Kathleen Fuller being one of my favorites drove me a little crazy with The Teacher's Bride. The back and forth and indecisiveness of the male character Christian was a little too much for me, I felt that thru the book he was not the one for Ruby and all Ruby wanted was for him to see her and have Faith guide him to her. He took his sweet ol time while poor Ruby was waiting and waiting like a love sick puppy. I was done for when she decided to move back home. It could have been a 5 star read if it wasn't dragged on for so long.

I was pleased with how this book flowed. Never a dull spot. Kept me turning the pages.
It was great see how Pricilla was able to overcome abuses to God's love and her given match. Great story line.

While starting off a little bit rocky, this book fell into a nice cadence that followed Ruby and Christian through some difficult times as they find themselves and each other. There is a lot of focus on Selah and Martha, too, leading me to wonder whether there will be other books in a possibly new series that focuses on each of those two ladies. There are subjects covered that I haven't seen in Amish fiction, such as depression, anxiety, and the everyday struggles that an Amish teacher faces in the schoolroom...it was refreshing to see new topics addressed. Overall, I enjoyed the book and watching the main characters' journey together.

This is a heartwarming story about family, faith and love. It is Christian and Ruby's story. They are two people who think that they are opposites but, who come together in friendship. In each other they find the strength and encouragement to become what they are truly meant to be. Surrounded by family, friends and their faith they find their way to each other. It is a heartwarming story and I would recommend it.
