A Year of Extraordinary Moments was very enjoyable. I am a reader who likes books series since when you read a book, you fall in love with the characters and the setting and you don't want to leave them. This book follows Tracy and her son - two characters I loved from the first book. There is a little mystery in this book, and a new character that is just wonderful. I hope there will be another book in this series!

Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read this book.

I had been eagerly awaiting the second book in the Magnolia Grove series and I was not disappointed! I liked that this book was told from a few different perspectives, but the primary focus was on Tracy and Alice (grandmother of Dominic, Tracy's ex). The characters are all delightful (with the exception of Dominic, of course!) In this book, Tracy is coming into her own and discovering what she loves to do - helping children. In addition, her relationship with Gabriel is blossoming. Her new interests are time consuming and this causes some conflict with her sister, Meghan, because she's somewhat neglecting her responsibilities at Snip 'N Save (the family business that she promised to run). Meanwhile, Alice is trying to sort out her grandson, Dominic's, lies to determine if Tracy's son is in fact her great-grandson. I love how the plot unfolded (including some sweet moments and some tense moments) as well as the addition of Alice (I kept wondering how such a sweet lady could have such a rotten grandson). I'm hoping there will be a third book in this series! I was provided with an ARC from the author via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.

I received this book "A Year Of Extraordinary Moments" from NetGalley and all opinions expressed are my own. Wow! This is better than the first book (The Summer of New Beginnings) and I could not put this book down. The story is mostly following Tracy in this second book. I loved the new character "Alice" she was such a sweet lovable lady. Dominic is back and causing trouble as usual, but that is what he does. There is even a mention of Paterson (one T Bette) and Little Falls lol. Growing up in northern New Jersey I know these towns - kinda fun to see in a book. Everything seems to be worked out in the end but I know if there is a third book in the works that things will stir up again. Easy, fast paced read and I look forward to more books by Bette Lee Crosby as they are always enjoyable.

This is the sequel to The Summer of New Beginnings. It is just as great as the first in the series. The plot is well written and although it is done in several voices, one does not get lost. A feel good story in the end. The characters are believable and one falls in love with them. There is mystery and surprises. I highly recommend it.
